Facebook Page Posts 04 – Media

In the early days of life online, the world was limited to text-only interactions. But the pace of technological advancement has been staggering in the last 30 years. Now many of us have computers in the palm of our hands that are far superior to early desktop units that squealed and screeched when connected to another computer via a landline phone.

Just a few years ago, watching a video online was frustrating, and posting a 30-second video required a thick manual, ritual sacrifice, and the luck of the gods. Well almost.

According to several studies, a plain text post now gets the least attention. For a post to grab attention, it must at least have an attached image. (A post no longer has to include text—it could just be a still image or even a video clip, but we’ll get there in a few minutes.) That’s why you might see a Facebook post about almost any topic, and attached to it will be a picture of a pet, a sunset, or a tree—something that has nothing to do with the topic of the post. If you can get a person to stop and look at your picture, there’s a chance they’ll also read the text of your post.

The image you add to your post does not have to be a photograph. It can be a graphic, perhaps clip art, with or without text on the image itself. It could also be all text, stylized in one or more interesting typefaces; you will often see those created for quotes. Regardless of the type of image you attach, try to make it directly related to your post. If you advertise that your business now sells blue widgets, please post an image of a blue widget. Now taking appointments for plumbing visits? Show your workers in their best uniforms smiling as they climb out of a truck with your company logo on the side.

Between the still image and a full-motion video is the “animated image,” often an image in the GIF (graphics interchange format) format. These are still images arranged in “loops” of a few seconds in length, where the subject is often funny and/or shocking. The use of GIFs has changed dramatically in recent years, and I could write an entire dissertation on their use in personal posts. For now, we’ll just say that Facebook considers GIFs as a still image category, and they’re attached the same way.

As I said a few minutes ago, your posts no longer need to include any text. If you have what I call a standalone image, with an image, explanatory text, and connection information, post it alone. FB also allows you to upload video clips, and the same goes for video posts. If you have raw footage that you’ve shot on your phone, you’ll probably want to add text that explains the context of the video and add any comments you feel are necessary. From you can post a fully produced video, complete with an intro, end credits, and background music. Producing video clips for your business is an entirely different matter. I address that in another series of articles.

The only type of media that FB does not currently allow in posts is standalone audio. So if you have an audio podcast, or an audio recording of a book or article you’ve written, you’ll need to convert it to a video clip in order to upload it. Again, the details of this are beyond the scope of this article, but “video” can be as simple as a single still image (or multiple linked images) occupying the image track, while the audio track plays. . You can find these types of videos on YouTube, often created by local fans for songs where there is no video recording of the artist.

Currently, the maximum file size for a video uploaded to Facebook is 1.75 GB, which in HD format is a running time of around 45 minutes. However, you should keep video posts as short as possible. You are pushing it with videos longer than 30 seconds. Only people who surf FB to relieve boredom will watch videos longer than a minute, and you better have completely unique content that people feel will change their lives if you post a video longer than 5 minutes.

Regardless of the media you use, any post you make on Facebook or anywhere else needs to have a specific intent – a set goal that you want to achieve. The message should be crafted using the principles of immediacy and scarcity where appropriate. Every time your post tries to sell, or asks a question, provide the reader with the necessary contact information or link. In almost every post, you need to tell the reader exactly what you expect them to do once they’ve read the post, and give them the tools they need to do it.

The company used individual sales consultants to distribute and market its products. Originally, the company hired some sales consultants to distribute cosmetic products in Swedish homes. Currently, the company has business advisors spread across all the continents of the world. Many people also make a living selling Oriflame products online to customers in different parts of the world.

