Are my feelings normal? Explanation of the 7 stages of the complaint

Unfortunately, most people will deal with the loss of a loved one in their lifetime. That loss may be through death, divorce, or the destruction of a friendship. Whatever it is, most people will respond to this loss with grievance. Grief is an expression of emotional pain that is specifically associated with the feeling of extreme pain and sadness. When a person is grieving, they will often experience several different stages of their grief. The seven stages of grievance are loose interpretations of the rungs an individual experiences when facing a loss. These seven stages are good guidelines for what to expect, however, there is a lot of variation between individuals and stages can occur out of order, multiple times, or at the same time as another stage.

The first stage is shock and denial. This stage is defined when an individual denies the loss of a loved one in an attempt to avoid the pain and suffering associated with losing her. People often have a hard time accepting reality and have trouble determining what really happened.

The second stage is pain, guilt and fear. With this stage comes a feeling of intense pain along with feelings that life is extremely chaotic or out of control. Guilty thoughts may occur and people may be afraid of their life ahead. They are afraid of not being able to go on with life without the loved one.

The third stage is Anger and bargaining. During this stage questions such as “why me?” or “what did me do to deserve this?” This is a period of intense anger and hatred where emotional outbursts, blaming and bitterness often occur. Other valuable relationships may possibly be destroyed as a result. extreme suffering.

The fourth stage of the Seven Stages of Complaints is Depression, Loneliness and Reflection. This is a period when the loss is fully assimilated and the person feels all the effects of the loss of a loved one. He or she finds it a struggle to wake up each morning, and the classic signs of depression appear, including insomnia, loss of appetite, and hopelessness.

The fifth stage is called The Upward Twist. This is a period when an individual begins to improve and begins to adjust to the loss. Your life becomes a little less stressful and a little more organized. The symptoms of depression begin to disappear and the individual begins to feel a sense of calm.

The sixth stage is called Reconstruction of Life and Elaboration. In this stage, a person begins to rebuild his own life without the presence of the loved one. There is a desire to fix and face the truths of losing him. They begin to realize the promise of the future and begin to release the pain of the past.

The final stage is called Acceptance and Hope. This is a time when the person may not be happy, but the bereaved person is able to remember the lost loved one without feeling devastating emotional pain. They are slowly recovering from the pain with a new sense of life and responsibility. They may not be the person they were before the loss, but they learn to deal with reality and move on.

These stepping stones are just the beginning of one’s journey to recover from pain. The individual still has a lot to face, but he begins to look to the future and finds happiness in what he has. Once again, it is important to note that these seven stages of grievance are not the same for everyone, and each individual may face different challenges within their own personal journey to find joy in life once again.

2007 College Football – Illinois upsets Ohio State 28-21, creating a fight for the BCS title game

Ron Zook, who was cut as Florida head coach after failing to duplicate Steve Spurrier’s record with the Gators, regained some respect by motivating his Fighting Illini to a 28-21 victory over No. 1-ranked and undefeated Ohio State on Saturday (11-10-07).

The win marked the first time Illinois (8-3) has beaten a No. 1-ranked team since 1956, and the first time it has done so on the road. The loss ended Ohio State’s conference and school streak of 20 consecutive Big 10 wins by the Buckeyes, who are now 10-1.

The loss not only dashed Ohio State’s dream of a national championship, but left the Buckeyes tied with Michigan for first place in the Big 10 when Wisconsin defeated Michigan 37-21 on the same day.

Not since November 14, 1959, had Michigan and Ohio State lost the week before their annual year-end fight to decide the Big 10 title. That’s how it is in the Big 10, tedious and boring since in recent years it’s always Ohio State or Michigan capturing the title. Other Big 10 teams compete, but they never seem to contend for the title.

Illinois put up 260 rushing yards against Ohio State which entered the game giving up just 65 rushing yards per game. This was not much of a surprise as Illini now ranks sixth in rushing offense nationally, gaining 261 yards per game. In other words, Illinois was on their game and Ohio State was not.

Zook got off to a slow start as Illinois head coach, going 2-9 and 2-10 in his first two years before earning his eighth win on Saturday against 3 losses. Zook went 1-15 in his first two years of playing in the Big 10 Conference, going 0-8 in his first year. You can bet the other Big 10 coaches know who Ron Zook is now.

