The Magi Cards: Learning the basic concepts related to Tarot and Astrology

The old one Magic cards they are similar to the Tarot and other decks of Divination cards, as well as the normal playing cards we are so familiar with. This system is also known as Mystic Cards and the Quadrate system. It is also similar to Astrology in that there are elements and planetary energies that affect the natal and progressed Magi Card charts.

There are four sticks. Each suit has its characteristics that affect those whose main Magi birth cards are of that suit. In reality, our full birthday table often has all or most of the suits represented, but they are defined within certain perimeters. A Venus Heart card works differently than a Saturn Heart card, for example.

In fact, it must be said that a Magi Card with all its many facets and layers, works very similar to an Astrology card. There are millions of people, for example, who have the Sun in Aries and have the same very general content written about that sun sign. What makes it unique is the position of that Sun sign, its relationship to all the other cards in the chart by aspect, dignity, and transit. The same goes for Magi cards and their card number, suit, and position. The chart is a combination of the whole, not just one card taken by itself.

Still, that’s where we started in our studies. First, one must learn the meanings of the 4 suits, which is what this article is about. Then you must learn the meaning of the 10 numbers of each Suit and the Court Cards. For example, all 3 have certain characteristics in common, just like the other numbers. Finally, we study the meaning of a specific card in a suit and relate it to the position they occupy on the table.

From there, in advanced studies, we learn to blend the meanings and get into the layers of chart spreads… the 13 Year Chart, the 7 Year Chart, the 4 Year Chart, the Year Charts, the Season Cards, the Lunar Month Cards, the Weekly and Daily Cards.

To begin with, let’s look at the general meaning of the Suits:

The four card suits

HEARTS suit. It represents the Season of Spring and the element of Fire.

Spring is the beginning of the growth cycle. It is a creative time, and those of this suit greatly appreciate the Arts, beautiful things, harmony and peace. Love and relationships are very important and Hearts people tend to have many friends. Home and family is very important to them. They are passionate and put their hearts into what they do. They tend to be emotional and have empathy. However, they can wear their feelings up their sleeves and get hurt and offended easily. Some are lazy or too pleasure oriented. Loving unconditionally will overcome self-centered tendencies.

CLUB suit. It represents the Summer Season and the element of Air.

Summer is the time when things grow and flourish. Clubs rule over mental attributes and some are quite brilliant. They love to meet, learn, communicate and spread ideas. They are also creative and often excellent writers. They are skilled at discovering, obtaining, and sharing information. It’s the high intelligence suit, but they can get too mental, too analytical, too stubborn, even arrogant. Being too much in your head can bring indecision due to a confused feeling when you feel overwhelmed. They can be stubborn in their views. They should strive to be open and flexible, also think with their hearts, and be willing to work and listen to others and their points of view.

DIAMONDS suit. It represents the Autumn or Fall Season and the Earth element.

Autumn is the harvest period when things bear fruit and profits are made. Especially the financial gains. It is the suit of business talents and good sense. It is material, yes, but it is also the dress of high values, high morals and good ethics. One seeks to create value and have a healthy sense of self-esteem. However, Diamond people must guard against being materialistic and/or afraid of money or becoming greedy and selfish or doubting their own worth. Don’t equate having money with your value as a person. It is not!

Spades suit. It represents the Winter Season and the element of Water.

In winter, the cycles are completed, it is a slower and deeper time and it is a period of calm preparation for the new. It tends to feel like a heavier period and work, job and health issues are dealt with. It represents seriousness and a hard worker who is reliable, organized, determined, practical, has tenacity and self-discipline. It is also the outfit of spiritual wisdom and reflection and inner growth. It is the suit of rebirth and transformation. Many of this suit are “old souls”. These people need to make sure they don’t get stuck in a rut, become too rigid, or fearful. They need to take care of their health, have good lifestyle habits to support this. Do not become a workaholic or ignore the spiritual. Everyone has a creative side and developing/expressing this is a wonderful way to grow, be happy and be a positive person, as well as a constructive and trustworthy person.

Now let’s give an example to see how the different Suits can be related in a situation. Let’s say a person has just experienced a difficult traumatic event in their life. It brings sadness to their hearts, they feel worried and don’t know what to do, but they long for some relief and answers. Fortunately, he has many friends who care.

friend #1TO Heart, come to his aid. The Heart Person has a lot of empathy and feels the sadness together with him/her, giving him/her the emotional support and love that he/she so needs. He assures them that he is there for them and that he will be a good listener anytime.

friend #2TO ClubHe is energetic and positive, so he tries to cheer him up, tries to help him find something positive in the situation. He has lots of ideas and helps them explore possible solutions. It is objective, so you can see all sides and it helps them evaluate you rationally and objectively.

friend #3TO Diamond He has a great sense of justice and common sense. (Not that guys in other suits don’t, but Diamonds are better known for the trait) They will help you assess the event/circumstances to see what value there is or isn’t. Is there any hidden value in the matter? What is the morality of this? They are interested in understanding this and will help you figure it out in a very practical way. There’s no pie in the sky… just what can actually be done in practice. And if there are finances or contracts involved, they are quite astute in these matters, having great business sense.

Friend #4TO swords, will be down to earth, like the Diamond, and may suggest that they get back to work as quickly as possible, or somehow keep busy while they let this pass. They are also likely to suggest some spiritual solutions and urge you to have faith and trust in the Universe by letting go. There’s no point in trying to hold on. You are free only when you let go, they will say. In fact, they may suggest a technique to use…they’re full of “techniques”, like the Sedona Liberation Method. They may suggest that all of this may work out in your favor in the long run. They get the big picture.

Before going into the details of each of the valuation methods, let’s talk a bit more about the different types of securities.

