Seven signs you could be a closet writer

Sure you like reading books, in fact, sometimes you enjoy reading them more than living in the real world, but if you like a good story, longing for a world written with imagination is different from creating one, right? Are you sure a writer is born, calluses on the index finger and the third finger, and it is not done? Not necessarily. American master bard Walt Whitman did not produce his masterpiece Leaves of Grass until he was 35 years old, and no one has yet imagined where his genius came from, almost done. Here are seven signs that you could be harboring a fugitive author inside, a writer in hiding desperate to escape.

1. You really like books. Seriously. You read under the covers as a child, not to mention in the car, on the bus, even heaven forbid at lunch while others were playing. More than a literary obsession to the limit, yours was the sad boredom that life in the real world could never reach the same heights as on the page. Perhaps your true direction in life lies in a perfectly interspersed typeface. Perhaps there you will reach your true heights.

2. As an adult, you often avoid reading. Not because he’s stopped, but because his reading standards continue to grow and, frankly, a poorly written book has let him down too much; you’re too good a reader to write under you. A writer trapped in the closet is guaranteed to have higher standards than most; Maybe it’s time you put on the shirt that fits you.

3. It’s a cliche, but fiction is the home of cliches, so read on. You can name the books that changed your life, whose convincing and well-crafted truths and hidden insights helped you see the world in different ways, you too. . Perhaps you have a written truth to offer your world.

4. You often tell others about the flaws in what you are reading, how you think a novel could be better written. You intuitively know what makes good writing, you know if an author has something to say before you’ve worked halfway through the page. You would write book reviews if you were a writer, you exclaim sadly. Well maybe you should, grab a pen and you are.

5. When you read words, you hear the voice of the author within you; in fact, yours is the long-held belief that you somehow know the authors whose work you’ve read, even if you’ve never met them. Maybe it really does. Writing, like other art forms, is a bridge between author and reader, and poet, artist, and meditation teacher Sri Chinmoy writes that if we are aware of this bridge, we can not only enter the work of a writer, but also acquire their ability:

“When you want to create something, you want to invoke beauty to inspire you. So in that moment, you have to identify with someone who is creating. You want to do something unique, but the kind of thing you want to do someone has already done or is doing. Only you want to get over it. So try to identify yourself with the consciousness of the person who has already done the thing or with the person himself, and try to inspire, aspiration and ability from him. If you want to write something spiritual, read my writings and identify with them. If you want to draw something, take your ideal artist and identify with their creation. “[1]

6. You long to discover the hidden meaning of things, the hidden motivations and depths in the hearts of others, the mystery of the world around you, also within you. Most good writers do, which is why they write, their fascination with life is equal to, if not greater than, writing itself. Follow the path of those writers to self-knowledge; pen in hand, start writing yourself.

7. It has always been a storehouse of facts, a traveling library of information. You can remember everything that happens to you, often astonishing your friends with an accurate memory of the events and their sequence, without really understanding why. Your mind itself is a storyteller: it reports, observes and describes the events of your day, albeit usually spontaneously: a recording whose reels have no end. Songwriter Kristin Hersh started writing songs because “if I don’t turn ideas into songs, they can get stuck in me and make me sick.”[2] Even if you don’t go to this extreme, if your mind is overflowing its limits, put your excess creativity and energy to good use; Start writing it all down. You may also want to give meditation a try and purchase a much-needed on-off switch.

According to Hersh, “songwriting is about keeping quiet rather than talking.”[3] Whether it’s songs or entire books, if you want to be a writer, now is the time to bite into the apple instead of talking about it.

Corvette C4, caring for your acrylic targa roof

Due to my experience manufacturing plastics, I receive many calls and requests about how to care for your C4 Corvette Acrylic Targa Top. Basic roof maintenance goes a long way toward increasing the life and appearance of acrylic panel.

