Tired and nostalgic road in Stuttgart, Germany

Our “last European road trip” ended in Stuttgart, Germany, where we dropped off our once-new Macan S, named Max, at the Porsche factory for shipment home.

After being on the road for almost thirty days and driving 2,150 miles through Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, the moment comes when you realize… enough is enough… it’s time to go home!

And on this holiday, we brought back a rather unusual souvenir!

The last driving segment and factory delivery

Konstanz’s journey to Stuttgart was smooth and everything went according to plan. But as we drove to the parking area in front of the Zuffenhausen complex, the harsh reality hit us…this was the official end of the trip and we’re going home tomorrow.

We were greeted by the same Porsche delivery consultant we initially met a month ago, but this time we handed him the keys and he handed us a folder with the paperwork.
Saying goodbye to Max was strange after all the time we spent together and especially not knowing exactly when we would meet.

As we walked through the building, we glanced into the delivery room and saw a collection of new Porsches all lined up, waiting for their owners, and reflected on how excited we had been the night before picking up our new vehicle.

last night in stuttgart

Our trip began and ended at the Althoff Hotel am Schlossgarten, which is an excellent hotel with warm and welcoming staff. Upon check-in, we were upgraded to a magnificent suite with two balconies. The views were exceptional and added a fitting end to our visit.

You know it’s time to go home when…

Despite a lot of pre-trip planning at home, there was still a lot of “local” logistics to work through every day…which gets old after a while.

Simple things become exhausting… Sightseeing and excursion decisions instead of staying and enjoying the local atmosphere in a small cafe. Even the question of what to eat and where becomes challenging.

As we neared the end of the trip, packing became a stuffing event…just roll it up and keep last few days clothes separate and tidy.

Craving a steak and baked potato

In fact, we had a weird craving for plain, basic American food… like a steak and baked potato of all things.

Finding a steakhouse proved to be a challenge as there weren’t many options, but we did find one with decent reviews and it was within walking distance.

The street scene was very different from a month ago, when we saw warm summer weather with hordes of revelers enjoying the Stuttgart Wine Village Festival with over 150 wine arbors and food vendors.

We are now experiencing a cool early autumn afternoon with a light crowd of locals in the wide pedestrian squares. This new perspective had us a bit lost, so we asked what turned out to be a patient and friendly woman for directions.

“Could you tell us where the Block House Steak restaurant is?”

She replied, with a slightly puzzled look, and said, “Why would you go there when we have exceptional Swabian restaurants for you to enjoy?

“We know it and we’ve enjoyed it, but we’ve been here almost 30 days and we’re going home tomorrow.”

With an understanding smile and said… “Oh, okay, then go three blocks down that road and turn right.”

Max’s ride home

We dropped Max off on September 29, stripped the car down to the owner’s manuals and maps, and drove to the German port city of Emden in a transport truck where it was then loaded onto the Goliath Leader, a car carrier. which houses more than 18,000 vehicles.

The ship stopped at a few more ports before heading out to sea. We were able to track her as she crossed the Atlantic, she passed through the Panama Canal and headed for the port of San Diego, where she went through customs and a final check by Porsche.

We finally met up at our local dealer on December 3rd… just over two months later.

So would we do it again?

Taking delivery of a new car is exciting and marks a major financial decision, but when you add a European delivery to the chemistry, you get a totally different and amplified experience.

Driving a high-performance, custom-built vehicle for a month’s vacation through the breathtakingly beautiful European countryside and the freedom to go anywhere without restrictions or car rental fees has a huge advantage.

On the other hand… Driving a new car in a totally foreign environment, along with the paranoia associated with dents and bumps, as well as finding “perfect” parking spots adds a bit of stress to the once-in-a-lifetime euphoric undertaking. . .

Add to the equation the fact that… you’ll be paying for a car you won’t even see for over 2 months while it’s in transit to your home port.

But you know… you only go once and if you were going to buy it anyway, why not get out of your comfort zone?

All of this makes for a great and unique story that gets better every time we tell it!

As described in our “The Last Road Trip in Europe” series, we had an incredible adventure and exceptional memories to reflect on for years to come.

