Globalization among technology: How is international business affected?

Have you ever considered where your phone or computer came from? Each individual part of the device requires work in production and assembly. There are many products that are manufactured in the country, but the large number of companies that move their products to be produced in other countries is growing every day due to the expected increases in profits. This is an example of globalization. Specifically, companies like Apple can produce their phones, computers, and tablets in foreign countries for much less money than it takes to produce them domestically in the United States. New technology at companies like Apple has allowed globalization to have a negative effect on global business through factors such as location, consumers, and competing organizations. Yes, international factories can produce parts cheaply, but at what cost to global companies?

The consumer is the main reason why companies are successful. Without the consumer, companies would be wasting valuable resources and capital to produce products or services that are not purchased. People all over the world have become so fascinated with Apple products that they spend outrageous amounts of money on them. The cost of these products does not change regardless of the country in which they are sold. However, if the consumer cannot afford the product, he cannot buy it. This is especially true for those who live in the United States if companies like Apple, among many others, move their jobs abroad. Similarly, in foreign countries, companies that produce the technology are paid pennies on the dollar. This results in low wages for workers and, in turn, the inability to purchase products. Thus, the expansion of technology internationally through globalization has a negative effect on the company through the volume of consumer purchases.

Many companies initially manufactured their products in the country. The desire for a higher return on investment has attracted more companies to consider or commit to expanding these tasks internationally through globalization. Potential startups in the United States are not considering manufacturing or creating new products domestically because they fear they will not be able to compete with international rivals or companies that use outsourcing. As a result, this may be too much expansion happening too fast for a new business, and it could be counterproductive to your bottom line. The lack of opportunities to produce in the country has also reduced the number of jobs and has taken funds out of the economy in many ways. By not creating the physical product, but continuing to consume it in the United States, the economy still essentially receives the taxes from the creation or sale of the good. Yet the economy is missing out on income taxes collected from factory employees, as well as money those same workers would be spending to stimulate our economy if their work were not outsourced. This means that consumers will spend less money on products that are produced by companies like Apple.

On the other hand, the globalization of technology also has negative effects at the international level. This continues to affect business on a global scale. As noted above, companies are paid pennies on the dollar for the products they produce, which translates into poor working conditions and wages for the people employed in these jobs. Low wages for workers are directly related to the inability to buy non-essential items like iPads, MacBooks or iPhones. So by using globalization, Apple is technically limiting the number of products it will sell. Continuing with this thought, it is well known that an alarming number of Apple factory workers have committed suicide through exhaustion in their situations. A negative stigma and reputation could be attached to Apple for the reasons behind this, resulting in additional units not being purchased. This would all be thanks to the initial effects of globalization and illustrates just how complicated the problems caused by globalization can be.

Competing companies are also affected by the globalization of technology. For example, when Company One sends manufacturing of its products abroad, there are many negative impacts on similar businesses. There are lost sales opportunities for other companies because Company One can sell its product for much less due to market dominance in the interest of the consumer. The consumer looks for cheaper items with an available offer. Supply tends to be higher because larger manufacturers are able to offer more products for less, further increasing demand. You cannot compete with Company One because their cost to bring the product to market is significantly lower.

The effects of globalization on business are so severe that more emphasis should be placed on discussing the pros and cons when making the decision to outsource a business. Although it may generate more profit for a company, they should consider how far they are willing to go to achieve this goal. They must deliberate on the effects of globalization in their country of origin, as well as in international countries. While outsourcing can be a positive for them, low wages, poor working conditions, and deteriorating mental health have dire repercussions for overseas workers. Likewise, the negative effects on the economy itself and that of competitors must be considered. The money that should be stimulating and circulating through one’s own economy is now in another country. Also, competitors in the same industry will have trouble keeping up and could be forced to go out of business. None of these factors is positive for one’s country. Finally, the most important point about globalization would be the long-term effects on global business. You may initially see higher gains, but overall, globalization affects the consumer and all countries involved so much that sales volume is likely to decline as time goes on. This blatantly defeats the main goal of globalization for a business in the first place.

Buy custom eyeliner – Let your eyes do the talking!

