Cheerleaders in Professional Basketball: An Overview

Cheerleaders in professional basketball leagues like the NBA are very similar to those found in professional football leagues. Squads are usually made up of dance teams or cheerleaders and the focus is on supporting the team they are cheering on. Cheerleading squads on professional basketball teams, just like those on professional football teams, spend a lot of time in the field of public relations. Most of his time is spent promoting the basketball team itself and participating in the team’s fundraising efforts for various agencies.

Cheerleading is believed to have started in the 1800s and was primarily popular in the high school and college scenes until around 1960, when it made its debut on the professional sports field with the Baltimore Colts claiming the right to be the first NFL team in cheer. equipment. However, the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League are credited with making cheerleading teams what they are today and gained such popularity that professional basketball teams got on board as well.

The first NBA cheerleading team is believed to have appeared with the Indiana Pacers in the 1972-1973 season and the trend grew from there.

Just like in the NFL, cheerleaders often do other things and are not “airheads” as the stereotype makes them out to be. In fact, many have become quite famous in their own right. An example is Paula Abdul. She began her long career as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers and later became a renowned recording artist and most recently one of the judges on the world famous television show American Idol. It was recently confirmed that she will be starring in Simon Cowell’s new show “X-Factor,” which will premiere in the US in the summer and fall months when American Idol is not on the air.

However, it is not the only one that achieved even greater fame. Next, we find out that Bonnie Jill-Laflin was not only a cheerleader for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, but she was also on the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad for a period of time. She went above and beyond by making guest appearances on shows like Ally McBeal and Baywatch, among other things, before recently settling into her new job as a scout for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Los Angeles Clippers cheerleader Eve Torres is currently a WWE diva on the RAW brand. She is a former professional wrestler herself and also works as a model and actress.

It’s not that hard to become a cheerleader for a professional basketball team or to be part of one of the dance teams. The most important things they look for are women who are physically fit and in good shape. The interested candidate must also be able to dance and learn new dances and moves as directed by the team choreographer. There is a lot of hard work involved and although the pay is not that great, many of the cheerleaders use this to catapult their careers into other areas.

5 creative ways to make sports in a scrapbook

Are you a mom (insert sport of your choice here)?

If so, you probably have tons of photos of your child(ren) waiting to be discarded. Or maybe you’ve been faithfully attending games/events for so long that you know you’re not carrying your camera anymore. Either way, here are some ideas for you to dispose of those sports memorabilia.

The first thing we tend to think about when it comes to scrapbooking sports is action shots. You want to capture the swing of the bat that caused the game-winning home run. Or the “shot score!” A word of caution for new moms, the first score/shot/completion/etc. priceless. You don’t want to miss it because you were waiting behind a camera lens. You don’t know how long you are going to wait, a game, a season, several seasons.

Most likely once the first has happened; you will have a new confidence to sprout many more to come! Be sure to capture other action shots along the way: dribbling, running, kicking, swimming, you name it. It just captures the “essence” of the sport. There are a lot of things leading up to the last shot/moment, so make sure you capture those things as well.

Second, create a design based on the determination and practice it takes to get into the game. Often more hours are spent on preparation and practice than on the game or sport. Capture these moments by exercising, doing the same step over and over again. My niece is a cheerleader. One day she was practicing her back flips. Over and over again with her mother’s spots, until she was finally able to do it on her own! Imagine a page capturing the attempts and finally being able to do it. A lesson learned! This is a powerful thing for a child’s self-esteem. You can come back to this design whenever your child needs to make sure she can do it!

Then capture the excitement of the sport. There are many emotions involved: happy moments, low moments, a moment of sheer determination, frustration, and a myriad of other emotions. Forget the body shot, zoom in on your face and capture your emotion. Ask them afterwards what they were thinking and feeling and include it in your journal.

Get inspired by the sports page of your local newspaper. Or better yet, if your team showed up, cut it out, spray it with file-safe spray, and include it in your design. Use newspaper headlines as titles for your page. “Warriors beat Panthers, 3-1” or “Hawks soar to new heights.” Okay, these are off the top of my head, but I hope you get the idea.

