Handyman Business Name Ideas

What’s in a name?

Coming up with business name ideas can be really frustrating. Gone are the days of using just your last name and appending “Service Handyman” to the end. If you want to maximize your advertising spend, you need to be online. When it comes to your business name… you have a website to think about. You need to ask yourself some questions. Is my URL going to be too long? Will I have any “keywords” in my name? How will people find me? That last one is the real question, isn’t it?

There are many things to consider before choosing a business name. Business planning is the most important thing you can do, so consider naming your business as part of the planning process and not as a starting point.

If you are using a fictitious business name, you must also file a “DBA” in your state. Before settling on handyman business name ideas, you need to do some homework to make sure you’re not using someone else’s trademarked or unregistered name or something similar. DBA simply means “doing business as”. You can incorporate…let’s say you plan to expand into different areas…and name your company “Smith Enterprises LLC” DBA “Hanks Handyman Co. That way, instead of applying for a new business license for each business…everything all you have to do is file a DBA Smith Enterprises LLC could also sell widgets on the internet DBA…wonderfulwidgets.com

By checking to see if your name is already being used, you can start with a search of your favorite internet search engines like Google or Yahoo. Some states may even have a fictitious name database, so check with your county clerk’s office to see if your desired name is already in use. Another excellent free resource for finding unregistered trademarks is the Thomas registration website at thomasnet.com

Don’t get carried away with the hub here with business name ideas. If your name is Hank, you can call your company “Hank’s Handyman Service”. Keep in mind that it might be harder to sell it when you’re ready to retire, to anyone not named Hank. Using your name can give your business the appearance of a small local service, which is not a bad thing. It doesn’t mean you won’t look professional. If you have a reliable vehicle with a magnetic sign or a van with your logo painted on the side, you can still be a pro.

If your goal is to grow your handyman business as much as possible, don’t compromise on your business name ideas. Here are some points to consider when choosing a name for a service business:

1.Use a first initial that is at the beginning of the alphabet. Finally, your company name will appear in an alphabetical list. It is better to enter at the top of this list than at the bottom. Imagine that you have decided to attend a local trade show with 250 exhibitors. Do you want to be in the top 30 or bottom 30 on that list?

2.Make sure you choose a name that has an Internet domain that is available. Even if you’re not ready to start a website, you can reserve your domain name for around $10 a year. If you plan to have a web presence, consider doing what I have done with this website. I decided to have my site Powered by Site Build It because of all the tools they have that help you choose a name that not only goes with your business, but has “keywords” that will also help your business grow on the internet.

If it’s not there yet, you can go to http://www.Godaddy.com or http://www.Register.com to reserve your domain name now. You can even register three or four names which will give you some flexibility when you’re ready to start your online presence.

3. Avoid using numbers. People won’t remember to use numbers (123) or spell the number (one, two, three).

4.Sound different logical purpose. This may sound next to impossible since the only way to convey what you do is to use the word “Handyman” in your name. Be creative to differentiate yourself from other companies. If you’re determined not to use Handyman on your behalf, think about what you do. Your company does home repairs, home maintenance, and to-do list, etc.

How to sell a house: advice from real estate agents

With the country’s declining real estate market, a home seller can easily sell a house if the price drops. But for others who can’t afford to lower the asking price, it’s better to find other ways to make your home more attractive.

Real estate agents are familiar with industry trends. They are also very knowledgeable about selling homes and choosing the right homes. For this reason, we have created a list of home selling tips from successful real estate agents.

Make the house stand out from the competition

It is very important that the property attracts potential buyers. Home sellers should consider custom layouts or adding a few design touches, such as improving the landscaping or updating the roof and windows. These simple touches can have a significant impact on improving the aesthetics of the home. It is important to avoid over-improving the house. For example, bathroom and kitchen renovations may not always be profitable.

clean up the mess

Before putting the property on the market for sale, it is essential to first clean the clutter from the house. Clutter will turn off potential buyers because they can’t imagine living in the house. As a tip, consider removing some unnecessary furniture to make the space look bigger. You should also keep family photos and other personal items so potential buyers can imagine staying in the house.

