Mini Cooper S: a great road racer

The Mini Cooper S is a creatively designed car to become a modern artist with a British made engine for a 6 speed manual power transmission. This model comes with a turbo version and an optional sports suspension. The standard mounted front and rear suspensions have been newly designed to meet drivetrain criteria. It can be driven with the option of manual or automatic transmission (sport), the option change is very easy and smooth. Additionally, security features have been incorporated into current levels of demand. There is reason enough to go around the distances with easy-to-turn and negotiate circles, even on tight swaths. It makes you good at driving a car, not a low-key driver.

The style signature flows into the design that completely differentiates the Mini Cooper S from traditional looks. The triangular shape of the taillight section is provided with a chrome frame that also houses the reverse signal, brake lights and turn indicators. The door handles have a chrome finish, a design specific to all Mini models but looking too attractive. The front is adorned by a chrome rimmed hexagonal mash grill. The choice of color for this model is applied to the standard contrast of the silver-white or black roof. Body colors are shimmering silver metallic, pure silver metallic, astro metallic black, solid soft yellow, solid chili red and metallic laser blue. The luggage space in your Mini Cooper S can be increased by providing split folding rear seats. The sunroof has glass panels.

The interior of this car is spacious, which is not an impression obtained from its external appearance. Only some may feel pressured to get headroom after sitting down, but, for most people, this doesn’t seem to be a cause for concern at all. It has a glowing control panel with a speedometer-like dial positioned in the middle of the dash along with two accompanying dials positioned on both sides, for a balanced look. This is not just a speedometer, but a multimeter that has audio monitoring along with the fuel position reading. The inside of the steering wheel houses the gear change command.

This turbocharged version of the Mini speaks of very fast acceleration and overtaking in critical situations. One very fast to overtake that another does not even guess what is going to happen, which avoids accidents in most cases. The engine is 1.66 liters, 4 cylinders, 216 V and 175 hp for a top speed of 140 mph. It is a full-suction engine with variable valve timing, which promotes fuel efficiency and low emissions. The safety features of the model are strongly composed of Automatic Stability + Traction Control (ASC + T), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EDB) and Brake Assist; and Curve Brake Control (CBC), anti-lock braking system. The safety feature also applies to the protection of passengers in unavoidable situations, as the Mini is made for very good anti-twist stiffness, side impact protectors and six airbags. The child seat is secured by ISOFIX child seat in the rear seat. The advantage of maximum stability is obtained from the low ground clearance.

[Program Review]: Are New Car Prices Making You Stagger? Good news: here comes the relief

Of course, it can be understandably unbelievable to hear that a new car costs only $ 149, so most people will naturally see a headline offering “New Cars for only $ 149” as a misprint or a gimmick; But a revolutionary strategy is, right now, making it possible for people to drive off in new cars for as little as $ 149.

It is everyone’s dream to own a car, and while owning one may be viewed in some circles as a luxury, the need for easy and convenient mobility, particularly in times of emergency, has made having a car in every home something else. crucial. necessity, what a mere luxury. However, the relatively high cost of cars makes it essentially impossible for many people to buy new cars. It is not an exaggeration to say that the price of most new cars on the market today is simply enough to make most people stagger in despair. Often the only recourse available to them appears to be the financing option, which burdens clients with years of onerous obligations.

However, the Shopfreemart Cash N Cars offering is changing all that, by allowing people to own any car of their choice without paying more than $ 149.

With a one-time entry fee of $ 149, participants receive a personalized online web page valued at $ 149.00, plus a $ 149 cash and car gift token redeemable for valuable items such as discounts on travel, vacations, hotels and plus.

The program allows participants to get paid in 3 different ways while inviting others to be part of the revolutionary, life-changing offering. Members can use the extra cash to buy anything they want – so again because they’ve been wanting for a while, a boat, a house, or, as club owners say, even a private jet.

The program is easy and fairly straightforward, with a transparent process that ensures that each participant is aware of what is happening on their account.