For a bit of history, when Chevrolet redesigned the Corvette for introduction in 1984, they came up with a lot of great ideas used in other sports cars in the past. Instead of the T-Top roof panels that had been used on the Corvette C3 from 1968-1983, they opted for a Targa roof like the Porsche 911. The standard roof was a fiberglass panel painted the same color as the car. . Chevrolet also had an optional sunroof that featured a bronze or blue smoked plastic. Lexan was originally used on roofing in 1984 but was found to be easily scratched. Lexan is a very tear resistant material, but the downside to its tear strength is its soft surface that scratches quite easily. As a side note, all race cars use Lexan for their front windshields from local tracks to the Nascar Nextel Cup Series. In the Nextel Cup and Nationwide Series, race teams use tear-off films on top of Lexan that can be removed during the race, minimizing scratches on the windshield. Later in the 1984 model year, General Motors switched to acrylic with a scratch resistant coating to help prevent scratches on the roof.

Caring for an acrylic ceiling panel is easy. Wash the panel with a mild detergent, Walmart standard car wash detergent is fine. The key is to spray the ceiling well with a hose to remove loose dirt BEFORE CLEANING THE SOAPY RAG. After the ceiling is dry, apply wax to the ceiling. It is important NOT to use a cleaner wax, repeat DO NOT use a cleaner wax as it has abrasives to clean dirt and oxidation on a car paint and will scratch the plexiglass roof. I suggest applying several coats of wax and applying frequently as the wax will burn in the sun.

Removing deep scratches from the ceiling is a bit trickier, but if you’re careful and cautious, it shouldn’t be a problem. You should first sand down the scratch with 1200 grit sandpaper. Personally, I use wet / dry paper and wet sand the scratch with water that has a little dish detergent mixed in with it. The water acts as a lubricant to help keep scratches on the sandpaper surface to a minimum. After this step, pat the area dry and buff. If it is a small scratch, you can rub it by hand. Starting with a heavy-duty cutting compound, buff the area with a soft cloth. Then buff it with a finish cut polishing compound until all scratches are gone and the shine has come off. The last step is to apply a few coats of paste wax to the ceiling. If the scratch is large, you will need to use a buffing wheel. Before using a buffing wheel, make sure you have experience with it. If not, I suggest you call an auto detailer in your area.

For fine scratches on the surface, it is not necessary to use sandpaper, just hand buff the ceiling with a scratch remover compound, such as Maguire’s. It may take some time, so be patient.

Discipline Kids: 3 Tips for Raising Thick-Skinned Kids

Humiliations, failure; It is every day from birth to death. Alan has criticized his thousand freckles. A baby cries and does not get milk right away, fails. Eighty-year-old Elizabeth loses all her savings in a stock market crash, a failure. Think that the skin is necessary from the beginning to protect children from the harsh blows of life.

Let’s make sure we know how to make the best thick skin for your kid before we get to the tips.

All parents know that children are very sensitive to having their feelings hurt. This interior part It is where parents should begin to develop a child’s thick skin, making the child feel strong about himself on the inside. But don’t let him think that he is better than the others; that requires teaching humility.

Then there is the outer part, the part that gives the best responses to people when put-downs occur. Responses should be forceful but not hurtful. This can be tricky, but it is doable.

Now for the three tried and tested tips.

1. Teach self-esteem inside. Focus on strengths, especially during discipline. By the time your child is two years old, write down all of your child’s strengths and find ways to notice them on a daily basis. When your child yells at you for limiting texting time, say, “It’s amazing I have so many friends, but we need to set limits for texting.” Inner strength is the foundation for a proper thick skin.

2. Teach thick skin responses outdoors. Provide your child with coping tools and practice daily. Make sure your child can tell you anything from the beginning. Liz sobs at the dinner table about her first day of high school; two kids said her dress looked silly. Follow these two steps: (1) listen to and validate your inner feelings (build inner worth) and (2) act on outer responses. Teach her to say, “I really like my dress” while confidently turning around. Thick skin comes with practice.

3. Teach compassion and humility.the blood of true happiness. Caring for others combined with “you are as important as I am” is a recipe for an abundant life. Showing and saying will activate your child’s inner wiring of compassion. Examples: Schedule a monthly afternoon to help an elderly couple. Or, when your teen rants about how bad the teacher is, point out how the teacher lost her father in a car accident and how that can cause irritability.

Your child needs thick skin to live life to the full. Make sure your main ingredient is compassion.

