P90X workouts are tough. But I tell everyone I train that diet, nutrition, and supplements give people the results they want. Workouts make you fit on the inside, your nutrition makes you look fit on the outside.

What I did was identify a group of “staples” that I knew by eating and trading on a daily basis would allow me to reach those proportions. I settled on an average of 1900 calories per day for Phase 1 (the first 30 days) and then ate combinations of these “staples”, taking into account my proportions and calories throughout the day. As I approached the end of the day, if my ratios were off, I looked for a food that would result in a positive adjustment.

By the time Phase 2 arrived (mid-30 days), it was being so successful that I was hesitant to change the ratios to 40/40/20, as Beachbody recommended. So, I decided to keep the 50/30/20 ratios that I had been doing, but add extra calories to further boost my workouts and help me stay anabolic. I averaged 2,400 calories per day during Phase 2.

Also, watch out for the buns! Buns, especially white flour ones, can be a disaster for a seemingly healthy chicken sandwich. What I would do is take the meat out of the sandwich, toss the bun, and replace it with a thin Oroweat sandwich. Notice the difference: Arby’s Large Roast Beef Sandwich as is: 590 calories, 46 grams of protein, 45 grams of carbohydrates, and 25 grams of fat. Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich with a Thin Oroweat Sandwich: 440 calories, 43 grams of protein, 22 grams of carbohydrates, and 21 grams of fat. Big difference!

Know everything about deodorants and antiperspirants

Almost everyone uses deodorants and antiperspirants. But we rarely know what these products contain and how to make them work for us. Here is a guide to the chemicals found in deodorants and antiperspirants, how they work, and their effects on our skin.

Sweating is a natural body process in which the body maintains normal temperature and health by eliminating toxins and balancing the salt level. Through our skin, we sweat about one or two pints on average. During exercise, we tend to perspire more while during an adrenaline rush, such as worry or fear, we also tend to perspire. Sweat is almost odorless when fresh, however, as it tends to stay on the skin longer, it develops a peculiar smell of sweat that can be quite unpleasant. This is due to the growth of bacteria in warm areas like armpits, groynes, and the like.

Difference between deodorants and antiperspirants

Deodorants and antiperspirants are two different products to combat perspiration. Although many people confuse between the two, both products work differently.

Deodorants stop the growth of bacteria in sweat and neutralize it, making it smell good. Antiperspirants, on the other hand, stop the perspiration or sweating process.

While naturally scented herbs and plants were used in ancient times as body perfumes, deodorants use harsh chemicals today to mask odor. The stronger the odor, the stronger the chemical formulation of the deodorant.

Antiperspirants are based on the notion that if there is no sweat, there will be no odor. Generally made from ingredients such as aluminum chloride, aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrate, and aluminum hydrochloride, antiperspirants tend to temporarily block sweat ducts with these aluminum salts.

Natural alternative to chemical deodorants

A natural mineral like potassium alum is one of the best natural and organic deodorants you can use. Although it contains some aluminum, its molecules are too large to penetrate the pores of the skin and therefore the ingredient remains on the surface of the skin. However, it does not block skin pores or cause skin irritation like other aluminum salts mentioned above. Therefore, it is considered safe for personal use.

Although the ingredient is not a potent antibacterial, potassium alum acts as a coagulant, binding with other protein nutrients and reducing the ability of bacteria to grow.

Another natural ingredient that can be used as a deodorant is zinc ricinolate. Extracted from castor oil seeds, this ingredient does not block skin pores and inhibits skin perspiration. However, it eliminates the odor produced by bacterial growth by decomposing them so that the odor is not released into the atmosphere.

Pharaoh Hound dog health, grooming and living conditions issues

Health problems. The Pharaoh’s Hound, to this day, remains the most common in Malta. Apparently, they are not profitable dogs to breed. As a result of this, dogs do not suffer from serious genetic disorders. In the past, unscrupulous dog breeders were known to take shortcuts, although reputable breeders and kennel clubs have tried to stifle these people’s efforts. These dogs still receive a variety of tests to ensure healthy breeding, but reputable dog breeders shouldn’t be a problem. However, because their ears are large and quite thin, they can suffer in cold climates, remember that their natural habitat is Malta.