Finally, ask your child why he plays this sport. His answer might surprise you. Whatever your answer, play. If they answered “competitiveness,” find (or take) a photo of them actually fighting for the ball.

Or if they said, “style or elegance,” capture a beautiful cape. Use these single words as titles and include the definition as embellishment.

Scrapbooking sports is more than “official” team photos and posed shots. Get in the game, be creative! Capture some action, dedication, excitement and the whys. What are you going to capture next?

Kirby Super Star – The Land of Dreams is under siege again!

Dream Land is once again under siege! Our hero, Kirby, returns to instigate a rescue. King Dedede is snatching up Dream Land’s food supply, but he’s not the only one! Dyna Blade, Meta Knight and many other bad guys are on the loose and wreaking havoc across the country.

Use any of Kirby’s awesome powers to create a “helper” to aid you in battle. Or have a friend join you in some two-player action by taking control of Kirby’s sidekick. Help Kirby work through EIGHT challenging games full of action and adventure. Enter the fray in Spring Breeze, enter a foot race against King Dedede in Gourmet Race, and take on a winged warrior in Dyna Blade.

Adjust your reaction abilities on Megaton Punch and Samurai Kirby, then blast your way through Great Cave Offensive, Revenge of Meta Knight, and Milky Way Wishes. Every game is different AND some extra special surprises are waiting for you!

The game:
It’s the classic Kirby game and more in 8 great games! The gameplay is both fun and challenging at times. Everyone will enjoy controlling Kirby in Dreamland and beyond. You make your way by swallowing Kirby’s enemies and then using them as projectiles or you can steal their powers if the enemy you swallowed has one. There are a lot of enemies with powers, so you won’t always have the same powers over and over again.

The powers you get also do more than one thing, for example: if you get the lightning ability, you can shoot the lightning regularly, charge it up for a powerful blast, grab an enemy and shoot them and have these blue dots come out of the wand hurting to enemies. When you have a power, you can also create a helper based on the power you have. The companion will help you on your quest and can be controlled by AI or a friend of yours can control it instead.

You can also find power-ups and tap on them to get them in some places instead of absorbing and swallowing enemies. Kirby can fly, if you didn’t know that and if you want you can fly over things. When you’re underwater, you can use certain powers, but otherwise you have a special underwater attack.

The levels are fun and the enemies are well thought out. The bosses are great, they range from easy to very hard and provide a good challenge and fun at the same time. When Kirby stops flying, he spits out a cloud of dust, which is capable of hurting enemies. Kirby can also dash when he runs to hurt enemies.

Here’s a rundown of the Kirby Superstar games shown in the instruction booklet…

Spring Breeze – King DeDeDe has stolen all the food in Dreamland and once again it’s up to Kirby to stop him. Spring Breeze is a simple yet fun way to introduce new players to the world of Kirby. Using the classic Kirby formula of swallowing enemies and stealing their powers you make your way through the 4 stages you must clear. Each contains a boss that you must fight. It’s not a challenge for most players, but it’s a great way to sit back and have some fun with classic Kirby.

Dyna Blade – A giant bird called the Dyna Blade is terrorizing the land and guess who is ready to stop it? Yes, that’s right, Kirby is! Offering more levels, which will challenge players more than Spring Breeze, Dyna Blade is a much larger Kirby game contained in Kirby Superstar. There are also some secrets, which I’ll let you find out on your own.

Gourmet Race: After climbing a very high mountain to get the valuable food at the top, Kirby discovers that King DeDeDe is also on the mountain and intends to take all the food. Kirby and King DeDeDe decide to have a race collecting food to see who gets to keep everything. Basically, you race King DeDeDe all the way through the stages and pick up the food while you’re at it. You can also play against the clock to try to beat your best times.

Big Cave Offensive: While on a picnic, Kirby falls into a hole and discovers a gigantic cave rumored to hold millions of dollars worth of treasure. Kirby must go through the cave and collect all the treasure. Well, you don’t have to collect everything, but if you want 100% in your game file, you have to collect everything. The Great Cave Offensive poses a challenge for even the most skilled players because some treasures can be quite difficult to find and acquire.