Movie review – "Alice house" It is an extraordinary Brazilian film brilliantly conceived and interpreted

“Alice’s House” is an extraordinary Brazilian film brilliantly conceived and well worth watching. This cooking drama is a refreshing naturalistic look at a middle-class urban family from São Paulo, thrown into confusion by sexual and emotional betrayal. The ever-resonant Carla Ribas in the title role takes us on an arduous journey in which she is repeatedly rejected as she seeks liberation and romance.

The story revolves around the forty-something Alice who works as a manicurist in a beauty salon. He shares a flat on the outskirts of the city with his mother, Mrs. Jacira, her husband, Lindomar, a taxi driver, and their three children, Lucas, Edinho and Junior. The film is about the everyday life of a woman in which she alludes to herself and makes the same mistakes repeatedly. With your little actions, intimate insights, and daily frustrations, nothing is safe in this emotional void. It is a fragile family, which could deteriorate and break at any moment.

At home, men pay little attention to Alice, while at work she lives an attractive life. The beauty salon’s warm atmosphere offers hope, while her crowded apartment life suffocates her with narcissistic nonchalance. With coworkers and clients, you can tell jokes, have drinks after work, and sympathize with wanting better.

Everyone in Alice’s world has a secret: her husband has developed a passion for underage girls; one of his sons is a gay con man, another is a petty thief, and the youngest is tormented by his sexual arousals, while his elderly mother is gradually going blind. Even her clients have secrets and soon Alice succumbs to the same sexual intrigue and deception and develops a secret life of her own.

Director Chico Teixeira creates a very detailed world for these characters in both their emotional and physical world. By the end of the movie, one can not only describe Alice’s cramped apartment, but also the wishes and desires of each and every character. The film also offers a look at the unassuming culture of Brazil and its informal approach to sex, at least among the middle class. Sex, love, romance are the forces of this story and even the grandmother finds comfort in the voice of a radio show host. Her quest is to be a winner in her calling show.

Navigating this story may take some effort, as there is no music to guide you through your sensibilities. Therefore, it is likely that the judgments you reach will be yours. This makes Carla Ribas’s performance in the title role even more remarkable. His range describes a myriad of emotions that the story drives through its innocent flirtations, dramatic entanglements, and its harsh consequences. Teixeira, the director, uses silence to focus on this inner turmoil. There is a scene where Alice cannot sleep and goes out to the balcony to calm her nerves. His mother (Berta Zemel) comes out and stays by his side without speaking or relating. It is a moving scene in which the mother, although she goes blind, ironically sees and feels everything that her daughter endures. Just being there is enough.

When filming without using dialogue, the director said: “I discovered that the body speaks for itself, like a dance. I learned that the bodies speak a lot.”

Produced with limited resources, “Alice’s House” is an extraordinary film, unique and inventive in many ways. It addresses a variety of deceptions along with the tragedy of a woman tied to the family, but yearning to be freed from the boredom and monotony of her life. Despite the trials you face, you have the optimism and stamina to make us support your happiness. The handheld camera gracefully finds those moments of fulfillment, reflection and hope in contrast to pain.

Carla Ribas is a stage actress who started acting at the age of 35 and won the role following the recommendations of the famous theater coach and casting director Fatima Toledo. It’s Carla’s first role in a feature film, one that has already garnered her numerous awards in addition to industry-wide recognition. The excellent ensemble cast is also right. Before production, they worked together for three months under the tutelage of Fátima Toledo. The actors never saw the script, but instead took their lines from the performances of Fatima.

A celebrated documentary maker, Tico Teixeira, is praised for his ability to get his subjects to open up about their innermost feelings. This experience is most evident in “Alice’s House”, his award-winning first feature film, an extraordinarily revealing film worth watching.

Why should you buy organic food?

What does organic mean?

Agricultural products that are grown and processed naturally are called organic foods. Organic crops are generally grown without the use of chemicals, synthetic pesticides, petroleum-based fertilizers, bioengineering genes, or sewage sludge-based fertilizers. Even when it comes to dairy, meat or eggs, livestock will have access to organic feed. Antibiotics, by-products, and growth hormones are strictly not recommended.