The staging of the house is very important. You may want to hire a professional for the job. This may cost extra, but it will be worth it. Real estate agents believe that a professional decorator can make the house more attractive and salable.

the price is ok

No matter how you organize your home or how much space you’ve renovated, it’s very important to price your property appropriately. An agent can help you determine the correct price for your property. You can also hire a property appraiser for the job. It doesn’t matter if you’re offering the lowest price in the neighborhood, especially if your home is very attractive and you’ve made significant home improvements. However, it is important that the listing price is not too far fetched with other comparable houses on the market.

Selling a home in a slow real estate market will take patience and perseverance. Make sure the house is in good condition and hire a reliable agent to help you sell the house faster. Following these tips will help increase your chances of getting a good deal on your property.

Water Hybrid Cars: How To Break The Ever-Increasing Cost Of Crazy Fuel Price Increases

Water hybrid cars give us a ray of hope against such dismal news as the big oil giants showing massive profits while the motorist pays around £5 a gallon for petrol in England and over $5 a gallon for petrol in In the United States, along with the ever-increasing concern about toxic exhaust fumes polluting the environment, it’s a welcome relief to hear about a technology that can truly reverse the trend and allow us all to enjoy a respite from skyrocketing fuel prices. .

Hydrogen hybrid fuel technology is one of the emerging energy technologies, as well as hydrogen fuel cell technology, wave energy, tidal energy biomass fuels, wind and solar energy, with the that we have become familiar with over the last 10 years, are becoming the energy technologies of the 21st century.

We now know what a devastating effect the burning of fossil fuels is having on climate systems globally, as carbon dioxide, methane gas, and other toxic particles bathe the atmosphere, creating all kinds of natural disasters in their wake. Among the calamities predicted by the International Energy Agency due to a global increase in coal use are the decline of major crops in China by up to 37%. We are leaving a whirlwind for our children to face unless we all do our part.

Some of the new energy technologies are still at a point where costs are high, but with stories like the all-solar Zephyr unmanned aerial vehicle flying for 54 hours during testing, Kylie Minogue selling her green home, and Boeing launching its first manned flight in a hydrogen-powered aircraft later this year, we have reason to expect big energy changes.

However, while we wait for these technologies to become the primary source for all of our energy needs, there is a way most of us can make a significant difference NOW without spending a lot of money. That is by converting our fuel-thirsty vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, and lorries) into hybrid vehicles (water hybrid cars) that run on both water and fuel. This still leaves some toxic emissions, but emission levels are greatly reduced as electrolysis splits the water into its individual components of hydrogen and oxygen gases, which when mixed with the fuel catabolize the size of the fuel molecules to burn completely (sing less fuel per mile/kilometre) instead of only partially burning leaving a whopping 75%-80% of toxic waste which is currently the poisonous exhaust emissions coming out of our tailpipes. Most of the waste from the use of water hybrid technology is water vapour, which provides a much cleaner atmosphere and a cleaner, more efficient engine.

Water technology is not a new technology

Water technology systems were widely used in the early 1940s. The B52 bomber worked on a water fuel injection system to generate enough power to get the plane off the ground, cool the plane’s engines, save fuel and maintenance engine during World War II.

Patents were granted for various versions of water hybrid technology plans as early as 1990 and since then these systems have been experimented with and tested on various types of machinery, not just vehicles. What has happened is that there is an influx of internet companies that have taken the time to research all the old drawings, schematic plans in the public domain and put together various DIY design options. There are some differences in the different designs, but basically they all work on the principle of building simple systems, using normal everyday tools, to create receptacles that allow the electrodes to break down water into its individual gas components. This is often called HH0 (or brown water) and is done using power from the car battery. The final product is delivered to the engine where it is mixed with the fuel.