Summary

Looking back, we had a vacation in Europe, Porsche treated us with reduced airfares and hotel rates, special meals, personal guided tours of the world-class factory and museum, and lots of thoughtful and personal touches.

Driving experiences and the freedom to choose your own destinations and timeframes cannot be assigned a numerical dollar value…the untold is coming!
All we have to do is look at all our photos, read our series of travel articles and look in our garage at Max…

After all, what’s the rush… get inspired.

How Dog Ownership Has Changed Over 80 Years

An online search for comments and opinions declares that owning a dog in 1960 was very different than it is today. A quarter of the dogs at the time were random strays, owned or not. Ownership rules were much less well defined. Even though there were commercial dog foods available and a Milk Bone treat company, the dog food industry only appealed to a few dog owners. Conventional dogs survived on table scraps and pouring sauce on your dog’s food was a big trend!

Dog Trends of the 1960s

The ladies of the 1960s popularized smaller breed dogs that were easy to transport. A new trend in dog ownership began when owners began dressing small dogs in sweaters. The 1960s ushered in major societal changes in dog care, health, and even animal ethics.

Veterinarians were few. In the 1960s, the science of veterinary medicine was an established degree that required a few “short” years of college education, at a time when most people got by with a high school graduation or less. It was not a very popular profession and it took too long compared to many other job options available. There were few applicants and few graduates of the program. Pet sitting was provided on demand only. Very sick and injured dogs used to be euthanized as the system did not have the technology or resources to prolong life as we enjoy it today.

Successful graduates were mostly men and went to work in remote areas of the country on farms. Specialized in the treatment of diseases and illnesses in large animals – bovine and equine. Veterinarians of the 1960s were also trained in the treatment of poultry diseases, so their focus was really on promoting the viability of farm animals for sales and consumption by the human food industry.

Dog Ownership in 1990: Veterinary Medicine Expands to Accommodate Urban Families and Their Pets

The 1990s saw sweeping changes in veterinary science. First, a college degree is increasingly recognized as a standard education for the workforce. Well, it is not mandatory to get a job in many fields, applicants with degrees are generally considered to have more job opportunities and better salaries with more social benefits. The 1990s also see more female students entering medicine and science programs, including veterinary science. However, the majority of students and teachers are still men.

Veterinary clinics have been popping up across the country to care for household pets who get sick or have an accident or need hospice care. The medical approach is still largely based on treating the problem, disease, or illness. New ideas for disease prevention and health education are only beginning to cause another shift in veterinary focus. From on-demand vaccinations to spaying and neutering to population control, major themes show a broader shift in practice as veterinary medicine expands to meet the early needs of globalization.

Having a dog today, or any pet, really shows how our animals have become part of our family. Today, most vets suggest vet insurance, run expensive top-of-the-line technology to diagnose every condition you take your dog to the vet for. Many veterinarians are now women, with female enrollment higher than male at universities. Many teachers in the program are now women as well. Veterinary programs take several years to complete as they cover a wide range of animal diseases and health promotion practices for the care of domestic animals and livestock. Universities that now offer highly specialized degree programs. The shift towards health promotion and prevention continues and is in full swing! Veterinary medicine today is proactive! Vaccinations are recommended from puppyhood throughout your dog’s life to prevent disease. Spaying and neutering are routinely done, dogs are living longer, and veterinary medicine is prepared to care for them with medications, advice, and therapeutic healers that offer a variety of symptom control and promote longevity.

Owning a dog in 2020: how modern dogs live

We have a great advantage to live in this age of technology and indulgence. There are so many dog food and treat options out there that are just as healthy and home-grown as our human-grade food. Aside from a lot of challenging but fun decisions is which brand to choose for your dog.

Mass globalization has even provided more adaptation options than ever before! Do you want a pet store puppy? A breeder’s high-end show dog? Adopt a dog from a shelter? Adopt an elderly dog to improve the last stage of his life and provide palliation and love? Today, there are so many resources available to help you make the right decision.

Today, the pet supply industry is abuzz with trendy toys and supplies and tricks for your new puppy or adult dog. Senior dogs are being treated like never before, with advances in dog health and wellness and insurance coverage. Owning a dog has never presented medical and ethical challenges as complex as they are today.