Making sense of which eye cosmetics to use is one of the best choices we make every morning (besides choosing whether it’s coffee day or boring plate day). Do we need a defiant touch of purple eyeliner or an alluring feline dark eye? No matter what look we choose, we need the best eyeliners—from the ideal blending kohl to an exacting, smudge-proof fluid liner—to take care of business. Sadly, we often realize 20 minutes into an important meeting or date that the amazing eyeliner we’ve attached is wearing off on our looks. Smudged, smudged eyes (in serious trouble) are a wonderful calamity to be avoided no matter what, but how much would you say you’re willing to spend for amazing liner that won’t budge?

One of those eyeliners is from the Brands house. You can buy eyeliner without breaking your bank account. Lipsticks and eyeliner are available at every retailer and online shopping site you know of. For great deals on beauty products, shop online.

Type of eyeliners

Eyeliner arrives in a mixed bag of arrangements, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. In its most essential form, eyeliner is made up of particles of color suspended in a base of oil and wax. These basic plans have been around since the time people put on makeup. Although these oil-based eyeliners are still available, silicone-based blends and new tools have vastly expanded the choice of eyeliners. You can easily buy products online.

Pencil

Pencil eyeliners are delicate, waxy sticks of shadow wrapped in wood or paper. They are the most common type of eyeliner and stand out among the most affordable. Pencil eyeliners range from firm to delicate; a firm pencil will draw a longer lasting line, however a delicate pencil is less demanding to apply without tugging at the sensitive skin of the eyelids. The pencils also come in a wider variety of colors than most other forms of eyeliner, so they’re a good option for exploring different paths with respect to different shades.

pencil

Pencil liner offers the simplicity of a pencil with the sharp, long-wearing line of a fluid liner. They are a generally late development and not yet available in a wide variety of colors. While these eyeliners are incredibly easier to apply and dry faster than fluid liner, they don’t quite have the shading power of a traditional fluid liner.

Liquid

Liquid or fluid eyeliner is long-wearing, exceptionally pigmented, and sensational. It is more of a test to apply. Fluid eyeliners go on like paint with a small brush that connects to the top of the eyeliner tube. Different brands incorporate a finely pointed or etched felt tip like that into a marker instead of a usual brush. These felt tips are considerably less demanding to control than a brush, but they can’t achieve as fine a line. Some cosmeticians like to use their own liner brushes for more control.

Leadership Skills for Teens: Facilitate Public Speaking by Using a Speech Structure

To become effective leaders, teens must hone their public speaking skills. One of the fundamental skills that a leadership class should teach is how to structure a speech. Read this article to learn an easy and effective speech structure to use to make your message resonate with your audience.

Fred’s concern about his speech

Fred has to give a speech to his leadership class next week. He is worried because he hasn’t given many speeches and he doesn’t know how he should put the speech together. He knows that public speaking is an important skill that he needs to learn if he wants to become a leader. He decides to go to his leadership teacher for help. His leadership teacher offers encouragement as well as an outline of how to structure a standard speech…

In a nutshell, this is what Fred’s teacher said:

“Tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you told them.”

In general, most standard speeches follow the same type of structure, which includes an introduction, a body consisting of three main points, and a conclusion.

The three standard parts of a discourse structure

Part 1. Introduction

The opening or introduction of the speech sets the tone and topic of the speech:

  • It usually contains a quote, example, statistics, or humorous story to grab the audience’s attention.
  • The speaker must also give the main topic of the speech.
  • Also, you should summarize the main points that are going to be addressed in the speech.

Part 2. Body consisting of three main points

A standard speech has a body that contains three main points:

  • These points come from the main theme of the speech given in the introduction.
  • The speaker should give examples, illustrations, statistics, stories, and/or quotes about each of the central points to support them.

Part 3. Conclusion

The classic saying about a speech is that you should “Tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them what you’re going to tell them, and then tell them what you told them.” The first part represents the introduction, the next is the three main points of the body of the speech, and the last, “tell them what you told them,” is the conclusion.

At the conclusion of the speech,

  • The speaker should remind the audience what the main topic was and how each of the three main points relates to it.
  • The speaker should summarize the main ideas of the speech.
  • Depending on the type of speech it is, the speaker may need to make a call to action based on the ideas of the speech.