This is GREAT as it opens up the opportunity for many people to take advantage of this technology and of course there is a new industry emerging where you can buy these off the shelf water conversion kits and install them on your cars, vans or trucks if you don’t want to do it yourself. This is still a much cheaper option than having to buy a very expensive new hydrogen car and the more people convert their cars, the greater the benefit to the environment.

To give you an idea of the efficiency of this system, unlike vintage steam cars of the early 20th century, which used massive amounts of water to maintain power, just under 4 liters of water used in an economy car would last about 2700 miles and the fossil fuel economy would be anywhere between 10% and 50% savings guaranteed. Many people have experienced better results than that, with some as high as 85%. This is a sustainable system that allows for a free source of energy. Simply collecting rainwater in the garden will give you enough water to power your water hybrid cars for years.

Leveraging and encouraging others to harness this simple technology is a sure way to beat the ever-increasing fuel costs that burden us, as well as decrease the dangerous toxic engine exhaust emissions that blight the health of so many of our people.

Parameters to measure the performance of computer monitors

A monitor, also known as a screen, is basically an electronic visual display for computers. The three main components of the device include a circuit, a case, and the screen. As far as the display device is concerned, it’s basically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display on most modern monitors. Monitors available in the past used a cathode ray tube.

The demand for these latest devices in the market is increasing with every changing day. To meet users’ requirements, more and more brands have started to launch user-friendly devices equipped with innovative features and cutting-edge technology. Some of the leading names in the monitor domain include Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, etc. Devices featured by these brands are known to deliver exceptional performance, both at home and in the office.

As for the performance of the device in question, it is measured by the following parameters:

Luminescence
The unit of measurement for luminescence is the candelabra per square meter.

aspect ratio
It is another important parameter to measure the performance of the device. It is defined as the ratio of the horizontal length to the vertical length. The aspect ratio of the device can be 4:3, 5:4, 16:10 or 16:9.

Screen resolution
It is defined as the number of distinct pixels that occur in each dimension and that can be displayed.

Update frequency
It is defined as the number of times a screen lights up in one second. The response time limits the maximum refresh rate.

contrast ratio
It is defined as the ratio of the lightness of the brightest color to the darkest color produced by the monitor.

vision angle
The maximum angle at which an individual can view images on the monitor without extreme image deprivation is called the viewing angle. It is mainly measured in degrees vertically and horizontally.

These are some of the essential parameters to judge the performance of the device. The perfect medium to get the best computer monitors is the Internet. The medium profffers has a wide collection of products available at exorbitant prices. In addition to this, customers can also enjoy exciting offers and deals on a wide range of products. The price comparison tools of various online shopping portals can also allow people to compare the price and feature list of most products and brands. In addition to monitors, you can also find other electronic products in one of those stores, such as mobile phones, all professional camcorders, digital cameras, etc.

Relationship

Are work and chores keeping you from making new friends?

How ‘good’ are you at making new friends? Recent research has found that many of us (49%) are simply too busy to think about putting in the effort to establish a new friendship with all that that entails. 63% say work takes up too much of their time, while 65% blame housework.

The Campaign to End Loneliness, in partnership with YouGov, has revealed that 54% of British adults feel it has been a long time since they made new friends. Since loneliness is such a big problem, one would think that making new friends and connections would be seen as a worthwhile investment, more important than work and housework!

So why do so many people seem unwilling to do what it takes to forge new relationships? Are work and tasks really such a priority that there is no time to focus on meeting new people? Making the effort to smile or start a conversation that can turn into something more meaningful takes time, effort, and perhaps money, especially if the social side heats up. Is that seen as too much like hard work?

The survey found that 88% of 2,000 people interviewed online felt that minor gestures, such as smiling at one another or sharing small talk in a public place, such as on the bus or in a store, were a valuable way of dealing with loneliness. Certainly, positive human interaction is a start to keeping human connection alive. Perhaps those transient gestures are enough for busy people.

