A/C Blowing Hot or Warm on One Side – Free Car A/C Help

Automobile air conditioning systems that emit heat on one side and cold on the other typically have one of two problems. In this short article on auto repair, a master auto technician shares his experience, derived from working on air conditioners in Florida for the past two decades. This free information can be just as useful to the DIYer as it is to a consumer who knows the value of being informed when it comes to dealing with auto repair shops. Read on for free car air conditioning help when the air is blowing hot on ONE side.

Cars that blow cold on one side of the dash and heat on the other are typically equipped with a dual-zone climate control system. Dual zone systems allow the driver and front passenger to adjust respective temperatures to their comfort levels. There are two common causes of a temperature difference when both sides are set to the coldest setting, let’s cover the first one.

low coolant

Car air conditioners using 134A generally contain a small amount of refrigerant compared to older cars using R12. Today’s car and truck air conditioners are much more efficient than their older counterparts. The fact that 134A systems use less freon means that a leak can more quickly affect the performance of an HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system. Due to the design of dual AC systems, low coolant is the primary cause of the drastic temperature difference from one side of the switchgear to the other. Even highly experienced auto mechanics may be surprised to learn that as little as 4 to 8 ounces of 134A at no load can make a world of difference. The temperature from the left to the right vent can vary from 10 to 20 degrees. The easiest thing to try is to recharge the system or, better yet, flush out all the freon and recharge the unit with the factory-specified amount. In most cases, after the proper charge of Freon is in the car, the temperature will drop just as cold as it should on BOTH sides!

What if that doesn’t help? Read on for another possible cause of the problem.

HVAC door problem

Dual zones supplying different temperatures from vents on each side of the dash are achieved through the use of small doors within the HVAC housing. By controlling the doors, the air temperature on the left and right can be adjusted to the desired comfort level. Many times, the motor (or actuator) that controls the door on either side can fail or the door itself can break and avoid temperature. to be adjusted. Diagnosing this problem is more complex and may be the subject of another article. Thank you for reading. Hopefully, the free information provided here will help remedy the “air conditioner blowing hot or warm from the side of the dash” problem.

Paintball – The history of the sport

Today, paintball is a popular sport that has spread throughout the world and has become a truly global leisure activity. Its evolution into the modern game has happened very quickly compared to most sports. The paintball gun traces its origins to the early 1970s when James Hale of Daisy Manufacturing invented and patented a gun for marking trees and cattle. The main creators of this game were Bob Gurnsey, a sporting goods retailer, Hayes Noel, a stockbroker, and Charles Gaines, a writer and it is widely accepted that the first arcade game took place on June 27, 1981 in New Hampshire, USA, when 12 friends used these Nel-spot 007s to play a primitive version of ‘capture the flag’ on a 100+ acre field. Legend has it that the victor captured the flag without firing a single shot. As the game progressed, minor modifications were made to the guns to limit power, and the paintballs changed from oil-based to water-based to make it easier to wash paint off clothing.

The game was first marketed by Charles Gaines as the “National Survival Game” (NSG), a name reflecting the nature of paintball as it was first played. From time to time, the groups of people playing would be divided into teams, but most of the games were a case of every man for himself. As recreational paintball became more popular and sophisticated, more people played the game and the use of equipment became the standard. Many different types of offensive/defensive games began to form, but “capture the flag” was still the most popular. With the growing popularity of the sport came the development of the commercial industry and more organized tournament-style games.

The first outdoor commercial paintball field was opened in 1982 in Rochester NY by Caleb Strong and the same man opened the indoor version in 1984 in Buffalo NY This allowed large groups of people to gather in one place and play and encouraged the Paintball business owners develop game play further to keep players interested and entertained. “Bunker-style” play came into being, and the smaller courses seem to benefit everyone. They meant that players could get into the action faster without having to stalk through the woods for ten minutes without seeing anyone, and business owners were happy because players were buying more paintballs due to the constant gunfights.