Was Ohio State looking beyond Illinois to Michigan? I think so. The Buckeyes fell to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 poll.

13th-ranked Michigan (now 8-3) was eliminated by Wisconsin (also 8-3), 37-21. The Badgers were serious at home as they took a 23-7 lead in the 4th quarter and matched the Wolverines’ 2 touchdowns to maintain their point margin and preserve their victory. Michigan slips to No. 23 in the AP Poll.

Boston College (8-2), number 8 in the ranking, was defeated for the second consecutive week, this time by Maryland (5-5), 42-35. All the talk about the Eagles’ defense is fading faster than fog on a hot summer day.

Other teams that were embarrassed this week included 16th-ranked Connecticut (8-2), which lost to Cincinnati (obviously a better 8-2 team), 27-3, and ranked 16th-ranked Alabama. 21 in the ranking (now 6-4). ) that was overturned by Mississippi State, (also 6-4), 17-12.

Imagine, the state of Mississippi, which has been the SEC’s doormat for years, rises up and pummels Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide. Even if the Bulldogs lose to Arkansas and in-state rival Mississippi, the state of Mississippi is already eligible to bowl.

Alabama should handle Louisiana-Monroe next week and become bowl eligible with its seventh win.

Ohio State’s loss allowed a few other contenders to brag a bit against much weaker competition. Here are some examples:

1) No. 2-ranked LSU (9-1) ranked No. 107 Louisiana Tech (4-6), 58-10.

2) Oklahoma (9-1), ranked No. 4, defeated Baylor (3-8), ranked No. 119, 52-21.

3) No. 19-ranked Boise State (9-1) edged out hapless No. 166 Utah State (0-10), 52-0. Despite its rating, the state of Utah is a Division 1A school.

Only two 1A teams remain undefeated-No. Kansas (10-0) ranked No. 5 and Hawaii (9-0) ranked 14. The Jayhawks caught 4 touchdowns from No. 49-ranked Oklahoma State (5-5) but still won 43-28.

The Hawaii Warriors, ranked 14th but ranked 29th by Sagarin, were outscored 14-3 in the fourth quarter by Fresno State (6-4), ranked 74th, but outscored the Bulldogs, 37- 30, to remain undefeated. . Hawaii rose to 13th place in Sunday’s new AP poll.

In two weeks, Hawaii will host Boise State, now 17th in the poll and a serious threat, even in an away game, to beat the Warriors. Boise State is not to be confused with the cupcakes Hawaii has been playing all season. After the Boise State game, we’ll find out who’s down and who’s down.

The fact that Kansas and Hawaii are the only two remaining undefeated teams should come as no surprise for two reasons. One, Hawaii ranks first (50 ppg) and Kansas 2nd (45 ppg) nationally in scoring offense, and two, Kansas’ schedule strength is 97 and Hawaii’s is 157 among 119 schools. from Division 1A, which isn’t exactly impressive either way.

Two other games deserve attention: the Navy-North Texas fiasco and the impending Harvard-Yale matchup in the Ivy League.

No. 77-ranked Navy (6-4) held on for dear life to beat No. 180-ranked North Texas (1-8), 74-62, in a game without a shred of defense that set a new college record important for a combined game score. The 94 points in the first half (North Texas led 49-45) and the combined 63 points in the second quarter set major college records.

Just two weeks earlier, Weber State outscored Portland State, 73-68, to set the all-division record.

These basketball score soccer games tend to confuse everyone. Clearly, there is more interest in a 73-68 game than a 6-3 pressure game that emphasizes defensive play. That said, these high score games are getting ridiculous. They remind me of minor league baseball scores before they put limits on so everyone could go home and go to bed on time.

Harvard (7-2) beat Penn (3-6) 23-7 and Yale (9-0) remained undefeated, beating Princeton (another 3-6 team), 27-6, to set up a big matchup. at Yale in the 1-AA Ivy League. Both Harvard (ranked 152) and Yale (ranked 100) are a perfect 6-0 in the league and will meet undefeated for the first time since 1968 with the title on the line.