How Fred applied this to his speech

Given his high school leadership teacher’s outline for how to structure a speech, Fred worked on his speech throughout the week and organized his ideas. His speech was excellent, as he presented his topic, went over the main points and gave his conclusion. His teacher was pleased and he received many high fives from his classmates for his speech. He then thanked his student leadership teacher by saying:

“Crafting a speech is not as difficult as I thought, when you have the right speech structure.”

Blue Jays: clever mimics of the world of birds

The other morning I followed the sound of what I thought was a baby hawk, possibly in distress. Walking deeper into the woods as quietly as I could, I stopped often to concentrate on the insistent sounds. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of a juvenile hawk, or at least the nest site.

I finally reached the place where the hawk sounds were loudest. However, to my surprise, it was not a red-shouldered hawk that flew out of the tree, but a blue jay that uttered the same shrill but nasal ‘keyeer, keeyeer’. It was then that I knew I had been fooled by one of the best and most versatile mimics in the bird world.

Calling like a hawk, blue jays easily disperse other birds at the feeder. This gives them the freedom to dine at their leisure with little to no competition. They also have their own form of insect control. Did you know that blue jays often comb their hair with ants? Presumably they are using the insects to trap and eliminate lice and other irritating parasites. Very smart birds!

For at least 15 years, every spring there is a very special blue jay that comes to my feeder. This jay has always imitated the sound of an old rotary phone dialing. It’s a very unique sound. I must admit that I look forward to hearing it again every year. I know jays are long-lived, and the dialer on my phone is proof!

In addition to being loud and sometimes aggressive, blue jays can be friendly and calm. I watched as two males competed for the attention of a beautiful soft blue-gray female. Each one flew from branch to branch cooing softly and trying to get closer to her. Then a male would fly up engaging the female to do the same. The pair floated gently downward in a wing-spreading spiral, landing on the ground and then retreating to the parted branches.

This happened several times as each male took turns trying to impress the female with body movements and soft comforting sounds. The three of them flew together to another place in the forest to repeat the same dance. I can only imagine how long it took for that female to finally decide which male blue jay would be her mate. It was fun and fascinating to watch.

Blue jays are very secretive when it comes to building nests. They use alternative routes and lure locations so that no predator can easily follow them to the nesting site. They love shiny objects and often incorporate bits of foil wrap into their nests of loose twigs. They like a well-decorated house just as much as we humans! There will be as few as three or as many as seven olive-green eggs covered with brown spots.

Burying food reserves to dig up later when food sources are scarce is another tactic employed by these large 11″ to 12″ birds. His favorites are sunflower seeds, peanuts, cracked corn, pieces of stale bread or baked goods, suet, and berries. They also like the eggs of other birds, so it’s a good idea to provide them with protection in the form of birdhouses and nests.

Sometimes here in the Northeast, if the winter is relatively mild, our blue jays stay. It’s so nice to see its beautiful blue color against the white snow. Jays have a white face, black neck, blue wings and back with a blue tail trimmed with black and white feathers. Their distinctive blue crest will give a clue as to what they are feeling. For example, when they are calm, their crest flattens. On the other hand, if they are in an aggressive mood, the crest will point forward.

When both colorful cardinals and blue jays appear on a gray, snow-covered day, it’s a sight that helps the winter months seem less than long. No wonder they are featured so often on Christmas greeting cards!

My clever blue jays never cease to amaze me with their beauty, aggressive shrillness, and mimicry. I look forward to seeing them grab a bite to eat at the feeders before easily flying through our forest. They will return many times throughout the day with the now familiar ‘keeyeer’ to disperse the smaller birds, self-proclaimed kings and queens of the backyard bird feeder!

A Moment of Truth: Confessions of a True Chocoholic

Have you run out of all the chocolate in your kids’ Trick-or-Treat bags yet? And not because your kids ate it all? If you’re like me, chocolate candies are nowhere to be found because you’ve unknowingly snatched them away from your kids and, with a lot of guilt and remorse, ate them all. Not because you don’t like your kids eating too much chocolate (it’s for their own good, right?). And not because I’m desperately trying to put on a few pounds. The truth is, you are a serious chocoholic, and anything that contains chocolate doesn’t last long in your house because it ends up in your stomach.

