Pizza and beer: perfect combination

Pizza has been around for literally thousands of years. It has evolved from the usual thin crust with traditional toppings to a thick crust and many unusual toppings. But no matter what shape and style you want your pizza to be, you know it’s best eaten with beer on the side.

Pizza and beer are two words that usually answer questions like “What are you having for Friday night?” or “What are we going to have during movie time?” It has been a tradition since the history of pizza itself, or around that time, and has been enjoyed by many people.

But what is it about pizza that makes it perfect for beer? For me, I think it’s the combination of the soft, chewy crust, the smell and taste of the herbs and spices, and the thick sauce, the overload of cheese, and of course my favorite choice of toppings, which is the pepperoni. The mere idea of all those goodness combined in one hearty dish is enough for pizza to be considered the best companion to any drink, for that matter.

For others, it is the comfort of the two that makes them perfect for each other. Pizza can be eaten with our mother’s hands and can be served as a snack, breakfast, lunch or dinner. It can also be enjoyed as is, without the need for a side dish, since everything you need is there (bread, meat, vegetables). However, if you want to have a side dish, nachos and chicken wings might be the perfect options. Beer can also be enjoyed on most occasions and can turn a boring night into a party.

Of course, you can enjoy pizza with other beverages, such as soda, punch, or fruit juice, but beer is the best combination. Decades of enjoying the two together have made them allies with “bread and butter” and “bacon and eggs.” You cannot fully enjoy one without the other.