The number of cosmetic products manufactured by this company is almost a thousand. Every year the company introduces dozens of new products that are designed to meet the changing needs of consumers. Products manufactured by Oriflame are classified into six main groups. They are:

Skin Care – Most Oriflame products fall under this category. This is the main product category of the cosmetic firm. Type 2 diabetes: the five most harmful refined carbohydrates

Most of the carbohydrate foods consumed today are highly refined and processed. Most of it is plain sugar, but not just table sugar; corn syrup, sweet drinks and different kinds of candies. Nutrients and fiber have usually been removed as well. Not all carbs are bad for you, but the following are ranked as the worst of the worst…

1. Cakes. While pastries serve as a tasty treat; cakes, muffins, doughnuts, and even bagels can cause significant blood sugar problems. These refined carbohydrates can cause a sudden spike. As our body’s blood sugar level rises, the pancreas begins to produce insulin to help cells absorb blood sugar. However, when we consume excessive amounts of refined carbohydrates, we can become insensitive to insulin and it can become less effective in lowering blood sugar levels, leading to type 2 diabetes.

It is best to avoid pastries as they are very high in sugar. If you miss your favorite treat, treat yourself to a homemade stevia treat every now and then and this should help curb any cravings. You can also make a low-sugar chocolate “shake” with unsweetened whole coconut milk, raw cacao powder, and half a frozen banana. This can do the trick to satisfy your sweet tooth.

2. Bread. Bread, especially white bread, can cause a spike and then a drop in blood sugar. The bread is also known to contain high fructose corn syrup which can increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease. It is best to avoid bread and opt for healthier options such as gluten-free wraps made with cassava or almond flour. You can also use lettuce leaves instead of bread when making sandwiches to help prevent blood sugar imbalances.

3. Packaged snacks. Packaged snacks tend to be high in refined carbohydrates. Foods like crackers, cookies, and even granola bars contain a lot of added sugar. Instead of choosing packaged snacks, choose whole foods like nuts, seeds, half an avocado, along with a piece of fresh fruit.

4. Frozen meals. Frozen meals are not only known to contain excessive amounts of salt, but are also made with refined carbohydrates like white pasta or white rice. Skip the freezer meals and do your best to make as much of your food as possible! This way, you’ll know exactly what’s in what you’re eating.

5. cereals. Breakfast cereals often contain high levels of added sugar. Instead of cereal, choose a whole grain option like rolled oats combined with a healthy fat like almond butter to help stabilize blood sugar.

Refined carbohydrates can be detrimental to our overall health and can make it difficult to balance blood sugar levels. Instead of fancy options, try adding some of the healthy swaps. You’d be surprised how much better you feel both physically and mentally with stabilized blood sugar!

Movie Review – Answers to Nothing (2011) (R)

Los Angeles Stories

I can’t help but believe that somewhere inside answers to nothing It’s the big movie I really wanted it to be. Told as a series of interwoven subplots held together by a single event, it touches on a number of fascinating and compelling themes, including infidelity, recovery, loss, bigotry, love, faith, and strength of character. It features a decent cast, headlined by Dane Cook in his first dramatic role since 2007’s delicious crime thriller. mr brooks. It definitely had all the right ingredients. Unfortunately, the film falls victim to indecisive editing, character overload, implausible dramatic situations, and surprisingly unconvincing dialogue. All of this rests squarely on the shoulders of director Matthew Leutwyler, who is also a co-writer and editor.

Taking place in Los Angeles, we meet a plethora of characters whose lives are affected in some way by the disappearance of a young girl. There’s Frankie, the detective assigned to the case (Julie Benz); though she has yet to prove it, she seems convinced that the girl’s neighbor, Beckworth (Greg Germann), is responsible for her disappearance. In fact, she gives off creepy vibes in every scene she’s in. She even makes the rudely flippant gesture of taking Frankie out to dinner during her interrogation. Frankie’s friend, the lawyer Kate (Elizabeth Mitchell), is trying to get pregnant through in vitro fertilization. She wants a baby so badly that at first she doesn’t see it and then she turns a blind eye to the infidelity of her husband, a therapist named Ryan (Cook). She’s been dating a budding rock singer named Tara (Aja Volkman), who gets gigs but hasn’t gotten her big break yet.