In addition to giving members the opportunity to own new cars at an unprecedented price of $ 149, FreeMart also offers other great natural products designed to enhance members’ quality of life, including two amazing soap products and a wide range. . of health products to ensure car owners can drive and travel happily in their new vehicles.

The Cash N Cars club is certainly not the first program to hit the market.

raising new cars as coveted rewards. But to the best of this author’s knowledge, he is the only one in this bold and innovative strategy to empower members to drive off in brand new cars without paying more than $ 149 one-time.

Auto repair manuals

If you are a hobbyist auto mechanic who loves to dig into car engines until the wee hours of the morning while most people are under their blankets, it involves the spirit of “do it yourself” and you are not afraid. From staining your hands or if you are in an emergency situation, a very helpful resource is the availability of the proper auto repair manuals.

There are two types of auto repair manuals:

  • Downloadable online manuals
  • Printed manuals
  • Online manuals

The best thing about online manuals is that any manual you need for any brand of car is just a few mouse clicks away; you can download it from the internet in no time.

If time is an important factor for you, for example, if you are in a situation that requires immediate repair information and your knowledge about the specific problem is limited, the quickest and cheapest solution is to search for high-quality vehicle repair manuals. quality online.

Some of these manuals include not only repair information, but also up-to-date technical service information, and some of them even include approximate business hours. This is valuable information if you decide to take your car to a mechanic – you will know in advance how much you can expect to pay for the repair. Most of these websites charge a minimal fee for their service, but compared to what you’ll get, it’s well worth it.

Good vehicle repair manual sites also have up-to-date diagnostic and maintenance information. Their manuals are original service manuals written by the manufacturers and contain the original workshop repair descriptions. Therefore, many professional automotive technicians use quality downloadable manuals. .

Good manuals contain thousands of pages of diagrams and all the detailed information needed for specific vehicle and auto part repair.

    Printed manuals

I have chosen to briefly review three of the best printed auto repair manuals available on the market today. If you choose these over the online alternative, please allow some time for shipping and handling.

    Bentley

    • the goal is the experienced mechanic, and many experts consider it the best indisputable reference.
    • probably the most detailed auto repair book available
    • Unfortunately, Bentley focuses primarily on European models, not American models.

    Factory

    • Factory certified mechanics are the target of these service manuals and sadly, they are not hobbyists.
    • may require access to special tools available only to authorized mechanics.

    Chilton

    • Simple step-by-step procedures, easy-to-follow standard format, your target audience is the average backyard mechanic
    • focusing on basic maintenance and repairs
    • It contains a large number of sequential photographs and graphics to simplify maintenance and thus make work easy and fun.
    • New cars are treated with special care. However, older cars are grouped together and the instructions for these are a bit more generalized.

2010 DE and ES Mitsubishi Lancer models have 2.0-liter MIVEC engines

Mitsubishi is addressing fuel shortages with multiple engine options for the Lancer 2010. With an average of 22 to 31 miles per gallon, an increase of one gallon from 2009, the MIVEC (Mitsubishi Valve Timing Electronic Control) engine options for The 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer easily marry performance with green initiative.

Both the DE and ES Mitsubishi Lancer models feature all-aluminum 2.0-liter MIVEC engines with a choice of 152 or 142 horsepower, the latter only if the zero-emission vehicle version engine is selected. The zero partial emission vehicle standard in some states motivated Mitsubishi to build engines that not only offer Mitsubishi performance, but meet the standard, which is the highest rating available for non-hybrid vehicles. MIVEC engines with the zero partial emission vehicle standard provide an easy option to help the environment without losing engine power or manpower.

The Lancer GTS and RALLIART models offer engines that meet any demand for significant power improvements compared to the DE and ES models. The 2010 GTS model option features a 168-horsepower 2.4-liter MIVEC engine, while the Mitsubishi Lancer RALLIART features a powerful 237-horsepower intercooled MIVEC engine respectively. While impressive, these engine options are no different than previously available for the 2009 GTS or RALLIART models.

