Perseverance, the great substitute for talent

Too often perseverance, the great substitute for talent, is overlooked. Many people fail to achieve their goal, not because they are not talented, but because they are not disciplined. The wonderful news is that you can clearly be good at anything you put your mind to. It just won’t be easy or fast.

Do you believe in yourself? Are you willing to keep moving forward, even when the going gets tough? Do you feel that you deserve a better tomorrow? Can you stick with your goal long enough to be great?

You must realize that perseverance to put into work is what will separate you from others. Therefore, you must see yourself right now as malleable, capable of becoming whatever you want to be. And if you can find within yourself the discipline to stay long enough, you can really become extraordinary.

Everyone looks at a person with innate talent as if they have something magical. They want to be like them. But this gift is not something that is often beneficial because no matter what talent or gift someone has, it is only the beginning.

“Perseverance is a great substitute for talent.” – Steve Martin

Perseverance and talent

Even if someone has the talent or gets an early victory; And that! If that person leaves you, you have more perseverance, more courage, work harder than them; then you will get over them in a long enough time. Determination is a great substitute for becoming an expert.

And the only thing I can guarantee is that the talent can be surpassed by someone else. So unless you become great for your heart and soul, someone else will. When you don’t take days off, but rather dedicate yourself to it as if your life depended on it; You are on your way. Only when you act like this do you have a chance to achieve greatness.

“The pressure can break pipes, but it can also produce diamonds.” – Robert Horry

Therefore, you must want things to be difficult and not seek the easy life. Also, you can’t wait, wait, or pray that you will discover some hidden talent within you that will make things easier for you. It sounds crazy, but instead go the hard way and keep perseverance on your ally.

Have enough perseverance

By doing so, it will turn you into something great. Because when it’s easy, you don’t really work for it, you don’t push. Therefore, you are outdone by the other person, who has to give it his all. They are willing to give blood, sweat and tears to become what they want it to be.

Also, they are so angry and motivated that they were never given any talents or anything. And with that chip on their shoulders, they are determined to become whatever they set out to do. Remember ‘Rocky’. So whether you have the talent or not, the only thing that matters is: will you have enough perseverance?

“The world breaks everyone, and then many are stronger in the broken places.” – Ernest Hemingway

Overcoming barriers

But then why not all of them? It may depend on the strategies you use. There is nothing that is happening to you that you cannot overcome. If you turn inward, I’m sure you can find a reason to be persistent, overcome the barrier in your path, and put those pieces back together. I’ve done it so many times in my life, so you can too.

However, it is literally all up to you if you are going to sit around and wallow. ‘What happened’ happened and there is no way to retract it. But how you respond is a choice. Or you face adversity by falling apart, becoming weaker in the areas that were broken. Or you meet fire with fire tying and fixing the difficulty with perseverance until it becomes a source that literally makes you stronger.

And it is a choice that only you can make. But remember that if you complain, no one has the desire to help you. Yes, you may have many reasons to protest in your life or be upset about things that happened to you. But the sinister thing about excuses is that they are valid.

Learn to love yourself

There are millions of reasons why you may give up or not even try. And just for that fight that broke you, you should be able to sit back and cry. It is your right, so you have every reason to do so. And some people may not even think less of you.

But here’s the truth; As you get weaker or stronger in the places that were broken, you have a choice of how to react in the future. Talent or not, the great news is that the best thing you can do to have perseverance and be stronger is that you must love yourself.

And loving yourself is practice. For years, I thought it was a feeling I had when I achieve success or gain wealth. I thought that when I turned around one day, it would be like “There it is; the spark of love and joy for me.” But the reality is that this is not how it works.

Talent is no guarantee

Plus, it doesn’t matter how far you’ve come or what accomplishments you have in your review mirror. If you fall prey to that, your past will always be bigger than your future. You must realize that your future must always be bigger than your past.

So the hardest worker in the room is always going to beat the talented guy who doesn’t work hard. In the end, almost every time, perseverance always wins. Talent doesn’t guarantee you anything in this world. And the same goes for a good education.

And the world is littered with smart people who never accomplished anything significant. It’s full of talented people who never make it. And it’s full of young people with expensive education who are outmatched by high school dropouts.

Perseverance always beats talent

Talent will get you nowhere if you don’t work for it, adding perseverance and knowledge to it. It won’t get you anywhere if you don’t have a heart. And it’s nothing if you don’t have the guts. The one who is most hungry to reach the top will always arrive before the talented one.

And yes, maybe not right away, but in the end, determined people always succeed. Perseverance, courage, courage, and hard work are the ingredients that make you a winner. So if you dedicate yourself more, you will succeed better than anyone. Anyway, how can you beat the guy who will do whatever it takes?

It can not! Perseverance is a great substitute for talent. It is always best when the talent thinks it is too good to persevere and work. Yes, being talented can be a blessing, but it can also be a curse. It can make you think that you don’t need to work as hard as the other person. And that is often a mistake.

Perseverance, the great substitute

The reason for this is that the other person moves on. He’s on the hunt, ready to fight for his family, his legacy, everything he wants. So while someone talented is resting, you have to be crazy enough, work, persevere, think big, plan, visualize, believe, attack, move on, and find a way.

If there is no way, make your own way knowing that someone else’s talent doesn’t scare you. Instead, it propels you, it pushes you. Perseverance never lies and therefore your dream never dies. Most people give up on life because they come up with all kinds of excuses why they can’t.

They say they don’t have the proper education, they don’t have any talents or they don’t have the money. But if I have learned something valuable in my life, it is that excuses are for the weak. Many people are conditioned to believe that they are a product of their circumstances. They believe that if they are not born into wealth, they never will be. If they are not born great, they can never become great.

Last thought on talent and perseverance

But if you look, it won’t take you long to find massive success stories of individuals who created their success through seemingly impossible circumstances. There are stories everywhere of someone who came from little education, had no talent, just a relentless desire to succeed. And believe me when I tell you that you can achieve greatness out of nowhere.

So every setback, every failure he had is part of his legacy. It is never too late to start your own story. So, don’t let anything stop you from writing the rest. Don’t back down, win at all costs. You will do it because you have perseverance, which is a great substitute for talent. Now when will you start writing your own success story?