Owning a dog has never presented medical and ethical challenges as complex as they are today.

Dogs have truly become part of our families. In some cases, they even experience separation and divorce from their human owners. Dogs are known to share time between each new human home on a regular basis after separation.

In some families it is the children. As more people choose to remain single, or be in relationships and not have children, or are unable to have children, owning a dog or dogs is becoming a more popular option. The dogs in these situations get all the love and the owners get emotional satisfaction too. Owning a dog is also cheaper than having human children. Since the average child costs $14,000 a year up to the age of 18. By comparison, owning a dog costs $1,000 a year per dog. Dog ownership has a shorter timeline. Instead of ownership for life, with dogs you get a shorter trip of lasting memories and may or may not continue at another time. Making dogs a more flexible and affordable investment at any time!

Looking to the future

In the last 80 years, the world has seen great advances in dog ownership, training, supplies, and medical care. There are 89.7 million dog owners in the US in 2017, driving market demand and defining trends in dog care. Even the way veterinarians are educated and run their practice has gone through radical transitions. Technology, innovation and best practice research are the driving force of the animal health system we have today. But even during all this time, the unconditional love of a dog has not changed.

Funeral Home Marketing – 5 Strategic Planning Myths

It’s that time of year again…planning time.

It happens every year. Business slows down around Thanksgiving and we go through the Christmas season. I like that predictable cycle because it gives me a chance to focus on my family and the spirit of the season.

As soon as we hit January it all comes loose as many funeral home owners suddenly decide they weren’t happy with their 2010 numbers and it’s time to develop a new plan.

This year I received the first “I need strategic help” email on New Year’s Day!

Even with the economic recovery, 2010 was a difficult year for most funeral home owners. If their call volume was good, the margins were still smaller than they wanted and the bottom line suffered.

It’s pretty obvious… it’s time for a new plan.

In this article I am going to describe 5 strategic planning myths that are common among funeral home owners and managers.

Myth #1 – Families don’t have money

There is no doubt that the economy has hurt many families. Rampant unemployment, the ups and downs of the stock market, and the housing market crash have all combined to wipe out the savings of many families.

Why then did the average amount spent on a wedding in 2010 hit an all-time high of $27,852? That’s a 100% increase since 1990.

Why was it that while Chrysler and GM were bankrupt, sales of luxury cars like Ferrari and Rolls Royce were at an all-time high?

The reality is that some families do not have money. But many families have a lot of money and simply don’t understand the value of a viewing and memorial service, so they won’t spend their money on it.

The point is that designing your business assuming no one has money is a big mistake. There are still plenty of people with money, and one of the goals of strategic planning is to figure out how to attract as many of those people to your funeral home as possible.

Myth #2: If I give it time…the business will come back

This is sometimes called the ostrich approach to business management… stick your head in the sand and hope the problem goes away.

I think the funeral home market has fundamentally and irreversibly changed over the last decade. This change is mainly due to the fact that baby boomers now call the shots at the deal conference.

The basic nature of a baby boomer is that they always defy traditions. They did it in the 1960s, 1970s, and continue to defy traditions today.

The fundamental problem is that most baby boomers do not understand the value of a funeral service. If they don’t understand it… they can’t accept it… and they won’t spend money on it.

Very few companies have the power to dictate the direction of the market (Apple is one of the rare exceptions these days). The rest of us have no choice but to constantly reinvent ourselves to meet the changing needs of our target market.

The first baby boomers just turned 65 and there are 76 million more on the way. It will take 20 years for this wave to pass through the funeral home industry.

You could plan to just give it some time. But a better plan may be figuring out how to serve the baby boomer market so your business survives and sees the next generation.

Myth #3: I just need to plan my ad budget

Well, you could… but you’ll probably end up wasting your money.

Many business owners think that marketing and advertising are the same thing. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

Advertising is a small subset of the overall marketing process. Advertising’s job is to make your phone ring. But marketing focuses on the entire process of generating revenue. You don’t make any money because someone called your funeral home. You only make money if you really serve the family.

I like to start any strategic planning meeting by asking for the numbers. How many times did the phone ring? How many of those turned into a call for your company? How many of them choose to have a wake and/or memorial service? How many of those families referred others to your funeral home?