No matter the option, 2010 MIVEC engines for the Mitsubishi Lancer deliver power, durability, value and fuel efficiency. However, the DE, ES, GTS and RALLIART models are all essentially the same engine options from 2009.

Do people treat you differently depending on the car you drive?

The type of car you drive has a huge impact on how others perceive you. For example, I used to drive a cheap car from 1992 and the police would constantly stop me. However, now that I am driving a new Mercedes Benz, I have never been stopped. Not even once. My driving style hasn’t changed at all. Certain cars simply exude more respectability and status. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen luxury cars stopped before; it just hasn’t happened to me yet.

I have also noticed that most people are not very knowledgeable about cars in general and will automatically assume that you are rich because you are driving a luxury car. This is a complete fallacy since all luxury brands have entry-level vehicles that are very affordable and probably cost less than most SUVs. However, most people don’t think twice about someone SUV, but they will automatically assume that you are rich just because you drive a Mercedes. There is a big difference between a C-Class and an S-Class.

I read about a recent study that claimed that the type of car you drive does not lead to happiness because most people do not consciously think about what type of car they are driving all the time. Personally, I am constantly aware of the type of car I drive and never forget it. I always felt self-conscious driving a more modest car, but I feel so much better about myself now that I drive a luxury car. I am perhaps more self-aware than others, but I never forget it.

Let’s take a look at some common stereotypes. People who drive luxury cars are generally perceived as snobby and status conscious. SUV drivers are often considered adventurous, sporty, and fun-loving, while anyone who drives a minivan is often family-oriented. People who drive high-performance cars are generally considered aggressive and conceited.

Do you want a good car but don’t want to spend a ton? Why not consider a used car? Most people (if they are not a fan of cars) will not be able to distinguish between a new car and a used car that is only a few years old. Used cars also depreciate much less and many have been reconditioned to excellent condition. There are many options available, including used sedans, SUVs, used trucks, and coupes. Visit a used car dealer to find the best deals.

The only thing that matters is that you are happy with your own car. It doesn’t matter if you drive a Chevy, Kia, Chevrolet, Buick, Honda, or Ford.

Hyperloop: traversing cities in the blink of an eye

India is about to revolutionize the way we travel! Hyperloop is the new buzzword that has all Indians excited and teeming with anticipation.

For the uninitiated, it all started in the summer of 2013 with Elon Reeve Musk (Founder – SpaceX, CEO – Tesla & Neuralink, and President – SolarCity & OpenAl) writing a whitepaper where he conceptualized a disruptive transportation technology. He envisioned a capsule-like structure installed inside a vacuum steel tube, covering long distances at supersonic speeds (estimated at nearly 1,200 km / h) using a passive magnetic levitation system as the driving force. Musk explained that this mode of transportation would make daily commutes faster, safer, cheaper and more environmentally friendly.

Musk was magnanimous in inviting professionals to further develop his concept and take it to its finest. Two US-based companies jumped on the bandwagon: HyperloopOne and Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT). Both companies invited engineers from around the world to be part of the technology development and implementation process. Hyperloop One successfully completed a full-scale test in the Nevada desert on May 12, 2017. However, both companies are only technology providers and will require full support in terms of construction, infrastructure development, and maintenance.

India, with its ever-growing population, rapidly urbanizing and being one of the fastest growing economies on the planet, could be the perfect launch pad for the Hyperloop mass transit system. These companies have shown great interest in the development and implementation of the technology in India, although their approach has been very different. HTT submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Transport in December 2016 and is already in talks with five Indian states to raise funds and connect major Indian cities with a high-speed network. HyperloopOne, on the other hand, invited proposals from around the world asking the engineers to draw up an action plan to make the Hyperloop project feasible in their respective countries. The company is committed to collaborating with the winners on the proposed route and the assured technology transfer. However, the responsibility for government approvals, land acquisition, capital expenditures, and technological development will rest with the participants. Among the semi-finalists are five teams from India, who presented their proposals at the “Vision of India” event, which was honored by prominent dignitaries representing the Government of India.