Return of MetaKnight – The evil MetaKnight and his crew have set out to conquer the land of dreams with their gigantic flying ship. Naturally, Kirby jumps onto the warp star and heads into action. Revenge of MetaKnight can be quite a challenge for people and it has a great story. It also uses the classic Kirby formula but many surprises and challenges await you.

Milky Way Wishes: The sun and moon are fighting, causing the days and nights in Dreamland to blend together. Guide Kirby through many different planets in an attempt to get things back to normal. Instead of the classic swallow and copy powers, Milky Way Wishes is different. You find the powers and then you have permanently acquired them. You can then switch between different powers anytime you want and this concept puts a fun new spin on Kirby action. Milky Way Wishes is extremely fun and quite difficult at times as well.

Megaton Punch – This minigame is quite entertaining but also quite easy. You can play with 1 or 2 players and select a level for yourself. You first set Kirby’s power meter by pressing any button when the power meter is full, then you press any button again when the two cursors flying around exactly meet to form one, and finally you press any button when the swinging pendulum is inside the ring. . Now you have your score and if it is higher than your opponents, you win. It’s that easy.

Samurai Kirby – Like the other minigames, you select the number of players and the level of difficulty in Samurai Kirby. This game is a reflex test and requires you to press any button as soon as you see “!”. Whoever presses it first wins. Don’t press any buttons too early because you will be disqualified if you do it too fast. Samurai Kirby offers many challenges and fun.

Graphics:
Kirby, one of the best on a SNES, has never looked better before. Most of the enemies look very nice and well detailed. The food you use to restore Kirby’s health is also very good. The backgrounds are simply amazing and show off the fascinating world of Dreamland well. All on-screen movements look great; Kirby’s and enemies. The small cut scenes are almost perfect and very well detailed. Kirby Superstar is one of the best games in terms of graphics on SNES.

Sound quality:
Everybody loves to listen to Kirby’s music, right? It’s easy on the ears and flows well with the game. Some stages may have mediocre music, but most are simply the best. The sounds are also great and match the actions cleanly and almost perfectly. If you hit something with a certain amount of force, the sound you imagine will be heard will be heard. When you become invincible you get some great fast paced music and who could forget Kirby’s dance music. Everyone loves Kirby’s dance, or so I think.

Game controls:

Kirby Superstar’s controls are really good and easy to learn. You use the D-Pad to move Kirby and you can double-tap the D-Pad left or right to run. You can also press the D-Pad up to enter a door and press down to make Kirby sit or crouch. While pressing down and B at the same time, the star warrior will slide. Pressing the B button will make Kirby jump while continuously pressing it will make Kirby fly.

Your flight time is infinite so don’t worry about falling down. The Y button is probably the most important in the entire game, as it causes Kirby to swallow enemies, which you can then spit at other enemies or use to acquire an ability. The Y button can also be used to shoot air bullets while flying and use the water gun underwater. When you have a power, you can use the A button to create a helper, and if you don’t have a power, you can use the A button to get rid of the helper.

The L and R buttons make Kirby take cover from most enemies and obstacles, but not all. Start pauses the game and if you want to reset it you just have to press the Start, Select, L and R buttons simultaneously. You can also use the A button to teleport to Kirby or self-destruct if you’re the helper and can’t get too far away from Kirby, but this isn’t a big deal.

The replay value:

With eight games in one plus mini-games, you’ll be playing Kirby Superstar for a long time. Collecting all the treasure in Great Cave Offensive and all the power-ups in Milky Way Wishes will take a while. If you have a second player as a helper, you will play these games over and over again just for the fun of the multiplayer feature.

Final Thoughts:
That’s Kirby Super Star in a nutshell. I highly recommend this game to anyone who owns a SNES, and I’m really disappointed that we never saw a GBA port or anything like that, but hey. They took what was great about the first Kirby game, added a few more mini-games, dedicated themselves to finding all the secrets to get the real ending, and made it two player. What more could you want?

Even with the release of Kirby Crystal Shards for the N64, I still think this is the best of the Kirby games. This one did everything perfectly, however, the first one was even more innovative. If anyone ever gets a chance, they should definitely try this game out, surely they won’t regret it!