Studying these numbers tells you where the biggest problem exists.

Instead of planning your advertising budget, you really need to plan each step in your marketing process and then figure out what budget you need to support the entire process.

Making your phone ring is a good first step…but it won’t pay your mortgage.

Myth #4 – All I have to do is copy the industry leaders

Every industry has its leaders. In the funeral home market there are a handful of very successful private companies that serve 1,500 to 2,000 or more families each year and operate a highly respected and profitable business.

As the recognized leaders of the funeral home market, these companies are carefully studied by the rest of the industry. Every move they make is copied dozens or hundreds of times across the country.

There is a critical flaw in this process…what works in St Petersburg Florida may not work in Racine Wisconsin. And what works in Columbus Ohio probably won’t work in Portland Oregon.

We like to think of ourselves as a melting pot society, but the reality is that we are far from homogeneous. It is true that there are many similarities, but there are also many significant differences. This is especially true when it comes to how a family deals with the experience of death.

Direct cremation rates vary from state to state. But they also vary from city to city and even neighborhood to neighborhood (especially when the preferences of different ethnic groups are taken into account).

Copying industry leaders will only work if their market and yours are identical. Otherwise, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Leaders are successful because they have developed and implemented a strategic plan designed specifically for their local market. It can be a great plan, but it will still need to be customized to be successful in your market.

Myth #5: Strategic planning can only be done at a resort

Why do well-established funeral home marketing firms only make things worse by encouraging their clients (meaning you) to combine their strategic planning with a vacation?

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a good vacation. I also like when I can make a portion tax deductible by combining it with an educational event (that’s not tax advice, see your CPA).

Learn a little in the morning, join the family on the ski slopes in the afternoon… not a bad way to spend a few days. The problem is that this is a horrible way to do strategic planning!

An effective strategic planning session requires three important elements.

First, it is always better to do your planning with the help of an outside facilitator. When owners try to do this alone or with their management team, they always get bogged down in the details of a controversial issue and never complete the planning process.

The second important element is that the facilitator needs to have a game plan or agenda to develop the strategic plan. Creating a plan is a step-by-step process to define your target market, analyze this market, and design your business model to deliver value to that market at a reasonable profit. Next, you need to define a marketing message and implementation strategy that will attract the right kind of families to your funeral home. Without a game plan for meetings, you may have some good ideas, but you’ll never end up with a complete strategic plan.

The third element of a successful planning session is that the participants must be able to focus.

You absolutely MUST be able to focus on your business without interruption to develop a new strategic vision and plan to get you there. As Michael Gerber says in his book The E-Myth, it’s time to work “on your business” instead of “on your business.”

The vast majority of funeral home owners I have met are consumed with working their business; meet families, perform services, and manage staff.

Creating a strategic plan requires you to work on your business; studying your market, designing your message and defining exactly how you will deliver something of value to your customers. Since this is not something you do every day, it will take a concentrated effort.

When I’m working one-on-one with a client, I typically suggest that we hold a two-day off-site planning session at a nearby hotel or conference center. The goal is to get you away from the funeral home so you can focus on the planning process instead of being distracted every time you hear the phone. I like to tour your funeral home to get a better idea of your business, but we should only hold the meeting there if you have a truly private area where you won’t hear the phones.

I have facilitated strategic planning sessions at resorts and it just doesn’t work. All participants start out with the best of intentions, but by mid-afternoon they are thinking about what their family is doing outside the room and planning for the evening.

You can bring your facilitator to the resort with you, he or she can bring their proven process with them, but expecting your management team to focus for two days straight in that environment is unrealistic.

In summary… the five big myths of creating a strategic plan for your funeral home are…

Myth #1 – Families don’t have money

Myth #2: If I give it time…the business will come back

Myth #3: I just need to plan my ad budget

Myth #4 – All I have to do is copy the industry leaders

Myth #5: Strategic planning can only be done at a resort

Their mission is to serve families in their time of need. However, you can’t do that if you’re no longer in business.

I encourage you to develop a new strategic plan for your funeral home business as soon as possible. It’s time to work “on your business” instead of “on your business.”