Now, many of us are well-known chocoholics, but others, to some degree, still have a leg in the closet. Those close to us know that we love chocolate, but when the sweet goes missing we don’t take responsibility. I recently removed myself from obscurity and became a self-proclaimed chocoholic. Also, I am ready to explore the reasons behind my desires and what can be done about it. In fact, it’s probably time we all came out of the candy closet to talk about this penchant for sugary treats. Why do we have it? Is there a genetic component to our needs? And what’s wrong with being addicted to this mother cocoa bean? Most importantly, what can we do to keep our habitual desire in check? I’ll explore all of the above and detail a healthy way to keep chocolate in our diets.

Why are we the chosen chocoholics anyway? Within my research, I discovered that several scientists believe that genetics play a role in why certain people are consumed by the taste and smell of chocolate. Although I’m not a scientist, I also believe that the inevitable craving for chocolate has some hereditary component. In my family, both parents have a desire to eat anything that contains even a trace of chocolate. My sisters have also been burdened by this need for any version of chocolate. Also, my older brother requires a lot of willpower to stay out of the candy cabinet at his house. This may not be scientific evidence, but it is my experience and represents the reason in my mind. No doubt many of the chocoholics reading this article can think of at least two family members who require a daily dose of chocolate to keep them happy.

So what’s the big deal about chocolate anyway? Is it really that bad for us? I guess the answer is yes and no. Yes for some of us, no for others. Many doctors and psychologists believe that being addicted to chocolate means that one has the genetic code to simply be addicted. Many chocoholics are also alcoholics, smokers, and in line with addictive behaviors. Research also shows that many obese people are plagued by addiction to chocolate, as well as addiction to other foods. For these people, addiction to anything has the potential to become problematic.

What about those of us who are addicted to chocoholics but not obese and not regular addicts? I myself am not obese. I’m also not addicted…to anything but chocolate. I have never dealt with any other addiction. I don’t have addictive behavior and I don’t think I have the disease of addiction. I’m just in love with chocolate and I want it almost as much as I want a good night’s sleep. Is it really dangerous for me? Granted, it’s not the healthiest food to love, but I have yet to enter the realm of danger. But it wouldn’t hurt to find a better way to fulfill my wishes.

Most chocoholics know their habit isn’t necessarily a good one and would be willing to try a healthier alternative. Replacing the chocolate with carob chips might help kick the chocolate habit, but the taste just isn’t the same. Another alternative is dark chocolate, which is known to have health benefits such as lowering high blood pressure. It also contains a powerful antioxidant that helps fight heart disease and other ailments. Just don’t wash it down with a glass of milk because milk prevents the absorption of the good stuff. Organic dark chocolate is said to be the healthiest option. It is more expensive than the average chocolate bar but is very rich in flavonoids and antioxidants. Organic dark chocolate, when consumed in moderation, can help control diabetes and blood pressure. This is the best replacement for those who are addicted to chocoholics but need a healthier variety.

Whatever your choice, it’s imperative to remember that all types of chocolate contain large amounts of sugar and should only be eaten by healthy people. I myself would like to say that from now on I will only eat organic dark chocolate in moderation. But who am I kidding. I know I lack willpower. However, I do believe in the strength of numbers and I look forward to all the emails I will receive from other chocoholics wanting to ease, if not curb, the habit. I don’t think chocolate is going to kill me, but it certainly isn’t going to save my life. I will try to limit my consumption and focus on buying dark varieties of chocolate. Especially now that all the Halloween candy is gone. And if I can do it, you can too.

Legal Law

respect for authority

Professionals such as engineers have an obligation to respect the legitimate authority of their employees. An authority offers a way to identify areas of personal responsibility and accountability.

Expert authority:

To avoid problems in institutional authority. Expert authority is the possession of special knowledge, skills or competencies to perform some shots or give good advice. For example, doctors are authorities on health, civil engineers are authorities on building structures and aesthetics, lawyers are authorities on legal matters, and computer scientists are authorities on software, hardware, etc.

Expert authority is called “leadership authority” as it implies the expertise to effectively lead others. In most cases, engineers will have expert authority on technology-related matters, while institutional authority will lie with line managers who handle the day-to-day activities of the organization.

Institutional authority:

Refers to authority within the organization. For example, the account manager is authorized with some limitations to sanction financial commitments within your institution. If authority is given to qualified personnel, the goals of the organization will be easily accomplished.