Ryan doesn’t believe in anything, least of all in love. He is angry with his father for abandoning his mother and not telling him the truth. Her mother, Marylin (Barbara Hershey), is without a doubt the happiest person in the entire movie, even though it’s obvious that she gets by on nothing more than blind faith. She tried to drive this into Ryan by repeatedly telling him the very romantic story of how his grandparents met during World War II. Whether or not it happened the way she tells it, no one knows for sure. I’m not criticizing her for being like that; She would take happy lies over sad realities any day of the week and twice on Sundays. She even makes a nice point about how her love for Ryan lacks empirical evidence. The only way he knows that she loves him is because he believes her when she tells him.

Now we branch out further into subplots that are either (a) so loosely related to the child abduction subplot that they seem like they belong in another movie, or (b) are so poorly developed that they shouldn’t have been included in the first place. Kate’s current client is a recovering alcoholic named Drew (Miranda Bailey), who is fighting his parents for custody of his brother, Erik (Vincent Ventresca), a former runner who is now a vegetable. He seeks redemption by entering her and Erik in the Los Angeles Marathon and training hard for it. Meanwhile, we learn that Frankie is a single mom. In her only significant scene, Frankie’s teenage daughter (Karley Scott Collins) has a highly staged conversation with her teacher about Martin Luther King. The teacher, Carter (Mark Kelly), spends most of his time playing fantasy games on the Internet. Also, for reasons only known to the filmmakers, he has become obsessed with the missing girl case.

Then there’s Ryan’s patient, a self-loathing black woman named Allegra (Kali Hawk). As a television writer, she soon meets and begins dating a white man named Evan (Zach Gilford), who sits in a booth and balances out the sound of Tara’s band. Something might have played out here if it hadn’t just been a subplot. It deserved a movie of its own. As it is, Evan is essentially a non-entity, and the root of Allegra’s problems, including an extensive and arbitrary list of things he hates, remains undiscovered. Finally, there’s Carter’s neighbor, Jerry (Erik Palladino), who is introduced when he pulls Tara over for speeding. Around his time, we see him scanning obituaries and attending very specific funerals.

Inevitably, some will compare this film to that of Paul Haggis. Crash, in which Los Angeles is the setting for several intertwined stories that address social issues. Unlike this Oscar-winning masterpiece, answers to nothing it’s terribly out of focus. He spends too much time on certain subplots, not enough on others, and builds on them all with the idea that there really are no answers to anything. Certain scenes seem to have been included for no greater purpose than to create drama, most notably an unprovoked and unbelievable confrontation between Carter and Beckworth at the end of the film. Many passages of dialogue, including Marilyn’s observations on faith and love, sound less like flowing stage conversations and more like lectures from a speech and debate class. It always saddens me when a good idea is ruined by poor execution.

Applications of Calculation in Real Estate Development

Calculus has many real-world uses and applications in the physical sciences, computer science, economics, business, and medicine. I will briefly refer to some of these uses and applications in the real estate industry.

Let’s start by using some calculation examples in speculative real estate development (ie new home construction). Logically, a new home builder wants to make a profit after completing each home in a new home community. This builder will also need to be able to (hopefully) maintain a positive cash flow during the construction process of each home, or each phase of the home’s development. There are many factors that go into calculating a profit. For example, we already know that the profit formula is: P = R – Cthat is, the gain (P) is equal to income (R.) minus the cost (against). Although this main formula is very simple, there are many variables that can influence this formula. For example, low cost (against), there are many different cost variables, such as the cost of construction materials, labor costs, real estate maintenance costs prior to purchase, utility costs, and premium costs. insurance during the construction phase. These are some of the many costs to factor into the formula mentioned above. Low income (R.), variables such as the home’s base sale price, additional improvements or additions to the home (security system, surround sound system, granite countertops, etc.) could be included. Just plugging all these different variables into itself can be a daunting task. However, this is further complicated if the rate of change is non-linear, which requires us to adjust our calculations because the rate of change of one or all of these variables is in the shape of a curve (i.e., exponential rate of change). ? This is an area where calculus comes into play.