The employee with a chip on his shoulder harms the entire company

Every once in a while you come across a person who has an entitlement attitude. They feel that they are smitten with an unusual ability that far surpasses the rest of God’s creatures and that the people they are forced to deal with are just servant mothers who should tend to them. If this sounds familiar to you, you are not alone.

I visited a new client this week and he was used to dealing with our president so talking to me seemed to be lower than low. He cut me off in the conversation several times and he would tell me that he was making assumptions that were not correct. He was condescending and arrogant and I was left wondering how his attitude wasn’t going to earn me any bonus points!

My tactic was to slow down and listen to their opinions with as much intensity and understanding as I could muster. But even before that, I apologized for telling him that some of the information I needed to gather from him was administrative in nature and anyone could give it to me. That’s when the hairs on the back of his neck must have stood up because he came up to me and said, “And you think I’m an administrative person?” I quickly apologized and said, “No, of course not! I’m just saying that some of the information I need is not complicated and anyone can give it to me.” It was that statement that he judged me on in the future, and from that point on, he was incredibly difficult to deal with as a person. He obviously viewed life from a place where he felt judged, so he treated me like I was judging him. He wasn’t, he was simply asking her for help.

Each of us has had momentary encounters with other human beings who just aren’t that great. We have all been in a place where we are not in the best situation and our attitude is not the best. Maybe we didn’t drink our Noni juice or Stress B Gone juice that morning, and we’re not the “happiest and luckiest” person at all times of the day. Or maybe we’re just stressed out and too busy to stop and be nice to everyone we meet. Unfortunately, when we have about 3-10 seconds to make a first impression and the impression is not good, then we have to make up for it by spending about 2 ½ positive hours to win that person back.

This individual who spoke to me is a client. That means he deserves my respect and courtesy. But that does NOT mean that he can run over me and hit me on the ground. I gave him the first round and he was kind and promised to give him a wonderful service. But at this point, I see what kind of “stellar” human being he is and he’s not that pretty. He’s the guy who can’t just do a job, regardless of what his title is. He is caught up in his own impression of himself that he is too important to pitch in and help where help is needed. This kind of attitude is detrimental to his company. He is likely to lose a good provider because of his condescending attitude and certainly because of any advantages he might have had from having a great relationship. It is also unlikely that he will receive price discounts, if any, or that he will receive upgrades that we could offer to our valued customers.

People with concerns should know that people are watching how you treat your suppliers. People watch how you treat people who provide services and whether or not you treat others with respect. People watch you at work and can tell if you’re a hard worker or just getting by on as little money as possible. If you’re lazy, talk too much on the phone, spend too much time on the Internet or in emails, or if you don’t step in when work needs to be done, you’re not going to get much respect, and you’re not going to be well-liked by your co-workers. work even though they act like your friends. Trust me, they are talking behind your back and plotting your demise. You will also lose business, which translates to money, which can translate to freedom. And hopefully, you’ll lose your job and continue to do so until you wake up and learn what makes a good employee.

I want our company to be known for its incredible service. I want to have a product that is second to none and I want our customers to be raving fans. It takes a lot of work, long hours, and some personal sacrifice, but I’m excited to be part of a team that cares enough to make our company great. One day I will have enough clients who want to work with us that I won’t HAVE to accept everyone who comes. And that’s when I’ll be able to tell those customers who don’t fit our profile that they’d be better served by someone else.

Until that day, I will suck it up, be nice, and focus on the many clients I have who are lovely and respectful and get me out of bed in the morning. Those people are great and they make my job fun.

And in the meantime, to all of you “Mr. and Mrs. Chips on your Shoulder”…get off your high horse, cultivate a good attitude, and work hard. You are in the path of many productive and excellent people who want to do a good job and serve the company. You are a liability to your employer and to many people around you.

You can make changes by deciding to work hard when no one is looking. You can decide to make each day count and you can decide that you want to serve others to improve their lives. You can decide to think of others instead of just yourself, and you can decide to sacrifice your bad attitude for the benefit of the company as a whole. If you do this, you will quickly become a valued member of the team and we will welcome you back with open arms.