Authority versus power:

Ineffective people cannot command power if they lack leadership, they cannot inspire and motivate employees, even if they are empowered to do so. In other words, people who are effective can gain great power or influence; power goes far beyond the authority of the position they occupy. Charismatic leaders often have influence outside their domains of authority, and highly respected engineers of proven integrity may have power in an organization that explicitly exceeds the rights of their institutions.

Morally Justified Authority:

Engineers may have an institutional duty to obey the boss to do things that are morally unjustified. Therefore, institutional rights and duties cannot be applied in the same sense as morally justified rights and duties.

Institutional authority is morally justified only when the ends of the institution are morally permissible or morally desirable and the manner in which it is exercised does not violate other moral duties.

Acceptance Authority:

Employees mostly accept the guidance and obey their employer, they rarely disobey for moral reasons. Every employee of an organization has something called “zone acceptance” that shows his interest in accepting the authority of his employees. Most of the time, employees expand their zone of acceptance without considering whether or not the authority requires moral acts. This reveals that employees lack moral integrity. Therefore, employer directives must be carefully evaluated by employees for justifications before accepting the directive.

Therefore, engineering professionals must weigh their obligations to the public, their employees, their colleagues, and others when conflicts arise between those obligations. A simple prioritization, without exceptions, is not always possible.

4 supplements that help you maintain your beauty or stay slim

What do you think when we say “skin care”? You may think that you always take good care of your skin with the help of scrubs, moisturizers, and serums. Actually, if you want to maintain your beauty, you should also take care of your skin and change your lifestyle. With the right kind of vitamins and nutrients, you can heal your skin. Therefore, we suggest that you try some supplements. In this article, we are going to talk about 4 supplements that can help you maintain your beauty or stay slim.

1.Vitamin C

Vitamin C is essential if you want to maintain the health of your skin. It actually helps your skin fight damage and encourage wound healing. Apart from this, it also offers protection against environmental stressors. In addition, it is on the list of the main nutrients that your body needs to produce collagen, which is a basic component that keeps your skin in good health.

Vitamin C is found in many fruits and vegetables, especially citrus fruits and green leafy vegetables. Also, green tea is another great source to meet your vitamin C needs. If you cannot eat fruits or vegetables for any reason, you can opt for vitamin C supplements. They are safe to use.

2. B vitamins

Although B vitamins are necessary to support your mood, they also play an important role in keeping your skin in good condition. The benefits of B vitamins for the skin vary. For example, according to a research study, vitamin B12 helps your body produce enough good bacteria and reduce bad bacteria.

Some good sources of B vitamins include whole grains, soy products, leafy greens, meat, cheese, eggs, and milk. Alternatively, you can opt for B vitamins as per your doctor’s recommendation.

3. Fatty acids

Aside from other benefits, fatty acids like omega-3 fatty acids are important for your body if you want to protect your skin from damage. According to research studies, these fatty acids help reduce acne symptoms as they have anti-inflammatory properties. Apart from this, omega-3 can help you reduce skin dryness by trapping moisture.

Some good sources of omega-3 fatty acids are nuts, shellfish, seeds, green vegetables, and seaweed. You can also use omega-3 supplements. However, it is better to use supplements derived from natural sources such as mussels, krill, or fish.

4. Evening primrose oil

According to many research studies, adults can benefit from evening primrose oil supplements to improve the health of their skin. Actually, this oil contains fatty acids that can help the hormonal balance in your body. You can increase the power of this oil by combining it with other fatty acids.

If you really want to use omega-3 supplements, you may want to opt for those made from mussels, krill, or fish.

So these are 4 supplements that you can use to maintain your beauty. Although eating fruits and vegetables can meet your vitamin needs, it may not be a good option for everyone. Therefore, opting for supplements is a better idea.

Pandora: one of the best apps for smartphones

Mobile phone apps are becoming more and more popular with the release of every new smartphone. Making the organization of our lives more efficient, keeping up with the latest news and events; Apps, free or paid, are just another reason cell phones have become such a big part of our world today.

The new Pandora app, developed from Pandora radio, is another one of those reasons why we appreciate amazing new apps for our smartphones. While making the list of the top ten most used smartphone apps, knowing the story behind the new app is a great way to benefit and respect it even more.