Despite the avalanche of actions, none of the proposals have been actively initiated by the authorities concerned. Whether the Hyperloop system will soon become a reality or will remain a distant dream is something that only time can tell. However, Hyperloop technology has redefined the way we envision our future mass transit system. The road network of tomorrow, be it Hyperloop or Bullet Trains, will undoubtedly be coveted technologies that will make commuting faster, safer and safer.

    CME brakes

For more than twenty years, CME has been a dominant force in motorcycle brakes with a list of national and world championship winners using its brakes and other performance parts. CME users include United States Arena Cross Champion Buddy Antunez and World Champion Joel Smets. CME has also manufactured brake disc systems and brake pad sets for leading mountain bike system builders such as Cannondale, Hope Technology, Magura, Hayes, Avid, and Shimano.

Founded in 1978, CME Brakes Group became a pioneer in the market for motorcycle disc brake pads. Since then, CME Brakes has grown to become a global group with strengths in all areas of the brake industry. Having successfully dominated the motorcycle industry with majority market shares in most western markets, CME Brakes has developed a wide range of mountain brakes. bicycles, cars, race and rally cars, vans, trucks, buses, commercial vehicles and even mainline locomotives.

CME Brakes divides its brake disc system and brake pad sets into different categories, namely: Greenstuff, Yellowstuff, Redstuff, and Bluestuff.

“Greenstuff” is a high friction organic aramid based pad with a very low metal content that becomes strong from the first brake pedal application, with no disc damage and minimal brake dust. It is for fast and heavy use on the street, brakes well from cold and withstands even temperatures above 650 degrees Celsius. “Greenstuff” has a high initial braking effect and gives drivers confidence from the first brake pedal application. There is no such thing as a NO DUST pad. The very nature of how a brake works requires that some dust be generated to prevent rotor vibration (jitter). The EBC pad generates less dust and the dust washes away more easily than most. All pads create more dust as they settle, especially if the rotors are worn.

“Greenstuff” is used to replace high-friction brake pads, which are prone to front-to-rear brake imbalance. An example of the application of this technology is the 6000 Series 4×4 SUV / Light Truck brakes. An excellent solution for 4×4 use, this heavy-duty “Greenstuff” formula has slightly less friction than its counterparts, but has the benefit of longer life and better resistance to off-road dust and sand conditions. highway. It has an extremely low rotor wear factor and a medium to good service life.

“Yellowstuff” coded Yellowstuff 1793 is the name of the latest CME full race formula currently used in racing in Europe. Although it is a complete race material and capable of being used at high temperatures with very good wear life, this new formulation sets a new trend in race brake pad compounds. The “bite” of the cold is excellent, which is uncommon with racing materials (which normally require warm-up) and makes this pad safe to use on both the road and the race track. It has a nominal coefficient of friction of 0.46 with zero rotor damage and little dust. Since “Yellowstuff” was introduced in late 2003, it has received many positive reviews from high-performance drivers of faster cars like the Subaru Impreza WRX. It emits much less dust than semi-metallic pads and has been shown to stop a saloon 13 meters faster than OEM pads at 100 mph / 160 km / h.

“Redstuff”, on the other hand, is a high-performance semi-metallic road material used in saloon racing, having won the Slick 50 Saloon Car Championship with Ian Mitchell’s Honda in 1997. It was widely used by many racing teams that They were in 1999. “Redstuff” is recommended for highway use, only in cars that have 200BHP +. CME Brakes’ most durable material “Bluestuff” has a slightly lower coefficient of friction than its green, yellow and red counterparts, but offers a much longer life and is suitable for endurance races of up to six hours. in most types of saloons. .

For SUVs, CME designed a quiet pad that will stop faster and last longer with almost zero brake dust. Called “the best SUV front pad,” the 7000 Series SUV Supreme does not include steel fiber and therefore no dust sticks or adheres to the wheel alloys.

