Tips for Writing Articles for Network Marketers

If you’re an online-oriented network marketer (or even an affiliate marketer), you’ll need to create great web content.

Instead of just focusing on creating content that helps you rank on Google (and being TOO obsessed with including your keywords in your content), create a balance by writing articles that people actually want to read. Now there is an idea!

The article may be well written, or it may be packed with relevant information… but what good are any of those attributes if our audience has to make an effort to read what we’re saying? Also, let’s be real. If they have to make an effort to commit, they’re going to “x” snap out of it faster than they can say “boring!” So you really have to ‘connect’ with the reader, on their level.

Here are some tips on how to animate your content so people will read it and share it with their friends.

Guess how long visitors look at a web page before deciding if it’s a gatekeeper or a blip on their radar? OVEN seconds. And then, after those four precious seconds are up, only about 28% of them stick around to give you a fair shake. I know.

You are wondering at this point if you can really improve those odds. You can. You just have to be willing to show your approach in GREAT writing. Because the world of online writing is very different from the literary masterpieces that some people create.

9 Steps to Creating Easy-to-Read Web Content

1) Page Layout: people tend to scan in an “F” shape. This means that your best and brightest content should be located in the “F” hot spots. Hot spots should be compelling lists, images, and headlines. Break your copy into small paragraphs, avoid long sentences when a shorter one will do the job. Use subheadings, images, and bullet points to create visual interest.

2) Columns: narrow columns are easier to scan than wide ones. Remember those old things called newspapers? Similar concept. However, he doesn’t get frustrated by things that he can’t control. With all the electronic devices out there, you won’t be able to format perfectly for all devices. If you’re using a WordPress blog like this, you won’t have to worry too much about this point, it’s already pre-formatted for you.

3) Images: Starting with an image at the top left of your page increases readability because the image decreases the width of the first paragraph. Remember the advice to stay tight?

4) Sources: the most readable pages have a title, a subheading, and a body. On average, red and blue are the most striking colors, the dullest fonts are the easiest to read, and are no smaller than 14 pt. the source is better for the eye.

5) Headlines: attention-grabbing headlines (enough to say).

6) Using a hook: write a compelling sentence and leave it alone. Stand-alone sentences grab attention and make readers stop to digest.

7) Messages: write posts that are between 250-500 words max if possible (I’m breaking my own rule here, but I know you need all of this information, so you’ll read to the end).

8) Copy: copy format in “chunks”. The copy that is divided is refreshing for the reader, as discussed above.

9) Keywords: Yes, you need to keep keywords in mind. Once you’ve identified your keywords, incorporate them into your article, but be careful because if you go too far, Google will penalize you.

Creating readable copy ensures that your great writing isn’t lost on your audience. And your great copy will keep people coming back to scan and then read some more.

And if you can’t write for shit, all the better. Some of the most successful online network marketers are definitely NOT literary geniuses, but they are good at identifying topics their audience wants to know about. They then write simple blog posts on the topic. Easy.

Not all network marketers are made for the world of online marketing. It is not as simple as traditional offline strategies and it is not duplicated either. But if you like to express yourself and are totally ‘over’ talking to friends, family and making cold calls, online strategies (including blogging and article marketing) are a nice way to build an online presence and generate leads. .