Today, commercial paintball fields are common, but many still prefer to play in the woods in non-commercial games. While this is cheaper, it can be more troublesome and dangerous than paying to play on a commercial site. Although most enthusiasts only play recreationally, professional teams are formed all the time and compete nationally and internationally. The first tournament with cash prizes was held in 1983 and even then the prizes were worth $14,000, today the prizes are worth millions of thousands of dollars. In 1992 the NPPL (National Professional Paintball League) was founded and became the leading force in professional tournament play when it began its Pro-am series in the US.

Tech Cars, a dream project or the worst nightmare?

Electric car fans relish the opportunity to demonstrate two photos taken 13 years earlier in New York City to show exactly how quickly things can change. One photo is of Fifth Avenue in the middle of the 1900 Easter March, where the road is lined with horses and buggies. The other photo, taken in 1913 at exactly the same time, demonstrates that the parade is filled with the latest cars from that era and there are no horses or wagons in the picture.

The change happened quickly and extensively and opened another period in the individual transportation system. He also addressed the issue of what to do about city lanes covered in horse manure. Electric vehicle devotees say a comparable wave of mechanical change is not far off with battery-powered vehicles. The ecological advantage, they say, will be greater.

However, spoilers hold that electric vehicles have their own pollution problems and that the effect is simply being removed from the brain.

Life cycle research shows that the battery produces a large amount of CO2, which is decreasing. There are a more notable number of waste and reprocessing issues that need to be resolved in the urgency of a world powered by lithium particle batteries.

Electric vehicles charged by coal-fired power plants may be less expensive to operate (30 cents per liter instead of $1.40), however they are more expensive to purchase and apparently result in less of an ecological advantage.

However, Behyad Jafari of the recently established Electric Vehicle Council says the negative scrutiny focuses too much on the here and now. For supporters like the government’s environment minister, Josh Frydenberg, this is another iPhone instant: the cusp of shifting to another era.

Others warn that it could end up being more like a mini CD or a 3-D TV.

Jafari says that the governments of China and Europe are mandating a switch to battery-powered vehicles and that a well-known automaker, including GM, Hyundai, Mercedes, Volvo and VW, is currently organizing the switch.

He says that the advantages are not intended to decrease CO2 gases. Gasoline and diesel cars produce toxic particles that cause respiratory problems and premature deaths.

Time moves on and so do the needs of man. It doesn’t matter where you live in the world. We have to get on with the world. We have to meet all the upcoming challenges with these technology cars. Dealing with all these problems could be the worst nightmare, but we have to face it. This is what we call evolution.

Single Axle Vs Tandem Axle: What’s the Difference?

There are many aspects to evaluate when deciding to purchase a single-axle or dual-axle trailer. The first thing to know is that the number of axles will determine the number of wheels: a tandem trailer has two sets of wheels. Single axle trailers have fewer tires and brakes to maintain. So now you are wondering if it is better to have a single or double trailer and how those axles will affect the carrying weight performance.

Single-axle trailers, as the name implies, are easier to handle and retrofit because they only have one axle at each end. Consequently, the smaller size trailer makes them more fuel efficient than tandem counterparts and often costs less to purchase. Not only are they easier to park, but they are less expensive and cheaper to tow. When shopping for a trailer, you might also think about maintenance costs. In this case, fewer tires result in lower replacement costs.

The biggest drawback is its smaller size, which means you can’t haul as many goods as you can with tandem trailers. Movement abilities are usually smaller, so you may face some limitations as there are only two attempts to carry the weight. Although these are easier to park, you will not feel very stable when riding on bumpy roads.

Tandem axle trailers are a trailer with two sets of axles, designed to handle additional weight in any road condition. Tandem trailers are great for heavy loads as an ideal option at higher speeds. When loaded correctly, they are not only safer, but also less likely to sway. You often have much better suspension, no matter what you’re hauling. By choosing a tandem model, you could possibly tow more weight, so the additional upfront expense is worth it in the long run.