Cleanliness. As small breed dogs, Pharaoh Hound dogs are ideal for people who do not have time to dedicate to grooming. A simple brushing every now and then and cleaning dirty areas with a damp cloth is pretty much all the Pharaoh Hound requires. They have somewhat sensitive skin and the use of strong shampoos or detergents is not recommended, a dry shampoo is probably the best answer.

Life conditions. Provided Pharaoh Hounds are introduced at a very young age, they will socialize well with other animals, although care must be taken with smaller pets due to the strong hunting instinct of dogs. They are happy with children and enjoy playing, together with the best. They are better suited to a more experienced owner than to having as their first dog. Remember that the dog is very fast and very active when not restrained, while playing it should be kept in a fairly safe area, and a well fenced garden should be suitable for this. They are not really suited to apartment living and should always be worn laced when outdoors in public.

How to sell a home without a real estate agent: FSBO

Not everyone has the luxury of placing their residence on the open market and waiting patiently for months to execute the deal. The common process when listing your property on the open market will be:

Question / Interview with many real estate professionals
Authorize a listing contract with a person to list your home for an exact period of time (typically a 6-month listing)
Handle a variety of open houses
Wait for offers and then negotiate with potential buyers
Set up home inspections, reports and also other disclosures to complete
Sign contracts to close the escrow.

For anyone who is lucky, the process can take between six and eight weeks. If an offer doesn’t go through, or maybe your home just doesn’t get many offers, you could end up waiting six months or even longer. Alternatively, instead of all that inconvenience, having to pay five percent or more in commissions and settlement costs, let’s review how to sell a home without a realtor.

For sale by owner (FSBO)

A basic strategy for marketing your property without a real estate professional is “Sale by Owner” or FSBO for short. The common way people try to market their property in this way is to put up some signs on your lawn or perhaps in your neighborhood newspapers and then wait for people to arrive. In lieu of this non-aggressive and often unsuccessful strategy, let’s take a quick look at several other methods to market your home and sell it quickly. It all starts with better promotion. Instead of making the minimum amount, you need to do a lot to make the home stand out in a crowded housing market. Some things we recommend are:

Tell all of your close neighbors that you are selling your home and ask if they know anyone who is looking. (Bonus: you can easily offer referral fees to bind your neighbors)
The first opinion can be everything, so fix the front of your property. It is commonly known as “curb appeal.” If it doesn’t look good when potential buyers are around it, they may not want to enter the home.
Getting superior quality photos can make a big difference; hire or just take them yourself, but make sure your property is beautifully decorated. Which means no wide open toilet seats, no trash, made beds, pushed chairs, etc.
Post sandwich panel signs along with balloons or other eye-catching signs advertising your property at active intersections in your community.

After a little preparation, a few dollars plus some FSBO home advertising has a significantly higher chance of selling.

Craigslist

Craigslist turns out to be a completely crucial resource for everyone who is going to sell their home without resorting to a real estate agent. Be sure to use descriptions of your residence that make it sound as pleasant as possible. Discuss the area: are there parks, local community facilities, schools, places of worship, or other facilities nearby? What about your specific community / subdivision? Are the roads lined with trees, are there hills, any kind of views? Also, use those high-quality photos as a way to attract buyers. The determination to view your residence or not will be made entirely in your descriptions along with photographs of your residence.

Open houses

Open houses are a good way to attract potential buyers (just check with any real estate professional). It should help potential buyers feel as much at home as possible. You should definitely clean up any clutter, garbage, or toys and games. Some other ideas might be to have the fireplace lit when it’s cold outside, make lots of cookies to give the house a nice scent, set the table for dinner, and possibly fire up the game if the local sports team is active. The secret is for people to imagine themselves living there, so consider getting rid of any personal trinkets and family photos. Be sure to promote your open house early and often by using signs near your neighborhood, Craigslist, sharing with your neighbors, and anything else that draws people to your home. One last tip: get ankle boots that can cover people’s boots and shoes so they don’t track dirt and grime across your immaculately clean property!

Investors

The final point, but certainly not the last, is investors. If you have to sell your home quickly, have a few problem areas that need to be remedied, or you may not want to deal with any of the above problems, call a nearby investor. These people are dedicated to acquiring buildings without resorting to a real estate agent.