CME also featured its drilled and slotted sports rotors, special disc alloys designed to have wider grooves that actually draw cool air across the pad surface keeping the pads and rotors cooler. They also expel hot dust, dirt, and gases better than fine grooves, which are prone to rust buildup. Blind drilled holes break down surface gases when braking for speed, but do not weaken the rotor cross section, reducing the chance of rotors cracking over time and heavy use.

CME has proven its worth in the field of performance brake parts, and it will appear that it will continue to set its class with its innovative line of brake pad systems.

Why is the Ford F-150 the best-selling truck in the country?

The Ford F-Series is an iconic American pickup truck with a long history of success. The first generation was originally produced in 1948, and at that time ranged in size from a light-duty half-ton truck (the F-1) to a heavy-duty three-ton option (the F-8). The F-150 was added in 1975, and the F-Series has been America’s best-selling truck since 1976. The F-150s sold today are the 13th generation, and while Ford has made major technological changes to its trucks since so, they have always tried to stay true to the original spirit of the F-Series. This is one of the reasons they maintain such a loyal customer base.

    Versatility

With a wide variety of model types, engine sizes, and different finishes to choose from, the F Series is one of the most versatile pickup truck lines on the market. Models include the F-150, Super Duty light commercial trucks (F-250 through F-550), and the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty commercial trucks. Versions of the F-150 include XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited packages. They have a larger base engine than Chevy (its biggest competition), and there are also more engine sizes to choose from.

    Reliability

According to Ford, there are still more F-Series trucks on the road with 250,000 miles or more than any other brand, proving they are tough and reliable. They are the best-selling cars in the country for thirty years. These trucks are a true American product and are primarily assembled at Ford’s Kentucky Truck Plant. However, some parts are manufactured in Mexico and Venezuela.

    Force

When it comes to power, no other brand can match the F-150’s towing and payload capacity. The standard V6 engine can tow up to 7,600 pounds. and it can handle a payload of 1,910 pounds. Its most powerful engine, the 3.5L turbocharged V6, tows 12,200 pounds. and has a payload capacity of 3,270 pounds. They’re efficient too, and the F-150 combines the power of a V8 with the fuel efficiency of a V6.

    Safe and forward thinking

Although many large trucks can be difficult to maneuver, the F Series has an automatic parking feature available, so you can relax while your vehicle is parking. Safety features include ABS, traction control, stability control, and trailer sway control. When equipped with the optional Forward Collision Warning System, the F-150 was one of the IIHS top safety picks in 2016. Other awards in 2016 included the Kelley Blue Book as Best Buy of the Year and Cost of Purchase Lowest 5 years in his class.

It’s easy to see why the F Series has been America’s best-selling vehicle for thirty years. However, if a truck isn’t for you, Ford has other great options. The Explorer Sport is the best-selling non-luxury midsize SUV among the wealthy Gen-X, the Mustang remains one of the most iconic American sports cars ever made, and the Fusion Hybrid is a great choice for anyone looking for fuel efficiency, with up to 43 mpg on urban highways.

The Ultimate Ranch Hand: ATV or Japanese Mini Truck?

As operators of a retirement property in Colorado that required us to travel a certain distance around the facility, we were faced with finding a cheaper mode of transportation than our van. Following the example of other farmers and ranchers in the area, we blindly made an expensive purchase of a new ATV. It was a decision that I would later regret.

Over the past 15 years, the basic ATV has become a staple on many large ranches, farms, and retirement properties. People who work in large property operations must be able to navigate their land quickly and efficiently to do repairs, check fences, crops, irrigation, and a host of other tasks. In recent years, the vehicle of choice was the basic pickup. It was reliable and could carry enough supplies without making multiple trips.

When companies like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and others started producing recreational vehicles called ATVs (all-terrain vehicle), large owners and companies immediately saw the benefits of having a smaller utility vehicle. The basic ATV could get a person to a job site quickly and could carry a small number of tools or other necessities to get a job done.