But how do we start making new friends, especially if other people aren’t particularly receptive?

– One way is to meet new people in a relaxed social situation.. If we are interested in a specific activity, such as music, sport, theater, why not find a local group that suits that interest? There we can meet people with similar interests to ours, we are more likely to maintain our enthusiasm and over time we get to know people quite well. New friendships are often made in relaxed social settings.

– If we already have a complete social agenda but it does not particularly inspire us Could it be time to do a housecleaning of some of our friends in a less prominent position? There may be friends from childhood, from school days, from when the kids were little, from our old neighborhood, and we may have kept in touch, meeting regularly over the years. If they have now become a chore rather than a pleasure, why not start by being less available or make those meetings more of a group invite, making them more relaxed and fun while freeing up some time? That way, you manage to make room in your schedule for new ways to spend your free time.

– Many people make friends through work.. A shared occupation may not be enough to sustain a lifelong friendship, but it is often enough for people to share fun and interesting times together, and often provides plenty of common ground for discussion. You could progress a relationship by suggesting coffee after work or finding out what’s going on locally and hosting a social event for several of your colleagues.

– Similarly, children can gather parents., whether through school events, the PTA, or chatting at school gates. Those little moments of connection can gradually become more meaningful and add real value to our lives. Friends encourage us to be social, they motivate us to try harder to take care of ourselves, they advise us if we have problems with something they know about. How often do we ask our friends for recommendations? It’s nice to be referred to a tried and tested merchant when we need one.

– It is important that our friends have similar aspirations to ours. It can be awkward and embarrassing if our friend has a lot more disposable income than we do or wants to party more often than we do. Sometimes we have to be open and honest, say what we can commit to and stay calm. It is often cited that we become like the five people we spend most of our time with. Make sure your friends motivate and inspire you instead of wearing you down and wearing you down.

Making new friends works best when it’s an easy process, when it’s logistically convenient and adds value to our lives. To support and nurture new relationships, we have to make time, want them in our lives, and be able to afford the time, money, and effort. Sometimes tasks and work need to take a backseat.

How Acai Berry Helps Men With Low Testosterone

A man’s body produces less and less testosterone as he ages. This means that older men are more susceptible to common but life-threatening medical conditions such as high blood pressure and obesity. Another symptom of low testosterone, decreased sexual stamina, may not be as life-threatening, but it can still get in the way of the important things in life.

To deal with the rapid decline in the male hormone, some men resort to “doping,” that is, they find artificial ways to put more testosterone into the body. While testosterone therapy can be quite helpful, it still comes with a long list of side effects, including sleep apnea, acne, and embarrassingly, enlarged breasts.

Testosterone replacement isn’t cheap either, and that’s something to consider these days when the economy is still recovering. If low libido is already straining your sexual relationship with your partner, you may find yourself between a rock and a hard place. Is there a safe and natural way to treat low testosterone?

As usual, it’s Acai berry to the rescue. Yes, South Americans have used the Brazilian wonder fruit for centuries as a natural testosterone booster. Is it any wonder that Latinos have some of the best sex appeal among men around the world?

Acai berry also helps men lose weight, build muscle, improve eyesight and skin health, and ward off the possibility of cancer. Before you take your chances on testosterone therapy, find an effective acai berry product for men, and do your partner a favor!

Bad Liposuction Reimbursement: Can I Get a Reimbursement If the Doctor Failed My Liposuction?

Every liposuction case is unique, and getting a bad liposuction reimbursement would depend on many factors. Obviously, if the results are not as expected and you are not satisfied with the result of the surgery, you can file a complaint with the doctor and try to correct the situation. However, before attempting to obtain reimbursement, it is important to reflect on the discussions you had with your doctor prior to having your surgery. Were you told what to expect regarding the results? Is the result as expected? It would be difficult to request a refund if the results are exactly as the doctor said they would be. However, you have the right to make a complaint and request a refund if you are not satisfied.