Pandora started a few years ago as a Music Genome Project. This mathematical algorithm created by Will Glaser and Tim Westergren was brought to Pandora Radio (currently on MSN) in the year 2000. The idea would be to create music groups to categorize. Each song was then given a list of features that would place them within these pods.

In this, Pandora could offer suggestions of songs and artists that someone who liked a similar pod might also like. This gives the listener the ability to not only listen to their favorite tracks and artists, but also introduce them to new tracks and artists, intermittently. Listeners choose to create stations based on their favorite artists. They can choose a multitude of stations and cycle through all of them. Whether your phone breaks down and needs iPhone repair, or you’re temporarily out of service due to faulty service, your options remain within the Pandora software. Pandora also allows you to skip tracks, as well as pause tracks at the user’s choice.

As of mid-2010 alone, Pandora had over seven hundred thousand tracks on file, including variant artists. More than forty-five million users had subscribed to Pandora and were using the system. Now being used as an app on smartphones and phones with similar features, Pandora has reached a new level.

The best thing about having Pandora as an application on your cell phone is that the first forty hours of music each month is completely free. If a user wishes to continue service past their forty hours within a month, this can be arranged for a small fee of less than one US dollar.

The app has proven its worth by allowing the system to suggest new artists and music, but also by allowing the listener to accept or reject suggested preferences. To make life even easier, you get links to buy songs that the listener wants to hear over and over again on the Pandora website or in the Pandora app.

Creativity and innovation as competence

The SCREAM technique can help guide your organization to come up with innovative solutions that work effectively and productively. While in a leadership position, you’ll need SCREAM to get to the root of the problem quickly and find ways and means to solve it.

To be innovative and creative, the first thing you need to do is find areas in your work environment that provide opportunities to innovate. This can be anything from customer relationship management, new processes and new services, improving your workflow, new product development, or improving the quality of your current product. The list is not exhaustive.

Once you find an area to innovate, the next step is to identify and frame the opportunity. As you do this, you need to come up with an action plan for how you are going to innovate. You will have to study your current situation and think about the future to see in which direction you want to go. You will need to collect relevant data that will eventually allow you to find a viable solution. Once you’ve done this, you should implement the solution to see if it works and if necessary rework the concept.

To help you in this process, SCREAM is an ideal tool. This is what you can do:

Replace your current situation with another

Through substitution, you can find opportunities to brainstorm new ideas and see what works and if there is a more efficient system. In the past there were some babies who were born with a rare condition of lactose intolerance. This means they can’t drink milk because these babies don’t produce the lactase enzyme that helps break down milk protein, which is their only source of nutrients in their formative year. Through a medical breakthrough, nutritionists were able to develop a soy milk substitute for infants with fortified vitamins and other ingredients that give these babies a chance at survival.

Combine your ideas with other ideas

On paper it may seem perfect, but when put to the test it can be unfeasible and unreliable. This is where you should see the need to combine your idea with someone else’s to see if you can come up with something unique and workable. Think shampoo and conditioner. Two separate products combined now there is a conditioning shampoo. Another combination of adding a certain type of essential oil to these shampoos and now there are shampoos for various hair types.

Reverse the situation and rearrange the facts

Sometimes innovative solutions can emerge by reversing the existing situation and rearranging the facts. Henry Ford posed a simple question of what happens if instead of the worker having to go to work for him, the work comes to him instead. With a bit of strategic thinking, Ford came up with the concept of the production line where each worker stands by the conveyor belt and the work comes to him.

Cut out the unnecessary and elaborate on the features.

Ermal Fraze wondered if there is a better method to open the can instead of using the can opener. What would happen if the can opener were removed? With a little creative insight, the pop-up can was born. Ask yourself if there are unnecessary protocols, features, and other things you’re doing that, if removed, would make you more productive, efficient, and effective without compromising quality, safety, health, legal, and ethical issues.

adapt and modify

The art of innovation is the ability to adapt to the existing situation and find an effective and viable solution. By modifying the key components of a product, it is possible to generate new ideas in different industries. Guglielmo Marconi’s intention was to promote the use of radio for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore communication. Reginald Fessenden in 1906 unknowingly gave the idea that a radio is not necessarily only used to communicate with ships, but could instead be used to transmit music. This was the beginning of the radio transmission that is still a very important part of our lives.

So go ahead SHOUT and innovate.