While the level of towing is not that important in the first case, here you need to pay more attention because if you tow unevenly on only one set of axles, you are risking the life of your tires. If it’s light, your fuel economy will also suffer. If you decide to invest in a tandem trailer with more axles, you should keep in mind that more maintenance is required with bearings, tires, and grease.

In the end there is no right decision, it all depends on your needs and weight loads.

Recharging Stations for Electric Vehicles Investment Opportunities

Venture capital firms and investor-owned utilities (IOUs) invest in electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Some stations include covered solar panel charging stations. Cities across the United States are setting up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in downtown areas and suburbs, building support for electric cars.

This boost of green energy is highly visible. Will this market ever be complete with gas stations? Lawmakers in Washington have approved a bill to allow electric power utilities and IOUs to invest in the electric vehicle charging sector. These investments receive the usual rate of return approved by the PUC.

Regulators in many states did not prohibit investor-owned utilities from selling electricity at retail charging stations. Can anyone imagine arriving at a Shell or BP station to find electric vehicle charging stations located near air compressors? When will the changes in the automobile industry be reflected in the gas station industry? Electric cars travel 75 to 179 miles on a charge. This issue currently prohibits traveling across the country in electric vehicles.

There are more than 23,000 charging stations in the US This infrastructure investment exceeds $130 million. These infrastructure costs decline as technology improves and public support increases. Large areas in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California are excellent states for this new investment.

Utilities operate large transmission and electrical networks and invest in major infrastructure projects. They are ideal investors and sponsors to build networks of charging stations. Investors could include car companies with large electric vehicle divisions.

This type of investment is permitted in the deregulated subsidiaries of Electric Investor Owned Utilities such as ConEd Solutions, NRG and DTE Energy Investments. Returns can be higher, and better or more efficient technology can often be found in this area of venture capital. The return on investment in small and medium cities could be 8% to 12%. Many cities will want to own and control these investments. The data generated by these stations will help city managers place more as demand increases.

Green energy markets are expanding in commercial and industrial businesses. Imagine that large corporations install many electric vehicle charging stations as part of their employees’ annual goodwill expenses. This will happen soon.

Will money from pension funds enter this sector? Hedge funds and other energy investment investors will enter this field as the electric vehicle market matures. Ford, Toyota and Tesla are selling a lot of electric vehicles. This makes sense in a country full of environmentalists and a nation determined to do the right thing to move our auto industry forward.

Serviced – V6 Ford Mustang Hotness!

I recently had the opportunity to test drive the upgraded 2011 Ford Mustang at Ford’s race track in Dearborn, Michigan, and I can tell you that the V8 and V6 models are a lot of fun.

pony rivalry

Released in 2005, the current version of the Mustang had a significant mid-cycle upgrade for the 2010 model year, but one glaring problem remained: the aging 4.0L V6 with a measly 210 horsepower output was left unchanged. This immediately put the ‘Stang at a disadvantage against the all-new Chevrolet Camaro, which was returning after an eight-year absence.

Suddenly, Ford’s pony car took a backseat to its main rival, something Ford technicians promised to topple for the 2011 model year.

And what do they have?

hot engines

The V8 engine has been upgraded and is worth considering if you want that much power. Fuel economy isn’t bad at 26 highway mpg, but my guess is the new V6 will suffice for many drivers.

The V6 engine chosen should be familiar to Lincoln MKS and Ford Taurus owners, especially if they choose the 3.7L EcoBoost engine. That engine, with dual-fuel induction and turbocharged power, gives the Mustang 305 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. Significantly, the Mustang does all that and more while getting 31 miles on the highway on a gallon.

Yes, you read that right: 31 mpg. Same mileage as a Kia Forte equipped with a 2.4L I4 engine. Simply amazing.