Be well informed before committing

Before going through surgery, did you ask all the right questions? It is important to ask your doctor about the possible risks and side effects associated with liposuction and gather all relevant information about the surgery. There is a risk with every surgery, but it is imperative that you know the level of risk involved with liposuction before making this decision. If you find the potential risk too high or the procedure unsettling, see another doctor or consider another type of weight-loss procedure. If the negative side effects of the surgery were not explained to you, were not anticipated, or became permanent, you may be able to request reimbursement for a bad liposuction. Generally speaking, when a doctor does not fully or adequately inform her before any surgery, she must be held responsible in some way.

Choosing a trusted surgeon is not only important for your well-being, but also leads to minor problems if you need to seek reimbursement for incorrect liposuction. If all communication with your doctor was verbal and no agreement was signed, it may be difficult to get reimbursed. However, a well-known surgeon with a lot of skill and experience will usually want to protect his reputation and satisfy his patient. Be wary of doctors whose fees are questionably minimal, as they may be prone to mistakes and may be willing to avoid the issue of reimbursement. It is not worth risking your health, or having to undergo another operation to correct a mistake that could have been avoided.

Contracts and Responsibility

There are usually some forms to fill out or a contract to sign before entering the operating room. Read the fine print carefully and discuss everything with your doctor before you sign. The documents may specify that the doctor is not responsible for the results of the surgery and that no money will be financed even if you are not satisfied. If you sign such an agreement, there is little that can be done to rectify an unpleasant situation. Be sure to discuss reimbursement with your doctor so you are fully aware of the policies related to reimbursement.

However, if you can prove that a mistake led to physical or moral harm, you may be protected under the law, even if you signed a waiver. For example, if you are under the legislative power of the province of Quebec, you cannot waive your right to take legal action against someone who has caused you physical or moral harm. That said, you are also protected if the botched procedure causes you physical injury. The wording of agreements that patients sign can play into the fact that the general public doesn’t know much about their legal rights and is quick to create any document that looks official. So, if you suffered moral or physical injuries and you can prove it in court, then you can get the reimbursement you want, as well as other relevant compensation. To know your legal rights, it is best to contact an attorney.

If you are considering liposuction, you should not only educate yourself about the risks and side effects associated with the surgery, but you should also have a signed agreement with your doctor, one that is comprehensive and includes a clause about reimbursement for bad liposuction in case of complications. arise. Such a contract should protect both parties and may be the key to avoiding legal action.

Get a blackout from the window coverings

Window coverings can effectively block out the sun or provide your home or office with a complete blackout when you need it. The type of material or fabric you use for your setting will determine how much black you can get. You need to consider the various elements that will help make your windows truly functional. You can successfully block out the sun and other outside elements by following a few simple rules and guidelines when designing.

Keep UV rays out

UVA and UVB rays can be very dangerous if the skin is exposed to them frequently or for long periods of time. You can get the right SPF simply by designing your window covering correctly. If you want to achieve SPF 15, you should invest in full shades, either pulled all the way to one side with a tie or hung over straight panels on the side of the window. These are very effective as these do not interfere with the sunlight filtering through the windows. These can also cause furniture to be constantly exposed to damage every day.

SPF 30 protection

If you want to achieve SPF 30, you should design a sheer curtain panel or window treatment blind for more sun protection and privacy. Hang the sheer on a single top mount rail that can be easily pushed to the side or even hidden behind drapery panels when not needed. If you want to add the look of fabric blinds independently, sheer blinds are also very useful. These are flexible products that help control light exposure and increase energy efficiency.

You can also get adhesive sunscreen that can be professionally applied to the inside of your windows, giving you 99% protection from UV rays and about 80% protection from solar heat. So you will get less power usage. Darker films will of course give you additional protection. Light curtain ideas models that use good solid drapery fabrics created by some manufacturers can give you the same benefits without changing the look of your windows.

for very hot days

Some areas or angles of the house or building may require additional sun protection. You can effectively block out the sun or get SPF 60 by hanging blackout curtains or drapes that can be fully closed or are fully functional. You can protect interiors from damage when you’re away from home for an entire weekend, day, or vacation. If you don’t stay in your house for a long time, you can invest heavily in curtains and leave them closed once you go out every day.