Please, Mr. Chip, you can make the changes. Decide right now that you are making a change. Every day will be better and better until you realize that you have changed. And that’s when he has become a valued member of his company, his industry, and our world.

The Greatest Players in NHL Hockey History

Who are the greats and why are they so great? A lot of people might crucify you for asking that question, but really, it’s not a bad question if you’re not familiar with hockey. So let’s start with who some of the greatest hockey players of all time are.

1. Wayne Gretzky
2. Gordie Howe
3.Bobby Orr
4.bobby helmet
5. Jean Beliveau
6.Guy Lafleur
7. Doug Harvey
8. Sidney Crosby
9. Stan Mikita
10. Martin Brodeur
11.Mark Messier

These are 11 of the best hockey players I can name in the blink of an eye. I think right now you can try to argue with one player on my roster, and that’s Crosby. Even if you were to argue that he shouldn’t be considered one of the greats, you’d just argue that for the time being. If he were to retire, he would become one of the greats without a doubt. It’s the same reason people hate Lebron James because he’s so good and you’re mad that he doesn’t play for your team.

Anyway, let’s get back to what makes these players the best hockey players ever. Many of these players have won multiple scoring championships more than a few times. Now that’s quite an achievement because it’s hard enough to do it once, but more than once and sometimes consecutively is something else. Scoring goals is what wins games and these players were always able to put the puck in the back of the net like a magic trick. All of these players have incredible hockey IQs, they were able to tell where people were going to be and what the puck was going to do. They were very “hockey smart”, it’s as if they had invented the game themselves and had been playing the sport years before it was introduced into society. The greats were all incredible playmakers who brought their teams together and were a dominant force. One of the greatest playmakers was Wayne Gretzky! If he ever saw him play, you couldn’t even try to argue with this fact. Many of these players were incredible skaters, fast and strong. Two of the fastest skaters were Bobby Orr and Bobby Hull. Bobby Hulls’s nickname is “Golden Jet” because he had blonde hair and was very fast. In addition to Bobby Orrs’ speed, he won the Norris Trophy eight years in a row. What is the Norris Trophy, you ask? It’s a trophy awarded to the defenseman who displayed the best overall ability at his position throughout the NHL.

These greatest players of all time are so good because not only are they amazing at the great sport of hockey, but they are incredibly consistent year after year being the best in the league. They have come from themselves season after season, player after game. If you ever want to learn anything about the game of hockey, take a page out of his book.

The 10 best QBs of all time in the NFL

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning… Peyton Manning and Tom Brady… in whatever order, are the biggest storylines of the 2008 NFL season… as they have been for quite some time.

In fact, in these two guys, we’re looking at the best pro quarterbacks of all time.

Their similarities are striking … they are both dominant, durable 6-foot-5 athletes with laser arms and the versatility to dig deep, hit the side route or find the wide receiver under pressure at the last millisecond. Both have led their teams to Super Bowls; their teams would be losers without them. Above all else, they’re actually quarterbacks… that means instead of being the coach’s robot as is the case with almost every other team today, they go to the line of scrimmage and call the play. What a concept!

I miss them 1a and 1b of all time. The rest of my top 10:

3–Steve Young. It may surprise some to see him so high, but he is considered the most powerful all-round threat at his position. With his speed of 4.5 and 205 pounds, his running ability matched that of many runners; he rushed for an incredible 537 yards in 1992. As a passer, he led the league in touchdown passes four times for the 49ers and was the passing leader four straight seasons. More than the stats, the long passes from him to Jerry Rice were beautiful … always perfectly calm.

4–Joe Montana. Four Super Bowl wins and three Super Bowl MVPs with San Francisco provide compelling evidence. He led the NFL in completion percentage five times and set a record with a 112.4 QB rating in 1989.

5–Johnny Unitas. From the late 1950s to the early 1970s, the Colts were ranked as one of the best teams in the NFL and Unitas was their unquestioned leader. He threw a TD pass in 47 straight games and finished his career leading the NFL in passes attempted (5,186), yards gained (40,239) and TD passes (290).

6–Terry Bradshaw. He may be silly as a TV commentator, but on the field he proved his greatness by leading Pittsburgh to four Super Bowl titles.