Let’s say last month we sold 50 homes with an average sales price of $500,000. Without taking other factors into account, our revenues (R.) is the price ($500,000) per x (50 homes sold) which equals $25,000,000. Let’s assume that the total cost to build the 50 houses was $23,500,000; so the gain (P) is 25,000,000 – $23,500,000 which equals $1,500,000. Now, knowing these numbers, your boss has asked you to maximize profit for the next month. How do you do this? What price can you put?

As a simple example of this, let’s first calculate the marginal gain in terms of x to build a house in a new residential community. We know that the income (R.) is equal to the demand equation (p) times units sold (x). We write the equation as

R = pixels.

Suppose we have determined that the demand equation for selling a house in this community is

p = $1,000,000 – x/10.

With $1,000,000 you know you won’t sell any houses. Now, the cost equation (against) is

$300,000 + $18,000x ($175,000 in fixed costs of materials and $10,000 per house sold + $125,000 in fixed costs of labor and $8,000 per house).

From this we can calculate the marginal benefit in terms of x (units sold), then use the marginal profit to calculate the price we should charge to maximize profit. So the income is

R. = pixels = ($1,000,000 – x/10) * (x) = $1,000,000xx^2/10.

Therefore, the profit is

P = CR = ($1,000,000xx^2/10) – ($300,000 + $18,000x) = 982,000x – (x^2/10) – $300,000.

From this we can calculate the marginal benefit by taking the derivative of the benefit

dp/dx = 982,000 – (x/5)

To calculate the maximum profit, we set the marginal profit equal to zero and solve

982,000 – (x/5) = 0

x = 4910000.

we plug x Go back to the demand function and get the following:

p = $1,000,000 – (4910000)/10 = $509,000.

So the price we need to set to get the maximum profit for each house we sell should be $509,000. The following month, he sells 50 more houses under the new pricing structure, earning a net profit increase of $450,000 from the previous month. Great job!

Now, for the next month, your boss is asking you, the community developer, to find a way to reduce home construction costs. You already know that the cost equation (against) was:

$300,000 + $18,000x ($175,000 in fixed costs of materials and $10,000 per house sold + $125,000 in fixed costs of labor and $8,000 per house).

After astute negotiations with his construction vendors, he was able to reduce fixed material costs to $150,000 and $9,000 per house, and reduce labor costs to $110,000 and $7,000 per house. As a result, his cost equation (against) has changed to

against = $260,000 + $16,000x.

Due to these changes, you will need to recalculate the base benefit

P = CR = ($1,000,000xx^2/10) – ($260,000 + $16,000x) = 984,000x – (x^2/10) – $260,000.

From this we can calculate the new marginal gain by taking the derivative of the new calculated gain

dp/dx = 984,000 – (x/5).

To calculate the maximum profit, we set the marginal profit equal to zero and solve

984,000 – (x/5) = 0

x = 4920000.

we plug x Go back to the demand function and get the following:

p = $1,000,000 – (4920000)/10 = $508,000.

So the price we need to set to get the new maximum profit for each house we sell should be $508,000. Now, even though we lowered the sales price from $509,000 to $508,000, and we still sell 50 units as in the previous two months, our profit has still increased because we cut costs to the tune of $140,000. We can find out by calculating the difference between the first P = R – C and the second P = R – C which contains the new cost equation.

1st P = CR = ($1,000,000xx^2/10) – ($300,000 + $18,000x) = 982,000x – (x^2/10) – $300,000 = 48,799,750

2nd P = CR = ($1,000,000xx^2/10) – ($260,000 + $16,000x) = 984,000x – (x^2/10) – $260,000 = 48,939,750

Taking the second profit minus the first profit, you can see a difference (increase) of $140,000 in profit. Thus, by reducing home construction costs, you can make the company even more profitable.

Let’s recap. By simply applying the demand function, marginal profit, and maximum profit from the calculation, and nothing else, he was able to help his company increase its monthly profit from the ABC Home Community project by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Through a little negotiation with his construction suppliers and labor leaders, he was able to reduce his costs and through a simple readjustment of the cost equation (against), you could quickly see that by cutting costs, you increased profit once again, even after adjusting your maximum profit by lowering the selling price by $1,000 per unit. This is an example of the wonder of calculus when applied to real world problems.