Why choose organic?

A maze of foods labeled organic will claim to be beneficial, but is it really so? Does the popularity of organic food outweigh the advantages? If you have ever wondered what is essentially good for your physical and mental health, you are on the right track. Organically grown foods often contain more nutrients in the form of antioxidants and prevent or reduce allergies compared to their conventionally grown counterparts. It is free of harmful chemicals, contains more flavor and sustainable sustenance, and at the same time, it is an excellent choice for personal and planetary well-being.

Because it is important?

Organic food contains fewer chemicals and pesticides, but consuming organically grown food is one of the ways to avoid chemically intoxicated food in today’s market. More than 600 active chemicals are registered with heavy exposure to pesticides that can contribute to serious diseases, deficiencies, dysfunctions and neurological problems. Organic meat and dairy contain synthetic hormones that have been linked to an increased risk of cancer. Alternatively, due to the zero levels of pesticides, fertilization techniques are less likely to cause toxic heavy metals that typically accumulate in the kidneys and liver.

Advantages of organic food

  • Organic products like meat and milk contain 50% omega-3 fatty acids, which is a type of healthy unsaturated fat that does not increase calories overall.

  • Sustainable crop growing practices produce food with more nutrients, including minerals, vitamins, micronutrients, and enzymes.

  • Organic food grown in well-balanced soil automatically tastes better than conventional crops.

  • No synthetic hormones or antibiotics are given to livestock, making organic food inherently safer to consume.

  • Organic produce is higher in antioxidants and does not pose a risk from harmful pesticides or other potentially harmful chemicals.

  • They contain essential nutrients as soon as they are harvested and must be consumed relatively quickly.

  • A lower risk of water or soil contamination has a positive effect on human well-being and the environment.

  • Organic foods cannot be DNA-altered to be pesticide-free or produce insecticides. It is free of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or, in other words, genetically modified.

  • Organic farming plays a positive role in the environment, reducing soil pollution and erosion, increasing soil fertility, conserving water and using less energy.

The problems that arise from toxic exposure from conventionally grown foods are hard to miss. In the wake of factors such as birth defects, obesity, learning disabilities, and water contamination, it is spurring a valuable shift in bringing organic labels to market. The growth of this dynamic sector can help protect the environment and stabilize a healthy life.

How do I grow my penis naturally?

It is no secret that almost all men are interested in penis enhancement despite the size of their penises. Most of them seem to measure their virility by the length of their penises. Research and studies show that a man with a medium-sized penis but good technique can satisfy his wife sexually.

Yet men seem to have made it a matter of personal pride and vanity. Penis enlargement is an ancient phenomenon and has been around for thousands of years. Various methods have been started to add a few extra inches where it matters most.

Ancient men began with weights dangling from their penises. This is a method that can also be extremely painful and damaging. It can cause internal damage to the erectile tissue and render you powerless for life. What good is having a longer penis when you can’t enjoy sex?

Surgery is another option. However, you would agree with me when I say that even the idea of having your manhood under a knife could be terrifying enough. Also, there is no evidence to show that surgery can lead to a permanent increase in the length of the penis.

One of the most effective male enhancement techniques is a penis traction device or a penis extender. These extenders have become the most sought after penis enlargement products in the modern world.

How does a penis traction device work?

It all starts with wearing the device on your penis. Interestingly, that’s all you need to do. Once the device is placed, it begins to exert gentle pressure along the axis. This pressure over time stretches the Corpora Cavernosa or blood-containing erectile tissue in your penis, resulting in longer and thicker erections. Not only this, the gains experienced are permanent in nature and your penis does not shrink to its original size when you stop using the device.

One of the downsides to this method is that you have to wear the device for a couple of hours every day. This could be extremely inconvenient for many guys.

However, there are now some good devices that are extremely lightweight and can be worn under pants for hours without being detected.

Why is it important to choose the correct device?

Although a penis extender is a great way to add a few extra inches to your penis, choosing the right product is extremely important. There are many devices that can cause many complications. A local or substandard device can even cause injury and irreparable damage. Not only are you at risk of experiencing erectile dysfunction, but you can also get an infection as a result of any injury.