7 — John Elway. He will be remembered for leading the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl crowns…a rare and difficult feat…and leading them to 47 win-or-tie fourth-quarter drives…a defining player.

8 — Dan Marino. He used a strong arm and fast throw to set many NFL records for the Dolphins, including most attempts, most completions, most yards, and most TDs.

9–Otto Graham. He led the Browns to three titles, throwing four touchdown passes in the 1950 game, three in 1954 and two in 1955.

10–Sammy Baugh. Well, we go back a long way, but Baugh was the first great QB in the NFL. He threw 187 touchdown passes for the Redskins and as a two-way player he amassed 31 career interceptions for him and averaged 45.1 yards as a kicker. Does that make him a three-way player?

Among today’s quarterbacks, perhaps Ben Roethlisberger could join this list one day … he’s dominating when he’s on. Coming out of college, it seemed like Vince Young could too…but no way yet. Joe Namath (insults narrowed it down), Roger Staubach (started late), Sonny Jurgenson (what a passer), and Bart Starr (what a leader) are our honorable mentions.

Satellite radio is everywhere

Driving down the Ventura Freeway with the wind blowing through my hair and the radio blaring. It was just like old times… the only difference was the sounds coming from my radio.

Instead of a rock band playing at high volume, I was listening to the latest headlines from a 24-hour cable news station broadcast on satellite radio. It seems that no matter how hard I try to get away from the 24-hour news cycle, I can’t escape. Although I know I’m not alone. Cable news outlets not only have a huge impact on the minds of their television viewers, but also on the minds of millions of people each week who listen to satellite radio in their cars and mobile devices. It makes it so easy to take my habit of being a news junkie to a new level.

Everywhere I go, someone seems to be listening to satellite radio. Even in stores.

Now that people can listen to their favorite stations on a cell phone, all it takes is an audio jack to connect a device to a complete sound system. Soon that person will fade to the sounds of MSNBC, CNN, or Fox News. Though the sounds that come from most of these outlets can hardly be called “swoon-able.”

Is it a good thing that we have access to the 24-hour cable news cycle pretty much everywhere we go today? On dire situations or breaking news days, yes it is… But let’s be honest… There are more times when nothing happens compared to times that require my direct attention. Why am I doing cable news on satellite radio all the time?

My family often wonders the same thing. Now when we get in the car for a family road trip, it’s no longer “Let’s listen to music” but let’s hear the same 5 stories over and over again on a new station. When we get tired of that station’s posture on those five floors, we can switch to another station to hear the reframed version of the exact same events on another. It is a vicious circle that never seems to end.

I miss the days of sitting down and using the radio as an escape from the world. Now it seems like satellite radio is bringing everything I’m trying to escape, right at me.

4 Most Valuable Topps NHL Rookie Cards from 1957-58

The four most valuable rookie cards in the 1957-58 Topps hockey card set feature players entering their third year in the National Hockey League. Because it was Topps’ first set since 1954-55 and Parkhurst was also lacking a set in 1956-57, several players were represented on cardboard for the first time.

The 1957-58 Topps game consists of 66 hockey cards featuring players from the Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, and New York Rangers. Gordie Howe and Glenn Hall are at the forefront of the most valuable cards in the set. As with most sports cards, the 1957-58 Topps series celebrates the achievements of the previous year.

Glenn Hall-Chicago Blackhawks

Card number 20 belongs to Glenn Hall, goalie for the Chicago Blackhawks. The card is not only the highest value rookie card at $400, but it is one of the most valuable in the set. In fact, Hall played two games for the Detroit Red Wings in 1954-55 before playing all 70 for the Red Wings in 1955-56 and 1956-57. In 1956-57, he posted an average of 2.23 goals while recording four shutouts.

1957-58 was Glenn’s first year with Chicago and he is shown on the billboard as a member of the Blackhawks. Hall went on to play in the NHL until the end of the 1970-71 season. Along with the Red Wings and Blackhawks, Glenn also played for the St. Louis Blues. Glenn Hall was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975.