Market value

The Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) defines market value as the most probable price a property should sell for in a competitive and open market. This assumes that all the conditions for a fair sale are present and that the buyer and seller are of sound mind.

value as is

In general, current value is defined as the value of the subject property as it currently exists without repairs or improvements. The as-is value must reflect the current condition of the property in question.

repaired value

Repaired value is generally defined as the value the subject property would sell for if the subject property were move-in ready, but not overly improved for the neighborhood.

quick sale value

Quick sale value is defined as the value that the subject property would sell for in terms of liquidation or forced sale. Quick sale value typically assumes limited exposure to the open market and restrictive selling conditions.

1. CMA Market Comparative Analysis

A CMA is a comparison of the prices of similar homes in the same general geographic area, typically a one-mile radius. Typically, MLS data and tax records are used to conduct the investigation. Includes: 1) Closed Sales: Properties that have sold and closed in the last 6 months, 2) Active Listings: Properties currently for sale, 3) Pending Sales: Listings that are under contract but have not yet closed, and 4) Expired Listings: Properties that did not sell during the listing period. After careful analysis of this information, a probable sale price is suggested.

Because the price derived from a CMA is somewhat subjective, the result typically results in a price range rather than a defined number. Most agents will perform a CMA without physically visiting the property. In general, a CMA prepared by an experienced agent with good knowledge of the local market is in line with the appraised market value of your home. Therefore, a CMA can be a very useful tool. Most agents offer this service free of charge as a promotional means to gain your business.

2. BPO Broker Price Opinion (also Broker Value Opinion)

A broker price opinion is when a real estate agent or broker will make an appraisal of a property similar to an appraisal. There are two types of BPO: an exterior or drive-by and an interior or full BPO. For our purposes, I will focus on the in-house or complete BPO, as it is the most complete and most valuable to a vendor.

The Broker’s Price Opinion has been a popular tool used by lenders and mortgage companies to appraise properties in situations where they believe the expense of an appraisal is not necessary. A BPO goes into much more detail than a CMA; the specific purpose of the BPO as stated by the client will dictate much of what the agent focuses on. In addition to the work done at a CMA, the agent will typically perform a complete inspection of the property and list any defects and recommend any necessary repairs. A detailed commentary of the material issues will be included.

Photos of the interior and exterior are taken and included in the report. Three recently sold comparables and three active listings are used to determine the value of the subject property, adjustments are made if necessary. The cost of a complete interior BPO ranges from $85.00 to $165.00, depending on the detail that the client wants. Listing agents typically charge for this service, but in some cases, they may credit the fee to the client upon successful closing of escrow.

3. Formal evaluation

A formal appraisal is by far the most detailed appraisal tool used to determine a property’s value. Appraisals are most often reported on a standardized form, and only licensed and certified real estate appraisers can perform an appraisal. Authorized appraisers are trained to be able to appraise real estate in various ways;

The sales comparison approach (same as CMA or PBO) is by far the most common, where comparable properties are used to determine subject value.

The Income Approach: This method is most commonly used to value income-producing properties, such as offices and apartment buildings. In some cases, depending on client requirements and/or the specific type of property, appraisers may use a combination of the sales comparison approach and the income approach to determine value.

The Replacement Approach: This method is most commonly used in newly built houses, where there are no established comparables, in houses built with unique materials for which no comparables exist, or, in the event of, say, a fire, where there is no remaining nothing to compare.

The cost of a formal residential appraisal generally ranges from $300.00 to $450.00.

4. Closing

The reason to hire a professional to appraise your property is to get accuracy. It is strongly recommended to start with a realistic price tag, and to do so, the seller must obtain an accurate estimate of the value of the property in question. This will set the tone for a smooth and productive sales and marketing process.

Keep playing like this, until a column is empty or you run out of moves

Once a column has been emptied, the focus of the game changes a bit. There is

now 3 main goals, “clean up”, “rearrange” and “expose”.

An overriding principle at this point is to try to keep the columns empty. Vacant

columns give you a lot more options in the game, and whenever possible, just

you want to fill your empty columns temporarily.

CLEAN

The first objective of the second phase of the game is to “clean up”. this is my term

to rearrange the files so that they become suited sequences.

For example, suppose you have 2 columns. The first has:

  1. 7 diamonds
  2. 6 hearts

and the second has:

  1. 7 clubs
  2. 6 diamonds

We can temporarily use the empty column, to rearrange the columns so that these

the columns become:

  1. 7 diamonds
  2. 6 diamonds

and:

  1. 7 clubs
  2. 6 hearts

We do this by moving:

  1. 6 of Diamonds in the empty column
  2. 6 of Hearts over the 7 of Clubs
  3. 6 of Diamonds over the 7 of Diamonds

The main thing to note here is that after we’ve finished cleaning this

sequence, the empty column remains vacant. This is critical, because we always need

to keep our columns empty when possible.

REORDERING

After we’ve cleaned up all the sequences we can find, the next objective is to re-

arrange any column. This is simply moving whatever sequence we can, to form

sequences. If moving the sequence will expose a new card (or a card that is not part of

of the sequence), then we always move it. The rest of the time is a trial

depending on whether the new sequence will be of the same suit, as well as what other

the cards are delaying the game right now.

EXHIBITION

Lastly, we try to expose new cards, while trying to keep our column empty.

We do this using multilevel undo:

  • Move a card/sequence to the empty column, which exposes a new card.
  • If the new card allows us to move the original sequence backwards, do so.

If the new exposed card doesn’t allow us to move it back, try moving a different one

card/sequence instead. If you cannot expose any new cards while you hold the vacancy

column, then try to deal some cards from the talon.

The most important thing is to create empty columns and try to keep them

empty! Now, will these strategies help you win every game? No they will not. Are