The True Story of Revolutionary Super Cop – Yes Ma’am Sir

“The strongest oak in the forest is not the one that is sheltered from the storm and hidden from the sun. It is the one that is out in the open where it is forced to fight for its existence against the winds and the rains and the scorching sun.” -Napoleon Hill

It is unlikely that anyone will face situations in their life that require them to go beyond their limits and challenge every cell of their ability, courage and willpower. Society and time would always be there to mock and discourage a person from going out and doing or becoming something that is not ordinary. In fact, everyone can do and be average and it takes a lot emotionally and physically to be extraordinary.

A timeless and universal true story brings you the main message of standing up to your convictions and never giving up. An Indian lady, with her dreams of joining the Indian Police Service despite being an all-male team, became the first elite female police officer. With her, not only did she make a name for herself in one of the most corrupt police forces in the world. Despised and belittled by high officials, society, colleagues and the public, she had to face it all and overcome it. For an ancient Indian culture women are never given much importance, being under the leadership of a woman is far from talking about it. Initially referred to as “that girl”, she was undeterred. Her act to stop the law breakers who did not even spare the illegally parked car of the then prime minister took the legal department by surprise by her courage and steadfastness.

Alone, she put down a troublesome riot of thousands of sword-wielding protesters and all of her colleagues fled. He earned respect and admiration not only from his co-workers and elders, but also from the people of India. With a sincere officer like her, top officials found her a gift to her peaceful, self-beneficial yet corrupt administration. It was decided that she would be sent to “Tihar Jail”, the most notorious and corrupt jail in India as punishment. . This scourge was presented as a blessing, where her contributions to correct administrative failures and reform the lives of inmates.

India’s super police, playing the role of daughter, wife and mother, are still on the move to make their contribution to the welfare of the country. Her three-decade battle against the seemingly indomitable forces of corruption, bureaucracy, sexism and prejudice, and her work on behalf of women, prisoners and community charities, has been nothing short of visionary, leading her to he was awarded the “Ramon Magsaysay Prize” (Asian Prize equivalent to a Nobel Peace Prize) and a key position in the United Nations. “A trip can change a life. A life can change the world.”

When Will Online Casino Be Legal in New York?

When Will Online Casino

When will online casinos be legal in New York? Obviously, it depends on the particular state. The state’s legislators will be facing a decline in gambling tax receipts by the spring, and they will likely look for another source of revenue, such as online gambling. Other nearby states are already legalizing online casino gambling. While it’s unclear exactly when this will happen in New York, it’s likely to happen in the next few years.

The US government has been slow to react to the popularity of online gambling. While online gambling sites began popping up in the early ’90s, they lacked any legal guidelines. US-based players were able to easily access these sites. However, in 2006, President George W. Bush signed the Safe Ports Act, making it illegal for US banks to provide services to offshore gambling sites. With these new regulations, US-based operators have been restricted to only operating within their respective states.

คาสิโนออนไลน์

Some states have passed laws to regulate online gambling. Some states have banned gambling in certain situations, including fantasy sports and skill games. Federal laws prohibit the operation of online sports betting websites in the United States, but the regulations surrounding online casinos are not as restrictive. Most states do not prohibit gambling in general, but they may restrict certain types of gambling. For example, in Connecticut, sports betting websites are illegal. But this does not necessarily mean online casinos can’t be legal in New York.

When Will Online Casino Be Legal in New York?

Another way to complete the mission is to use the underground sewer system to get to the location of the buyer. Then, you can steal any car and deliver the loot. Once you reach the buyer location, you’ll get your money reward and a cutscene. During the final stage of the mission, you may have to chase down a helicopter, but this is an option. Choosing the best vehicle will depend on your skills and the level of the heist.