Johnny Bucyk – Boston Bruins

Card number 10 is Johnny Bucyk’s rookie card and has a book value of $250. Like Glenn Hall, Bucyk played for the Detroit Red Wings in 1955-56 and 1956-57, with 1957-58 being his first year with the Boston Bruins. In 1956-57, Johnny scored ten goals and assisted eleven for 21 points in 66 games.

In that first year with Boston, the Bruins went straight to the Stanley Cup Finals before falling to the dynastic Montreal Canadiens. Bucyk played in the National Hockey League through the 1977-78 season, all with Boston. John Bucyk was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1981.

Norma Ullman – Detroit Red Wings

Card number 46 in the 1957-58 Topps set belongs to Norm Ullman and has a book value of $250. Like the two previous players, Ullman played for the Detroit Red Wings in 1955-56 and 1956-57. Unlike the other two, Norm remained with the Red Wings until a trade sent him to the Toronto Maple Leafs midway through the 1967-68 season.

In 1956-57, Ullman scored 16 and assisted on 36 for 52 points in 64 games. He was third in team scoring behind Gordie Howe and Ted Lindsay. His 36 assists tied Norm for eighth in the NHL with Henri Richard of the Montreal Canadiens. His 52 points put him 10th in the race for the Art Ross Trophy.

Norm played in the National Hockey League until the end of the 1974-75 season, appearing only with Toronto and Detroit. He spent another two years in the WHA with the Edmonton Oilers in 1975-76 and 1976-77. Norm Ullman was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1982.

Pierre Pilote – Chicago Blackhawks

Pilot’s 22nd rookie card has a book value of $100. Pierre played in 20 games for the Blackhawks in 1955-56 and played the full 70-game schedule in 1956-57. In that 1956-57 season, the defenseman scored three and assisted on 14 for 17 points over the last-place Blackhawks. His 117 penalty minutes placed him fourth in the NHL.

Pierre played with Chicago from 1955-56 to 1967-68 before playing one final season in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1968-69. Driver won three consecutive Norris Trophies from 1962-63 to 1964-65 as the best defenseman in the NHL. Pierre Pilote was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975.

Second-hand addiction: what exactly do you mean?

Today I went to pick up my three children at their father’s house. It was Super Bowl Sunday, 10 minutes before the game, and I was picking up my kids early because Dave, a late-stage chronic alcoholic, was drunk again.

His father was not in his right mind and was not happy about the early termination of his Super Bowl party. He swore at me several times in his loudest voice, he yelled at me to get out of his house and hovered over me, threatening to hit me. I am clearly a second-hand addict, an innocent person drastically affected by someone else’s addiction.

Dave’s mother was there, a quiet, refined woman from class. She soon found herself begging her 44-year-old son to let her grandson go and stop insulting her former daughter-in-law. Clearly, this peaceful soul is a secondhand addict, an innocent person drastically affected by someone else’s addiction.

My children were 14, 12 and 10 years old. They heard the threats and verbal attacks. My middle son was being forcibly held in his father’s lap. How would this and similar events imprint on his growing brains? How would it affect their lives as adults? How would the constant onslaught of such negative role models affect your upbringing? So also, how would this parenting affect their children one day? Clearly, these three, and all of their children to come, are secondhand addicts: innocent people drastically affected by someone else’s addiction.

Leaving the house, I called my ex-brother-in-law. I was afraid that when I left, Dave would turn his uncontrollable rage on his 80-year-old mother. Now my brother and sister-in-law were missing the super bowl to take care of his mom. They don’t like his brother very much these days. You can’t blame them, but it eats away at their souls. Clearly, they and their brothers and sisters are all secondhand addicts, innocent people drastically affected by someone else’s drinking.

Dave doesn’t have a job these days, having lost his when he couldn’t function to do his job anymore. So now we can add his abandoned boss to the list of second-hand addicts, not as drastically affected, but affected nonetheless.

Now we can move away from Dave and multiply all of these 20 or so people by the millions of addicts in the world to account for all of his family, employers, and close friends.

Can we begin to get an idea of how many second-hand addicts there are in the world?