Ford manages to do this thanks to an optional six-speed slush box that’s actually more efficient than the standard six-speed manual transmission. Electric power steering also helps, allowing the Ford to operate without the drag of a hydraulic power steering pump. Ford worked overtime to make sure the Mustang was efficient without sacrificing power; I can tell you that this V6 does not disappoint!

stylish interior

But the goodness isn’t just under the hood. The elegant styling of the Mustang is back while the interior is comfortable, well-designed and attractive. But for someone whose six-foot frame is often strained when getting into a smaller car, the Mustang’s shoulder, hip, head and leg room is plenty.
Improved interior sound deadening is noticeable, but thankfully didn’t negate the sweet whine of the exhaust. Pony car enthusiasts expect some noise, including the screeching of tires, the roar of the engine, and the hiss that is enjoyed by harnessing lower torque. Limiting those attributes would defeat the purpose of owning a Mustang, something Ford engineers were careful not to do.

MyKey Option

The 2011 Mustang’s instrument cluster has been upgraded and now features a 160-mph speedometer and 8,000-rpm tachometer. MyKey is also available, allowing parents to limit the temptation young drivers face to give it up. Parents, just don’t turn the Mustang into a Focus… let your kids enjoy at least some of the thrills!

All in all, the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 is hot. Even the standard model that retails for just over $22,000 offers plenty, including 17-inch painted-aluminum wheels, a premium sound system, and dual stainless-steel exhaust. Value for money and offering a lot of impact for the price!

Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla – The differences between fame and oblivion

I recently saw the movie “The Prestige”. The story is about two fiercely rival wizards and is set in the 1890s. A subplot in the film concerns the largely forgotten rivalry between scientists and inventors Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison. Entrepreneurs today can learn a lot from the Edison/Tesla saga.

Thomas Edison is one of the most famous and revered Americans of all time, and with good reason. Schoolchildren are taught that he harnessed electricity, invented the light bulb and the phonograph. He was granted 1,093 patents during his long and rewarding creative life. His summer lab in Fort Myer, Florida, remains a major tourist destination. Additionally, Edison made millions of dollars marketing his patents and product innovations. To this day we have all benefited from his genius.

Nikola Tesla, on the other hand, is virtually unknown today. He was born in Serbia, moved to the United States and became one of the most renowned scientists of his time. He was, in many ways, the prototype of the “mad scientist” so often depicted in books and movies. His eccentricity and his poor business decisions were the stuff of legends. And yet, Tesla’s inventions and scientific advances are just as important in our contemporary life as Edison’s.

As a young immigrant scientist, Tesla worked for Edison. Edison held the patent for direct current (DC) and, as always, was aggressively pursuing the commercialization of his patents. Famed banker JP Morgan was an early financial backer of Edison’s DC. Edison built a generator in New York City that could provide the miracle of light in homes, including Morgan’s Murray Hill mansion. It was considered a wonder of the day.

However, Tesla recognized that DC had serious limitations, specifically in supplying electricity over a vast network. He championed alternating current (AC). Edison was furious. AC was a direct attack on his patents. He had no business right to AC power generation. Tesla left Edison and the two great scientists became enemies for life.

Tesla presented his AC theories to George Westinghouse, another enemy of Edison. The two became partners and a race between AC and DC devotees began. Westinghouse and Tesla believed that AC was superior to DC due to the arc and the larger power footprint the system could deliver.

Edison, an unusual combination of a man of science and an excellent businessman, carried out an aggressive; some say the public relations campaign was savage to support his conviction that DC was the best technology. He performed public electrocutions of animals in an effort to demonstrate that DC was a safer, cleaner source of energy. He even allowed DC to be used in the first electrocution of a criminal sentenced to death. This public display was botched and the criminal was horribly re-electrocuted. The audience was shocked.

Meanwhile, Westinghouse commissioned Tesla to harness the power of Niagara Falls to generate safe and widespread electricity using AC technology. Testing and subsequent network performance confirmed that AC was the superior technology. Morgan and Edison were forced to buy shares in AC.