Shutters and wood slat shutters are also useful for almost complete shade from the sun when closed. Shades can be set up to redirect or deflect sunlight away from your furniture. When thinking of blackout blinds, a blind factory that produces Roman or soft cloth blinds and matchstick or bamboo blinds also offer complete protection.

get the view

You can still achieve a complete blackout if you want to sleep during the day and have the view you’ve always wanted if you have large windows and doors that feature beautiful backgrounds and scenery. You can design honeycomb blinds that can pull up very tight. Wood blinds are very bulky and must be used strategically or you risk blocking your view along with the light. Bay windows are very easy to cover since they don’t have sheetrock in the middle. You can choose the cover on your choice for these.

Sir Tom Stoppard, early works – Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead

Sir Tom Stoppard, early works.

6. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead is probably Sir Tom Stoppard’s best-known and most studied play, and is one of the most original and inventive works in post-war British theatre. Beneath the verbal and visual ingenuity lies a concern with serious philosophical questions having to do with the opposition between determinism and free will, and reality and illusion, and it is part of Stoppard’s genius that he manipulates the medium of theater itself. to reflect intellectual themes. .

The play is structured around the idea that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern’s situation as supporting characters in Hamlet, trapped within the plot of Shakespeare’s play, is equated with man trapped in a deterministic universe. Thus, the work functions along two levels, and occasionally three, as the work draws attention to itself as a work, in relation to us, the audience.

Stoppard has used Rosencrantz and Guildenstern exactly as Shakespeare created them, that is, as flat underdeveloped characters, with minimal and ineffectual roles, largely unaware of the events into which they have been dragged, and whose deaths go almost unnoticed, and the has transposed them into a 20th-century language by equating them with the antiheroes of the Theater of the Absurd. Indeed, the play owes a clear debt to Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern in the manner of Vladimir and Estragon, waiting, not knowing what they are waiting for, in an incomprehensible, perhaps meaningless, universe in which that death is the only certainty. The appearance of The Players also mirrors, structurally, the appearance of Pozzo and Lucky in Waiting for Godot.

The theme of fate versus free will is introduced in the opening scene: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are tossing coins, and the coins have come up heads ninety-two times in a row. The act of tossing a coin is an act of free will, and the result apparently depends on chance, but in the long run it seems that the attempt to influence the future by an individual act of free will is futile, because the result has been predicted. Thus we have a picture in which free will and determinism coexist, with free will operating in the short term and determinism in the long term. This duality is later demonstrated again when, in a scene reported but not shown in Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are on a ship bound for England.

‘Guil: Where we went wrong was getting on a ship. We can move, of course, change direction, rattle, but our movement is contained within a larger one that carries us along, as inexorably as wind and current. (Act 3.)

Free will and determinism are present in their world, but whichever way you look at it, they cannot escape their imminent death.

The inevitability of death is also the axis around which Stoppard builds his exploration of the reality versus illusion dichotomy. Rosencrantz tries to understand death as a reality, but is unable to fight against the illusions that the mind throws up in the face of the unknown.

‘Ros: It’s silly to be depressed about it. I mean you think of it as being alive in a box, you keep forgetting to take into account the fact that you’re dead. (Act 2)

When a troupe of actors arrives, The Players, specialists in illusion, the entire relationship between illusion and reality is called into question.

‘Guil: You die so many times: how can you expect them to believe in your death?