However, the ATV was not created to be the optimal utility vehicle, but rather the optimal ‘recreational’ vehicle. With its narrow profile and 4-wheel drive capability, the ATV was incredibly well suited for tackling mountain trails, steep terrain, and effectively getting someone back into the hills with a bit of fun. In a pinch, you could bring two people along with a rifle or fishing pole, and maybe a bag lunch.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the ATV was showing some limitations. Its inherent fun factor design was great for taking a man to a workplace to check something, but it couldn’t carry much more than a bottle of water and a razor. Some ATV manufacturers addressed this by creating small cargo hauling options. While that helped some, it didn’t really get the ATV back in a vehicle that had a lot of cargo capacity.

And there were a couple of other not-so-minor issues that showed the ATV’s weakness as the optimal ranch vehicle. Not only could it not carry much cargo, what it did carry, including the rider, was often left out in the open. On rainy, snowy, or cold days, the ATV rider had to endure the elements while his tools got wet.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment in the ATV was its fuel economy … or should we say, the lack of fuel economy. When we bought our ATV for retirement, I was excited to start saving money by driving the truck all over the property. What a disappointment to find that our little ATV couldn’t muster better gas mileage than our old Toyota truck. In fact, it was worse. Many ATVs are heavy, tipping the scales at around 800 pounds. Throw in a rider and a bit of cargo, and now you’re asking a ‘one banger’ to drive better than a thousand pounds without a lot of gas. It’s not going to happen.

    A better alternative

Under the heading of “If I had known then, what I know now …”, we would not have bought the ATV. While the initial ‘fun factor’ was quite exciting, you soon realized the ATV’s aforementioned weaknesses. But at the time, he knew of no other alternative.

But recently I realized what is called the ‘Japanese Mini Truck’ or Kei truck. The term Japanese mini truck only meant one thing to me … your basic ½ ton Toyota or Nissan-like pickup truck. But that is no longer the case.

Japanese mini trucks are smaller vehicles that can accommodate two people, have an enclosed cab with heating and sometimes air conditioning, and feature a pickup box that has almost the same load capacity as larger Japanese trucks. However, the entire vehicle is much smaller and much more maneuverable on the ranch or farm.

Also called Kei Trucks (“Kei” means ‘light’), the Japanese Minitruck has other characteristics that make it stand out from the ATV as a ‘ranch pawn’. They are able to achieve phenomenal fuel economy using a small but powerful 3-cylinder engine. The driveline setup, which also comes with 4-wheel drive, is of a more standard design and is therefore often more reliable and easier to work with on an ATV. Anyone who has ever placed their ATVs in the shop for repair can attest to the incredible cost of maintaining them.

Buying a Japanese mini truck often has to be done through a local importer, who brings these used vehicles from Japan in containers. Kei trucks are generally not sold new in the US And in most cases, the mini-truck is considered an agricultural vehicle rather than a highway vehicle. But some states allow its use on the road.

Think of a Japanese mini truck as a replacement for an ATV, not a replacement for the truck you use to drive to the store. But oh what a replacement it is for the ATV. I’m amazed at its functionality for driving to the job site, hauling the right load, keeping us warm and dry, and incredible fuel economy and reliability. These trucks are typically manufactured by major manufacturers such as Suzuki, Mitsubishi, and other well-known vehicle producers in Japan.

The newer models feature fuel injection, air conditioning, and some significant improvements over older vehicles. Most units come with a 5-speed transmission. Some have a roll-away bed or other options that provide incredible utility value on the ranch or farm.

In short, if I had to do it all over again, I would give up the ATV and buy myself a Japanese Mini Truck. If you spend more time working on your property than recreation, look for the Japanese Kei truck.

Once you know where to look, there is a lot of information on the web. I found this website at http://www.startruckenterprises.com, run by Dan Buzzell in the Rocky Mountain area. There were many photos of the trucks, as well as useful information.