Thomas Edison prospered for the rest of his days. His connections with JP Morgan led to the establishment of General Electric, one of the world’s great companies to this day. He died rich, revered and famous.

Tesla was a great contributor to the evolution of our modern energy system. The many scientific endeavors involved in the electrification of the United States and the world would have occurred much more slowly without his inventions and creativity. Tesla was crucial to the perfection and acceptance of AC, the standard used to this day. And yet Tesla died bankrupt, alone, nervous.

Edison invented the light bulb. However, without widely distributed, safe, and affordable electricity, the light bulb was worth little. A car without an internal combustion engine is a wagon. Similarly, the perfection of Tesla’s AC was the tool that made the light bulb so valuable. Tesla’s success inadvertently affirmed Edison’s legacy.

Edison could sell. He was a genius at self-promotion. He could seek and obtain capital based on his reputation. He had charm and charisma. Edison created a legend for himself.

Tesla had none of these qualities. He made bad business decisions. His reputation for being difficult closed many promising business doors. Tesla was dark and tough. English was his second language and he was never comfortable in a public format. The science of it has been clouded by the many futuristic predictions of it. Much of today’s modern pseudoscience and UFO acolytes are based on tidbits of Tesla’s preaching.

The ability to commercialize inventions is the key difference between creative types and successful entrepreneurs. We all know people with a vibrant imagination and inventiveness. We all also know that few of these people succeed in turning imagination into reality.

A successful entrepreneur needs a variety of skills and talents to overcome the din of our highly competitive marketplace. Successful designers and engineers are often great employees, unless they can communicate, sell, market, and strategize. The inventor who lacks these skills has many other potential routes to success. Licensing, partnerships and alliances are viable options.

Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, and Ray Kroc are stellar examples of what it takes to be successful. They are versatile, adaptable and visionary. Nikola Tesla was a genius, but only in one area. The science of it is invaluable. Today, Tesla’s personal, business, and historical legacy is largely forgotten. Every student learns about Thomas Edison. It took me an afternoon at the movies to be fleetingly reminded of the important contributions of Nikola Tesla.

The All-New 2011 VW Jetta: Modernized to Meet Today’s Standards

The Jetta is Volkswagen’s version of the compact family sedan. It started off the production line in 1980 and has been growing and growing ever since to compete with more modern rivals like the Honda Civic. Recently, Volkswagen has announced the new 2011 Jetta which, at first glance, looks like a very exciting car that raises some questions. “Is it as exciting as it sounds?” and “What new features make it exciting?” Well, here are some of them.

1. Styling-The styling of the new Jetta definitely looks more modern and gives it a fresh new look. Volkswagen gave the Jetta a completely new outfit using a styling language similar to the styling language on the mkVI GTIs and Golfs. Compared to the 2010 Jetta, the new one has a completely different look, making it a bit more understated and mature.

2. interiors-The entire interior of the new Jetta looks similar to its predecessor, but with minor tweaks added here and there. There are a few more inches of legroom for rear seat passengers due to the car’s elongation, allowing them to have a more comfortable ride. Volkswagen has also designed the navigation system to be slightly smaller and shaped the gear lever into a more comfortable shape for the driver. In general, the interior of the car has a feeling of high-quality material and has much more space.

3. Price-The best thing about the 2011 Jetta is its value for money. There are three models with the entry level being the S model, followed by the SE model and finally the SEL model. The entry level is priced at around $15,995, which is considerably less expensive than the 2010 Model S priced at around $20,995. The SEL model, with all available options, starts at $24,865 and includes leatherette-trimmed seats, a navigation system, and a 2.5-liter I5 engine that makes about 170 hp.

Overall, I think the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta has definitely been updated and modernized to fit today’s standards. It is a very good value for money that will give it an edge over its competition and offers a lot of fun, comfort and convenience to its owner whenever they need to get from point A to B.