Whether you prefer instant games or downloadable games, you’ll never be bored at an online casino. You’ll find plenty of games to play, and they’re always safe to play with. Business

Corporate and Commercial Law

There are many aspects of business that need to be processed legally. Corporate transactions must always follow legal processes to avoid conflicts between the people involved: finances, contracts, real estate, etc. Having said that, corporate lawyers therefore play an important role and this is the reason why business entities not only seek the advice of external business lawyers, but hire them as permanent members and function as part of their advice. legal. Business lawyers work to solve various corporate problems, including the following:

  • Compensation Issues: A corporate attorney can resolve compensation related issues between the employer and the employees; ensures that a business entity does not violate the law governing compensation/benefits for its employees, and at the same time also ensures that these benefits are not abused, which can be ‘fatal’ to the business itself when is not adequately addressed.
  • Business Formation – Starting a business involves many legal processes, including obtaining a business permit, leasing and other real estate contracts, establishing a specific business policy, etc. – a corporate lawyer can help to get all this on the right track.
  • Shareholders Agreement – Also known as a Shareholders Agreement (in the US), this should be administered by an attorney skilled in corporate and business law as it involves complexities of legality and finance. Other matters that corporate lawyers resolve are dispute resolution by arbitration, constitutional documents, the mechanism to remove minority shareholders, etc.
  • Corporate Financing – involves the management of monetary decisions, corporate takeover analysis, financial operation of a business that includes raising money for a variety of projects or business ventures. As complex as it is, a corporate lawyer can play an important role in participating in all the legal aspects involved in all the financial transactions that a company undertakes.
  • Regulatory Compliance – A corporate attorney may also engage in business compliance enforcement in accordance with applicable rules and regulations required by law. This helps a company conduct its business without any conflict with existing policies set by the government, which could cause some problems in the future, such as criminal or civil penalties, when government policies are not followed.
  • Business Litigation – This is perhaps one of the biggest responsibilities a corporate lawyer can have on their shoulder; this involves settling legal disputes and business matters. Some of the matters handled by a corporate lawyer in commercial litigation are breaches of contract, class action lawsuits, labor disputes, dissolution of companies, breach of fiduciary duty, debt collection, among others.

How to choose kitchen faucets

Of all the accessories and appliances, the kitchen faucet is probably the one we use the most. According to faucet manufacturer KWC, the average family uses the kitchen faucet more than 40 times a day. Whether it’s washing hands, rinsing dishes, filling a pot of pasta, or washing vegetables, your kitchen faucet gets a workout every day. So when it’s time to buy a new faucet, you need to know how to choose one that will get the job done and keep doing it for years to come. But don’t worry, this guide should take much of the fear and disgust out of selecting a new faucet.

Are you looking for a vintage antique look, a chic contemporary look, Old World rustic or something elegant and traditional? Nickel or pewter faucets are perfect for the traditional kitchen, copper or brass faucets are great for Old World and country-style kitchens, and chrome or stainless steel faucets have a very contemporary look.

One of the first things to know before purchasing a faucet is its orifice configuration. Most sinks come with pre-drilled holes to receive the faucet and sometimes accessories such as a sprayer, soap dispenser, hot drink or filtered water faucet. One-hole sinks are for single-control faucets, three-hole sinks are for single-control faucets with spray and/or accessories, and four-hole sinks are for single-control or two-handle sinks with multiple accessories. If you have a front or undermount sink, the holes are drilled into the countertop behind the sink.

Types of kitchen faucets
The right faucet for you depends on your personal preferences. You have several to choose from.

high arc faucets

If you wash a lot of large pots, frequently fill vases, or have a large, roomy sink, a high-arc faucet is probably for you. High-arch faucets, also known as gooseneck or high-arch faucets, give you more room to work. Today’s high-arch kitchen faucets often have beautiful flowing curves and tapered handles and could easily be the focal point of a kitchen. These faucets are best used in deep sinks, they will cause splashing if the sink is shallow. Most bar sink faucets are of the high-arch type to allow as much space as possible for washing produce.

Pull-out and pull-out faucets

Pull-down faucets have a sprayer that opens toward you, while a pull-down faucet has a sprayer that pulls toward the bottom of the sink. Both options help you clean the sink and wash produce or water plants. Pull-out faucets are the fastest growing in popularity of any faucet in the industry for good reason, they are the perfect combination of style and function. A button or toggle control makes it easy to go from aerated stream to spray. Look for one that rotates 360 degrees for easy access to all areas of your sink.