How to choose the right device?

To choose the correct device, you need to make sure that it is:

  • clinically proven to work

  • recommended by doctors

  • comfortable to wear

What are the other benefits of traction devices?

In addition to increasing the length and girth of your penis, a penis traction device also helps increase blood flow to the penis. This is great for your erections. In other words, a penis extender can help you get harder and stronger erections.

Combined use of such a device with Kegel exercises can also help increase your staying power. Kegel exercises are pelvic floor exercises that have been shown to increase ejaculation control in men. They are very easy to do and you can check them online.

Traction devices are one of the best options for men looking to enlarge their penis. It is no wonder that they increase in popularity with each passing day. Doctors also recommend some of the best. In addition to increasing the length of your penis, this device can also help to straighten your penis if you have a slightly bent penis.

Is it time to put my dog to sleep?

I want to start this article by revealing that every sentence you will read here is my opinion. I don’t have solid research to back up anything I say. There was no peer review of the validity of this article prior to publication. I wrote this article for you because a dog that has been in our care at Kelsey’s Dog House for a long time concluded his stay with us this week. We will never see him again. His vet buried him. His owner’s decision to euthanize him was extremely difficult, as it is for most of us.

Dogs live fast

Dogs live very fast lives. They gestate quickly. They mature quickly. During middle age, they act at a very fast pace. Their hearts beat rapidly, even at rest. Food goes down in very few gulps and then comes out the other end in no time. They focus on one thing only for a few seconds and then move on to something else. Their sleep-wake cycles are generally much shorter than ours. Even your normal body temperature of 99-102 degrees indicates that your physiology is working in overdrive. It’s no wonder that when dogs reach the later stages of their lives, their batteries drain very quickly.

Old age problems for dogs generally mirror our own. Blindness; deafness; and lack of mobility due to arthritis; loss of muscle tone; and wavering equilibrium are part of the old age equation. Fittingly, a dog seems to retain its sense of smell to the end. What distinguishes old age in dogs from that of humans is the rate at which dogs deteriorate. While many humans take decades to show the wear and tear of a long life, dogs, living life in the fast lane, seem to reach a point where their health plummets.

An old dog

At this late stage, a dog is no longer himself. For example, although he may have been 100% reliable in conducting his business outdoors, reduced mobility and incontinence may cause him to relieve himself indoors. You can no longer play, in the traditional sense, or even explore because moving around is a chore. You may be disoriented most of the time because your senses are no longer giving you the feedback you need to navigate. Or you may just be too tired or sick to move around a lot.

Many dogs develop serious disorders and illnesses in old age. A dog with serious health problems will have to make frequent, expensive and stressful visits to the vet’s office. Older dogs with various disorders can experience varying degrees of chronic and acute pain. Pain relievers can ease the pain, but further dull a dog’s already reduced senses and alertness.

Before continuing, I want to re-emphasize that what I am writing here is just my opinion, especially regarding suffering. I don’t think dogs suffer in the sense that humans would describe suffering. An uncomfortable dog does not have a verbal dialogue with himself about his bad condition. He does not feel sorry for himself or suffer from his condition getting worse. I think a dog is in pain; and chronic pain makes a dog weak. It makes you more prone to hiding, sleeping, or acting out of place. That said, I will also say that a dog does not place an emotional value on his pain as we humans often do. When we say, “That dog is suffering,” we are falsely assigning a human attribution to the dog.

What does it all mean

What does all this mean for a dog and our bond with that dog? Since each of us has our own unique behavior that we call a personality, each dog has its own unique identity. Also, dogs, like humans, have a role to play, a purpose, so to speak. I believe that every dog has a job in this world, whether it’s taking care of a pack, taking care of the backyard, or just sitting on your lap to comfort you. Some of these jobs are formal and skilled, and others are taken on by accident or good luck. In any case, dogs are usually happiest when they play a role that seems to fit their identity. When your dog has reached a point where he can no longer do any of the things that make him a dog, when he cannot do his job, then he becomes a shell of what he once was. He may still be physically present, but his spirit is gone. Compounding the problem, when your poor health causes you to do things you have never done before, such as accidentally urinating in the house, this causes a degree of stress. A dog knows what it knows. When what a dog knows no longer applies, or something happens that seems out of his control, he can’t rationalize it to make sense of it.