California Labor Laws and the Domestic Worker Bill of Rights Movement

In the fall of 2010, New York passed the first bill of rights for domestic workers, giving domestic workers the same benefits and rights that many other workers have had for years. Passage of this law marked a major victory for domestic worker rights activists and may have paved the way for one of California’s newer labor laws now under consideration. Although the bill has yet to be officially introduced in the state legislation process, there is a growing movement in the state to support it.

California employment laws have long been known to favor employees, often providing them with more benefits and flexibility than other states. Consider the California Family Rights Act, which, among other things, gives employees more lenient leave provisions than the Family and Medical Leave Act. So it’s no surprise that the state was quick to follow New York’s footsteps in its work to give domestic workers strong rights and protections.

So what exactly are the legal aspects of the proposed bill of rights? Well, those activists and labor rights groups that lobby for such legislation appear to have largely modeled it on current New York law. The campaign for the California bill recommends some very basic but essential rights for these workers.

  1. The right to cook their own food and receive at least five hours of uninterrupted sleep. These rights are important because many workers live in their workplace, and because of this, some have lost the ability to make decisions for themselves regarding these basic human functions.
  2. Another right on the list is the right to receive paid sick and vacation leave, as well as overtime pay. This right aligns with most rights other employees receive. Domestic workers are especially abused with regard to overtime pay, with many working more than forty hours a week for standard rates.
  3. Finally, the right to a three week notice prior to termination is included in this bill to protect your source of income and your home. Because many workers live where they work, a sudden layoff could also take away their shelter. This protection would allow them some time to look for other places to live and other jobs.

These are just a few of the key rights listed in the proposed bill; to see all the proposed rights, see the National Domestic Workers Alliance’s campaign for the bill.

The legal consequences of this would essentially force employers of domestic workers to respect these rights or else face lawsuits from employees whose rights were infringed. However, despite the typically one-sided employee labor laws in California, it is not yet known whether or not this law will actually make it through the legislative process. Therefore, there could still be a long way to go for its defenders.

What services do plumbers provide?

As we all know, a plumber is one who works in lead, copper, adjusts, repairs pipes for the transport of water, gas or drainage. He provides us with many services. His services can be understood by the word “plumbing” which describes all his services. Plumbers not only work with water, sewage, and venting, but also make connections for gas, pipes, and in some cases, steam.

A service plumber can provide different services that may include repairing septic lines, tanks, and emptying septic tanks. Also repairs cracks in pipes, unblocks pipes, replaces damaged and broken pipes, repairs leaky faucets. Also provides utensils to clean up floods and messes caused by delayed or broken drain lines.

Many plumbers work with the health and safety point of view and systems in mind. Well-trained, professionally licensed plumbers are highly educated and trained to fix a variety of plumbing problems and understand the intricacies and sensitivity of plumbing systems. This allows them to repair the problems to the complete satisfaction of their customers. They have the skills, apparatus, utensils, experience, familiarity, and education to analyze and repair a variety of plumbing problems. They all have knowledge and information on how to increase or decrease water pressure. They can easily fix common annoying problems like water hammer and frozen pipes. They know the mechanism of the flow of water and wastewater that enters and leaves the house.

They know all about how to run the pipes that go from a house or building to the common source, like in a city system or a village system. They can easily find out what and where the problem is occurring. They are also certified to work in the area of commercial and local residential areas. The person who has his own business, such as an office building and a restaurant, knows the value of plumbers. They are a very important element in the drawing, design and construction of homes and buildings. So, from the above we can get to know all the services they provide us. Plumbers provide many services that are very important to the community.

Just because you do plumbing doesn’t make you a plumber because a true plumber is one who has their Journey or Master plumbing license. When you do not have either of these licenses, you are known as an apprentice and must work with a master or travel plumber. This is not just something we decided, but it is actually a code violation to have an unlicensed plumber on any job that requires a permit if not supervised by a Master or Journey plumber.