Single Handle Kitchen Faucets with Side Spray

Single-handle faucets still account for more than 80% of faucet sales and are popular with builders. These faucets are basic and have a single handle that controls temperature and flow. These are available with a side sprayer which is much less expensive than pull down sprayer faucets. They also allow you to have a sprayer with a vintage looking faucet.

Two handle faucets

Two-handle faucets (one hot and one cold) are not as popular as single-handle faucets because they are not as easy to use. They have a classic look that makes a strong fashion statement in Victorian and other period-style kitchens.

touch taps

Touch faucets are fantastic and are rapidly growing in popularity. These hands-free kitchen faucets turn on and off with just a light touch of a hand or arm. These faucets are becoming a favorite in kitchens “aged in place” or with people with disabilities. These are wonderful additions to any food prep sink because they are so easy to light with hands covered in batter or flour. They are also useful for a benchtop potting sink.

wall mounted kitchen faucets

As you might guess, these are attached to the wall above the sink. Often seen with farm sinks and sometimes boat sinks. These faucets are becoming more popular since deck or farmhouse sinks have found great success in almost every style of kitchen. Please note that when using a wall mounted faucet, the water supply must extend to the wall above the sink.

Norway between reality and thoughts

I woke up in the morning one day with the phone ringing, I put my phone to talk and it was a strange number, but immediately I recognized the voice, I was really happy when I heard it because it was the voice of my best Norwegian. friend Mr. Lief, he is older than me but he is such a nice and funny guy I liked him very much, we worked together for 2 years before in Germany in such a famous restaurant in Berlin, I worked as a food and beverage manager, he worked there as chef, came back home and found a job in a big hotel in Oslo that’s because I was at the end of the contract term in Germany, I intended not to renew it again because I wasn’t completely satisfied with the salary

So in the last call with Mr. Lief, I asked him to find me a job in Norway, he promised that he would.

After a while and that day he called me again to tell me that he had found me a job and asked me to come to Norway as soon as possible for an interview. Of course it was great news to get such a job, especially I have never been to Norway before, I also like moving to new countries and getting work for new adventurers, I thanked you very much for your favor.

I talked to my family about this new job, they agreed to move in with me there and it was really cool too, so we started collecting our luggage, looking for plane tickets and since I’m European I can move in with my family fast. and easily to all countries in Europe.

Did you know? I started my trip to Norway and I went there too I got my job but at first I lived with a question in my mind that confused me, before I heard about Norway the income of the normal person is so high and it is such an expensive country and it was very interesting for me to see and know how those Norwegians live in such a high standard of living, I wondered if Norwegians live in such a high level because they live in their country and it is a rich country, but what about foreigners there how do they live ?

It was interesting to find the answer to this question, so at work I mixed with foreigners and asked how they live in Norway. It was a big surprise!! when I realized for them that life is so easy and not expensive at all.

The reality that I found in Norway, all people can live without a big budget, not as I imagined before, living there is not expensive at all!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE IS NOT EXPENSIVE AT ALL?

#Not expensive for food and meals.

About 1 million foreigners and of different nationalities live in Norway, the salary of those people is different, so the budget for each one is also different, so when you enter the Super Market to buy food, you find different products, one expensive and one cheap, there. they have two companies one of them is called FIRST PRICE they sell all products so cheap from bread to meat they sell it at cheap prices for example you can find the price of bread it costs around 40.00 KOR is around $4.00 you can find bread for those companies with 7.00 KOR less than $1 and do the same for all products.

By the way, KORON is the name of the local currency in Norway and around 10.00 KOR is equal to $1.00.

Also, if you want to buy hamburgers from Macdonalds as a fast food, it’s less than $1.00.

#It is not expensive to buy clothes and shoes.

In Norway in the public places of each city or town you must find a mall or shopping center and it is full of different clothing and shoe stores and there you can find everything in such high quality with brands and at affordable prices, and from time to time you can go to walk there and find great discounts everywhere so you can buy three pieces of any type of clothing, such as pants or t-shirts, buy three and pay only two pieces and get the third free. such discounts throughout the year in winter, in summer and in all cities in Norway.

#It is not expensive to get public transport.