Let’s get you in the mix. Remember your dog as a happy and vital companion. Your positive energy and approval were food for her soul. When all you can do for your dog is worry about his deteriorating condition, it sends wave after wave of anguish and worry in their direction. If you’re frustrated that your old dog is making a mess in the house or acting strange, that sends a message, too. Your dog looks to you for safety and comfort. While you will certainly do everything you can physically to make him comfortable when his health fails, you may also be inadvertently sending emotional signals that make your dog’s situation worse.

When it’s time

There comes a time in a dog’s life when it’s time to say goodbye. We’d love to hang on to our best friend forever, but we know that’s not going to happen. Your dog, although he may be devastated by blindness, deafness, illness, and other disorders, still resembles your dog. He is still warm and furry and his tail is still moving when you stroke him. Your memory of what once was can fill in the details of a dog that is no longer there. You may not be in pain, but you are no longer satisfied. It doesn’t matter that it still looks and feels like your dog, because the dog you used to know is gone.

Many of us take a long time to reach this conclusion and it is understandable. Any decision to put a dog to sleep is difficult, feels premature, and is often tinged with guilt. You may feel like your dog has given you years and years of pleasure, and now you need to comfort and support him as long as he’s willing to move on. Again, this is perfectly understandable and completely rational thinking from a human perspective. Consider everything I’ve written here about what it looks like from the dog’s perspective.

Once your dog’s health slips, nature has no intention of restoring him. Your senses have been dulled. His mobility, as he knew it, is gone. Struggle for orientation. You may be in pain or so diminished by pain relievers that you cannot do any of the things you once liked to do. The comments he receives from you are full of pity. It cannot do its job. It can’t even perform normal bodily functions properly. Worst of all, none of this makes sense to him. The kindest and most loving act you can do right now is to gently help him find eternal peace.

Update 10-15-15: My wife and I had to euthanize one of our dogs last week. We did everything we could to keep our dog happy and reasonably healthy in her last years of life. There came a time when medications and nearly 24-hour care just weren’t enough.

In his final week, our dog seemed physically and spiritually exhausted. We felt like he was telling us, “It’s time.” Although we wish we could have her with us forever, we realized that her need was ahead of our wishes. He left in peace and without pain.

Groups of squares are commonly played during the Super Bowl, but can be played during any soccer game. The groups of squares are played on a 10×10 grid, which produces 100 squares, in which each row and column has its own number, ranging from 0 to 9. One member of the group buys each square by placing their name on the square. while empty and unclaimed.

Literally anyone can play and participate in free Squares pools, even if you are not a fan of the NFL or have limited knowledge of how the games are played. When you participate in the group of squares, you are not normally limited to a single square, although there is very likely a limit to the amount you can buy.

In the 10×10 grid in which the pool takes place, the top row of numbers is what represents one of the teams playing and the side row represents the other team that is involved in the game. Teams and numbers are not placed on the grid until the NFL game is filled or begins. The commissioner can activate the random assignment of teams and numbers on his own. The commissioner does not want the responsibility, teams and numbers are randomly assigned by MFS. This is done as a way of keeping the game fair and giving absolutely no advantage to any square.

More important; How do payments work? The most common payments occur at the end of each quarter. At the end of each quarter, the last digit of the scores for both NFL teams is taken and used as grid references to determine a winner. So if at the end of the first quarter, the Chicago Bears have 10 and the Indianapolis Colts have 3. Then, you would find the winning box by looking for 0 on the vertical scale (where the Bears were assigned) and 3 on the horizontal. scale (location of the Colts). Where these two numbers intersect on the grid is the winning square. I would continue this for the remaining three quarters, and possibly overtime, if a separate pay is set up.

Free Squares pools are a fun and interactive way to get in the game, whether it’s Monday night football, a rivalry game, or the Super Bowl. Visitors who are not overly interested in the game will get excited at the prospect of making money, which will make them want to see the game.