But wait, our list is not over yet. Now we need to add all the people who have been killed by a drunk driver. And we need to add all of your grieving family and friends. So the list gets longer. And we must add all the people who have ever been mugged, physically assaulted, or even killed by someone who was high or needed money to get high. And we must add the family and friends who sat outside the Intensive Care Unit as they waited to see if their injured loved ones survived. They are second-hand addicts, people drastically affected by someone else’s addiction.

And they don’t even know it.

And the list gets longer.

But our list is not over yet. Many of our addicted citizens find themselves homeless at some point. Therefore, we must add to our list of second-hand addicts all the people who work the daunting task of helping them. And while we’re at it, we need to add the people who work the desperate task of trying to find jobs for addicted people, only to see their efforts fail time and time again. Everyone is severely affected by someone else’s addiction.

And we need to add the people who pay for all these services, as well as those who pay for the jails full of addicted people. We need to add you as a contributor to our list. Because you’re a secondhand addict, and you don’t even know it.

This blog is designed to help those whose lives are drastically affected by someone else’s addiction. And it is designed to send the message to each of us that we are all greatly affected by the addicted people who live among us, whether we know it or not.

And I’m not sure exactly what we’ll do once we figure this out. The answer is certainly not to shame and blame addicted people, which will only make the problem worse.

But I know this…

To change something, you must first see it.

So I’m here, along with my blog posts, to help you see the problem.

So I invite you to continue reading.

Kochi, formerly known as Cochin, is the commercial capital of the state of Kerala. It is considered to be the second largest city on the western coast of India. Kochi is very popular as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’ and is located in the center of Kerala. This city is located on a group of islands in the midst of beautiful landscapes and exotic beaches. It offers a perfect combination of the beauty of nature with its beaches and backwaters; rich history with its palaces, fortresses and old churches and a metropolitan atmosphere with its imposing buildings, luxury homes and business centers. The city of the beach, Kochi is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

Cochin offers all the world-class facilities of a great city of convenience, from attractive residential and commercial settings to fast banking and medical services, high-end hotels, educational and dining facilities. In fact, it is the most advanced city in India with a 100% literate, highly skilled and productive workforce. Starting to rank among the important IT hubs, the Kochi real estate market is experiencing a boom in its real estate sector.

The urbanized culture of the city is another critical factor in taking its real estate market to new heights. Cochin’s strategic location in the transnational trade corridor also makes it a favorable element to boost its real estate market. In addition to the culture and location, the excellent communication network and the easy availability of efficient employees are other important advantages for the city. In addition, many infrastructure developments are taking place throughout the region, such as the Metro Rail project, the new bus terminal, the LNG terminal, the port special economic zones, the improvement of the city’s traffic system and various others.

Kochi’s residential sector is developing exponentially due to high demands from NRIs and real estate investors. Nearly 2 million NRIs living abroad are making huge investments in Cochin’s residential spaces furthering the trend of luxury and luxury apartments. Gone are the days when people spent a lifetime in an old house without wanting to leave it. Today’s generation wants to buy the most luxurious and comfortable spaces that clearly reflect their class and style. Building luxury apartments offering a splendid choice of homes with a variety of amenities is the new agenda for property developers in Cochin. The high standards of living and the corresponding demand for luxury properties in Kochi are possible due to several reasons:

– Increased disposable income of the middle class.
– Affordable properties available quite easily.
– Housing for migrants who work with various companies in the city.
– The ongoing expansion of Indian corporations, multinationals and IT parks.
– Long-term investments of NRIs in real estate projects.
– Reactivation of the market much earlier than expected.

Kerala’s port city, Cochin, has been ranked as the second potential city for investment in the IT sector by NASSCOM. The gigantic ‘Smart City’ project proposed by Dubai Internet City (DIC) will bring an investment of Rs 1,500 crore.

The administration is also moving ahead to provide basic infrastructure facilities such as power, international broadband and urban transportation to investors. Real estate market experts and analysts expect a capital appreciation of around 12-15% in the coming years. DLF City, Sahara Builders, Great India Estates, Skyline Foundation, Puravankara Projects, Sobha Developers, Prestige Group, Emaar-MGF, Brigade Group Anzera Properties, etc. are some of the construction companies that have established their projects in the city.

Despite the recession, real estate is still the safest form of investment, especially in Kochi.