In Norway, the normal price of a bus, metro and tram ticket is 50.00 KOR, about 5.00 USD per ticket.

and there, if you bought a bus ticket, you can also use it when you take a subway or a tram, but it has a limited time of about 30 minutes, you can use it after 30 minutes, it will expire.

From time to time, you can get a lot of discounts from such tickets and cheap offers, for example, in the summer, you can buy the bus card for the whole summer at such a cheap price and the summer period is about 3 months. Also bus drivers can give you cheap deals when you buy a ticket, they can offer a weekly ticket so cheap that you can buy it and use it for the whole week, of course you will save your money.

By the way, here I tell you the price of the internal bus of each city, you can only pay 50.00 KOR to get a ticket and from time to time they have offers for passengers as I mentioned before. But if you wanted to move to another city, maybe you would travel there by train or by bus, it has other fixed prices that are not cheap and without discounts, for example if you wanted to travel from Oslo to Sandfjord by train or by bus, it has the same expenses, the ticket costs about 300 KOR.

My advice do not think about booking a TAXI there because it really is very expensive.

Dial only with public transport is cheaper than Taxi and always have offers and discounts save a lot for you.

If you would like to have a car there, amm, buying a car in Norway is also cheap, if you would like to buy a used car up to 2005 model, it is cheap after that, it will be more expensive depending on the condition of the cars.

Of course, if it is not necessary to buy a car in Norway, it is a big mistake, why?

1- They have many taxes plus car insurance must be paid every year and this system is used throughout Europe, not only in Norway.

2-They have the roads there not free, when you drive in each city you find several places that have doors with cameras to take a photo for the number of your car, every time you drive to go to the city you must pay with bills I come to the address from your house after a while but it’s free when you go out in your car but it’s so bad I didn’t like it plus I never saw this system in Germany or Romania or Poland or even Sweden so if the car is not needed for you ie if you don’t use it for your work there or if you live alone without family it is better to get a public transport this is my opinion just buy and use a car for your family or work because in such case you can cover all the expenses you need.

3-Maybe you ask me about benzene there, yes it is very expensive, but I also think that the price of benzene is high all over the world, so it doesn’t matter if you get a car in Norway or not.

By the way, in Norway you can get the cheapest price of benzene only on Sunday you can go to any benzene station to buy cheaper.

4-Keep in mind that car repair there also costs a lot for spare parts, so be careful and think about that before you buy a car.

#NoCaro When You Hire an Apartment or a House.

In Norway, if you want to rent a flat, the price of a normal flat is not that high, and there is not much price difference from one city to another. Prices in Oslo As in another city, the price is about $750 per month + Electricity and water, Therefore, you need to deposit a month or maybe more according to your agreement with the owner of the apartment, all apartments have a luxury lifestyle. Big apartments, busy with everything you need just get the key to the apartment, go buy your products, put it in the fridge or in the kitchen, turn on the TV or go to sleep.

But maybe when you look at the $750 price tag you say oh! It’s so much, people from Eastern Europe go there to work, they go in groups of 3 to 4 people to rent a flat and live together, so they share the price of the monthly rent among themselves and then they also live in a luxury flat with such a cheap price.

Some people may read this article and say that I only wrote about living in Norway, but for them they will only go as tourists, does this article tell them something useful?

YES because we have several coincident points, we already talked about that, such as food, clothing, transportation, taxi and, of course, this information can also help the tourist.

Only the tourist will not go to live in an apartment or house because the rental system in Norway does not allow renting an apartment for one or two weeks and if he finds it it will cost him so much money for this period, the rental system there is annual and A Sometimes you can make contracts for 5 years, so I think that tourists will never go to live in a flat and surely they will have reserved the hotel before traveling.

The hotel prices in Norway are a bit expensive, but I think that if the tourist decides to go to Norway for a sightseeing tour, he will be able to find a suitable booking hotel and he will be able to know the prices from the Internet and choose the best one for his budget.

The writer of this article lived and worked in Norway for more than 3 years, learned the Norwegian language, speaks and writes it fluently, moved for work to many cities in hotel branches throughout Norway, in Oslo, Tonsberg and Sandfjord. Due to family conditions he had to temporarily finish his job and return home.

By the way, he liked Norway very much and will soon return to work and live.
