Before ending your addiction, you need to understand the following:

  • You have the power to say “Yes” or “No” to your addictions.
  • Your problem is only temporary, if you let it

Hear! If you don’t know anything about weeds, then understand that if you don’t uproot them, they will grow back! As long as the roots of any plant are intact, you will see them again. Those roots are still active, waiting for the perfect season to sprout again overnight! You control weeds by pulling them out of the roots so they don’t grow back there. And you kill your addiction by stopping it in its tracks. But only temporarily.

Now why am I saying to hold him for 21 days? Well, even though you need to stop your PERIOD of addictions, that thought of “forever” could be overwhelming and you will revert to your old ways. But, if you could stop it for a brief moment, it gives you hope that maybe you can go back to your addictions again. However, when the 21 days are up, you won’t want to go back to your old ways. When I tell you to just stop for 21 days, that gives you a goal to work towards and a plan to work with. During those 21 days, you will do your best to stay away from your addictions, so that when the 21 days are over, you will feel so liberated from your addictions that you won’t want to go back. Having a life free of addictions is better than a life in which you are chained. You don’t want to live life in chains now, do you?

But you might be thinking, “Easier said than done, man! You don’t know what I went through!”

Yes! All addictions work the same way: you feel a strong desire and you give up. Period. And what makes it an addiction is that you ALWAYS give in to these cravings, even to the point where you’re making adjustments to your schedule just to give in to these cravings. But what I’m telling you is if you take the attitude of “easier said than done”, guess what? You will NEVER lose your addiction. But if your attitude is that your addiction needs to “Quit”, then you WILL CONQUER your addiction. I don’t care what you are addicted to, all addictions work the same way. And you could kill those addictions in the same way: DEATH OF HUNGER.

No more nicotine patches? Don’t smoke “lighter cigarettes” or drink “hard stuff” less. DEATH OF HUNGER to your addiction. Attack him! Be aggressive! Act like you are fighting for your life. Because just weaning you gives temporary relief, but the roots are still there. If you pluck a weed from the stem without taking root, you simply don’t see the weed anymore. First, you must cook your pasta in plenty of water. Most Americans don’t get enough of it. Calculate at least one liter of water for every quarter pound of pasta, or four quarts per pound (the weight of a typical packet of spaghetti). All I can say is use a large pot with lots of water! This is important because you want the water to return to a boil as quickly as possible after adding the pasta; otherwise it takes forever to cook and time can become a problem.

Copious amounts of water also give the pasta enough room to move and cook evenly. Plenty of water also prevents the separate pieces from sticking together. You also need a lot of water because the pasta will double in size when absorbed as it cooks. Now for the salt. Do not add it until the water has started to boil. They say that if you add it before then, it could chop your cookware before it dissolves. How much salt should you use? I like what Sophia Loren says in one of her cookbooks. Use a “big pinch”. Too little leaves the pasta mushy, but too much will overpower it.

Usually I pour a little in my hand and pinch a little. You can always adjust it if it is not correct. After a while, you will know. You will be like an Italian cook, who follows instinct. How do you know when the pasta is ready? You can follow the instructions on the package, but those are only approximations. You really have to try it to be sure. That doesn’t sound so bad!

Whatever you do, don’t throw a piece against the wall to see if it sticks. That’s pasta abuse! And as funny as it may sound, that’s not the Italian way, because it’s not exact. If your paste sticks to the wall, you’re in trouble. It is exaggerated. This is what I do. I boil a very large pot of water. I add the pasta and a little salt, then swirl it in and set the timer according to the package directions. But I always check before the timer goes off. Looking to burn belly fat without exercising? Or, if you’re like me, looking for additional ways to burn belly fat beyond traditional exercise. Here are some great ways to boost your metabolism without using an exercise machine, lifting a dumbbell, or doing crunches.

1) walk

Walking has been widely documented as the best thing sedentary people can do to lose weight permanently. Every day find opportunities to walk more often. To the corner store, around the house or on the spot. It doesn’t really matter as long as you walk at least 30 minutes a day. Steadily increase your walking pace to 3.5 miles per hour.

2) get up

Standing burns 33% more calories than sitting. Make sure you are on your feet for a total of 3 hours a day to burn belly fat. The next time you find yourself sitting on the couch watching TV, stand up! For added effect, walk in place while watching TV.

A) Stand with your arms stretched out to your sides and your elbows closed. Press down hard on your palms and lift your fingers straight back quickly. Repeat 49 times. You should feel this in your forearms and triceps. Do this every day and your arms will be as steady as a wooden plank.

B) Stand with your arms at your sides. Imagine a fly at chin level on the edge of your reach. Energetically, fluidly, raise your arm with your left shoulder focusing on speed. Imagine catching the fly in your vertical fist and squeezing it as hard as you can. Hold it for a second. Now, raise your right arm and squeeze, then raise your left fist and squeeze hard. Repeat 49 times. This will firm your arms, chest, and shoulders and improve your coordination.

C) Stretch your arms to the front. Spread your legs wider than shoulder width apart and squat 1/4 of the way. Pause. Stay in this position as long as possible, aiming for 5 minutes to start. Keep your arms up. If only you can hold this for 30 seconds. No problem. Stand up, rest a moment and repeat until you reach 5 minutes. This will tone your legs like no other exercise.