10 things you can do in a nightclub to attract men

1. Approach the man you find attractive at the bar. Sit next to him and ask him to give you a pen. If he doesn’t have one on him, ask him to find one. When he hands you a pen, he writes on a napkin, “I think you’re cute. Can you handle a girl who can dance better than you?” Whether she knows it or not, she has broken the ice and he will find his creativity refreshing.

2. Dance within a cute guy’s line of sight and wave every once in a while with a seductive smile that lets him know you’re definitely interested in chatting with him.

3. Brush gently with the man you want on your way for a drink at the bar. If you catch his eye, tell him that he looks good and you’re looking forward to seeing what he can do on the dance floor.

4. Sit next to the man you like, have a drink on the rocks, and then take out the ice cube and rub it on his chest and breasts while complaining about being too hot.

5. Place your hand on his shoulder while asking if he minds if you use his big shoulders for support. Men are pleasantly surprised when women do something unexpected like this to them.

6. Never underestimate the power of a suggestive smile from across the bar. Even if you don’t feel like dancing, you can lean against the bar, sip your drink, smile, and let your eyes let him know you love him.

7. Ask if you can buy him a drink. It works the same way when a man offers to buy you a drink. The difference is that he gets the impression that you’re not one of those women who hang around clubs looking for men to buy them drinks.

8. Make eye contact early in the evening and then walk up behind him later and whisper something provocative in his ear.

9. Let your girlfriend play messenger to add some fun to your evening. You are your girlfriend to approach him and tell him that you think he is cute and that you were wondering if he would like to join you.

10. Tell a waiter or waitress to find out what you like to drink and send it to you. Most men take this gesture as a sign that you find them attractive and would like to chat.

How will Arsenal fare in the new EPL season?

It is almost universally accepted that they play the most expansive and attractive brand of football in the English Premier League. However, five years have now gone by without winning a single trophy, despite manager Arsene Wenger’s promise that his team was ready to win a major trophy last season. The loyal fans await that day when there will be an expansion of the Gunners trophy case.

Critics will say that Arsenal have now all but gone backwards officially as a team, and certainly as a major force in the English premier league since 2005. That was the last year the Gunners finished in the top two of the top division despite they were 12 points behind the then champions – Chelsea. Since then they have basically flattered themselves as bona fide title contenders. During that period, they finished fourth in 2006, fourth in 2007, third in 2008, fourth in 2009, and third in 2010.

As most fans are well aware, winning the English Premier League is a tough challenge and it has certainly gotten tougher since the Gunners last won the league. In that time, although Manchester United won the league there twice and Chelsea twice, a number of rookies emerged to challenge the orthodoxy.

Enter Manchester City’s rowdy Old Trafford neighbors and the Gunners’ neighbors from hell, Spurs. Tottenham have gone from being a journeyman to a serious team under the management of Harry Redknapp, who seems to be relishing the chance to manage a club with big ambitions and relatively deep pockets.

Fancy footwork only goes so far. What Arsenal need is not a flashy striker, but some semblance of a backbone that runs through the team. A solid midfielder who can hold the fort while others around him, such as Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, are badly needed and the option available simply isn’t enough for the highest level. Memories of Rooney and Ronaldo and then of Rooney and Nani running through midfield and defending Arsenal in the ensuing Champions League semi-finals still haunt the Emirate faithful. Alexander Hleb, a former Arsenal midfielder, recently joined Birmingham City football club on a season loan. His old team could probably use his services even more.

Arsenal’s squad for the new season consists of the following players: Manuel Almunia, Andrey Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh, Gael Clichy, Pereka Neves Denilson, Vassiriki Abou Diaby, Johan Danon Djourou-Gbadjere, Emmanuel Eboue, Lukasz Fabianski, Cesc Fabregas, Laurent Koscielny, Vito Mannone, Samir Nasri, Tomas Rosicky, Bacary Sagna, Bilong Song, Dimitri Alexandre, Robin Van Persie, Thomas Vermaelen, Sebastien Squillaci.