Player: On the contrary, he’s the only guy they do believe in. They are conditioned to it. I once had an actor who was sentenced to hang for stealing a sheep. . . I got permission to hang it in the middle of a play. . . And you wouldn’t believe it, it just wasn’t convincing. It was impossible to suspend one’s disbelief. (Act 2)

The suggestion is that we cannot believe in reality even when we see it, and are too eager to believe in illusions. The player proves his point later when Guildenstern stabs him and he falls to the ground and ‘dies’. Guildenstern is fooled by the player’s act, thinking that he has killed him, until the player revives and says

For a moment you thought that he had… cheated on you. (Act 2)

‘Deceived’ by substituting reality for illusion, implying that we can never be absolutely sure whether something we perceive is reality or an illusion, a theme that appears repeatedly in Stoppard’s work and is exemplified by After Magritte (1970) , whose thesis could be paraphrased as: what we ‘know’ depends on how we choose to interpret what we think we see.

In addition to these philosophical themes, Stoppard is exploring a moral theme in the play; the moral and spiritual desolation of a civilization without God. The loss of meaning of life in the absence of God is suggested in this speech by the player:

‘You don’t understand the humiliation of that, being fooled by the only assumption that makes our existence viable: that someone is watching. . . We promised identities, secure in the conventions of our trade; someone would be watching. And then gradually nobody was. (Act 2)

The view that modern man is adrift in a meaningless universe without God is in accord with the absurd view of man that Stoppard is working with, but Stoppard goes further and says something about the moral decline that follows modernity. adoption of a philosophical position that denies the existence of God. The Actors are supposed to bring culture to the king’s court, but they are ‘a comic pornographer and a rabble of prostitutes’ (Act 1), and their plays are bawdy performances in which, for a price, the public can participate. That this particular situation may extend to modern society as a whole is suggested by the frequent repetition of the phrase ‘the times are what they are’, and is reinforced by Guildenstern’s comment ‘The very air stinks’ (Act 1); a joking reference to Hamlet’s line: ‘Something is rotten in the state of Denmark’. (Hamlet 1.iv.90)

Strategically placed exterior signage can make up for the poor physical location of your business

here is the problem

Many businesses located in the back of malls don’t get the visibility of signage that those in front do. They get less exposure to high road and pedestrian traffic, fewer new customers coming through the door, and a higher risk of their business surviving. This can be especially so in that very critical first year of establishing a small business.

here is a solution

There are many ways to overcome this loss of traffic and the associated risk. They are inexpensive and, in many cases, can attract more attention than having fixed signage in high-traffic areas.

1. Talk to your landlord and municipality. Find an area on the outside of the building that is exposed to a lot of car or foot traffic and install a full-length outdoor banner to attract that attention.

2. Display your outdoor banner on a durable mount outside your business next to high-traffic areas. Move the banner inside every night. Brackets are hard to come by, but the ones used for volleyball nets work great.

here is the cost

Depending on the size of the banner, the cost varies, but is still more affordable in today’s economy and the competition in that market. A highly visible, durable outdoor banner (grommets every 2 1/2 feet and hemmed on all four sides), 2 feet tall by 4 feet wide, can be printed with your business message on one side and shipped to your location by mail. less than $40. Given the heavy-duty material used and with proper care, these outdoor banners can last anywhere from 6 months to a year.

Here is the return on your investment

Let’s be conservative when calculating the return on investment for this purchase. We will estimate the performance at an average of $5 per day over a 6-month period. What that says is that having the banner visible in high-traffic areas brings an average of $5 extra into your business each day it’s open. Depending on the products or services you sell and your location, this figure could be much higher. If the banner can be used for 6 months and your business is open 5 days a week, that converts to 105 business days at $5 per day or $525 total as a result of the banner placement. After subtracting the original investment of $40 from the increased sales of $525, he is left with $485. When you divide the original investment of $40 by the net return of $485, your return on investment is 1,212.5%.

let’s summarize

There are many ways for your small business to survive during a tough economy. They require thought, planning and calculation, but they will keep their doors open. If your business location isn’t the best for exposure, strategically placed outdoor banners next to high-traffic areas may be your answer.