Last year, Yale beat Harvard at Harvard 34-13 to claim a share of the Ivy League title with Princeton. The victory over Harvard last year was the first since 2000. Stay tuned for this matchup as it is serious business in the New England area.

All-inclusive resorts mean everything is covered

I mean, some all-inclusive resorts provide it all and they all provide the basics. For example, each of the inclusive resorts includes all meals at a variety of restaurants. Many resorts offer a variety of restaurants to choose from so you and your whole family can eat as much as possible without worrying about the cost. Usually all tips and taxes are also included. Very often, alcohol is also included, so all drinks are free. Can you imagine what that could mean for an individual, couple or family vacation? If you like to have a few drinks by the pool, you can do it without having to think about how much you spent on drinks that day.

For example, you can get a wonderful spa package if you are so inclined to go to that type of resort. Several of the best resorts in the world are located in the Caribbean, some of which are all-inclusive. All-inclusive at a spa can mean that your package includes several free treatments. That could include, but is not limited to, a romantic massage for two or a facial and mud bath for one. There are a variety of different packages offered at various spas.

If golf is more your cup of tea, so to speak, then there are many wonderful golf courses in the Caribbean that can include green fees at their own course or at a nearby course on the island. You can get unlimited golf on some of the most beautiful courses in the Caribbean. Some of the courses may charge for carts and caddies.

Another activity that many people like to do at all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean is scuba diving. If you are already certified as a diver, either PADI or NAUI, you must bring your card before you can dive. If you are not certified, some of the resorts offer certification courses for your convenience. Free diving is almost a dream come true for those who love the wild nature below the surface. Some of the best diving in the world is in the Caribbean.

If you’re looking for an adult vacation without kids, yours or someone else’s, then an all-inclusive vacation may be the perfect romantic getaway for you and your loved one. They often feature a variety of dining options, water sports, entertainment, beach activities, and most have swim-up bars where the alcohol flows freely. There may be restrictions on age and traditional male/female pairings.

If you are planning your wedding and would like to have a honeymoon in the Caribbean, then again you have many all-inclusive packages to choose from. Then any of the above options may be a package that you would like to consider.

Marketing in social networks, truths and lies

Social Media Marketing seems to be the latest buzzword for anyone looking to increase their online presence and sales, but is Social Media Marketing (SMM) all it seems to be?

SMM companies are now popping up all over the place these days and they are telling anyone who will listen how incredibly important social networks like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are to their business but, for the average small and medium business, it does social media marketing. Do networks really live up to all the hype? Is it really worth spending a small fortune to hire an SMM company? And has anyone really researched this before hiring someone to set up a Facebook business page? Some SMM companies are setting up things like Facebook business pages (which are free) for $600 to $1,000 or more and telling their customers they don’t need a website because Facebook is the biggest social network in the world and everyone has a Facebook account. Now, while it may be true that Facebook is the world’s largest social network and yes, Facebook members are potential consumers, the real question is whether they are actually buying. Social media marketing companies are very happy to point out the positive aspects of social media like how many people use Facebook or how many tweets were sent last year and how many people watch YouTube videos etc. But are you getting the full picture? I once sat next to an SMM “expert” at a business seminar talking to anyone within earshot about the amazing benefits of setting up a Facebook business page for small businesses (with him, of course) and sell on Facebook. So, intrigued by the aforementioned “expert” advice, I looked him up on Facebook and found he only had 11 Facebook friends (not a good start). So, being the research nut that I am, I decided to take a hard look at SMM in regards to selling to see if it really worked, who it worked for, and if it did, why did Social Media Marketing work for them? And should businesses rely so heavily on social media for sales?

As a web developer, I was constantly (and now increasingly) faced with various social media challenges when potential clients said that having a website sounds good, but they had a Facebook business page and various sources (the ever-present but anonymous ones). they told me. them”) that social media was the thing to do, but after discussing their needs it became pretty clear that those potential customers didn’t really know why they needed social media or SMM to generate online sales, they just wanted it. small and medium businesses always recommended building a quality website on top of any kind of social media, why? Well actually it’s simple because social media is Social The media and social networks are Social networks that are No business media and business networks (which would be more like LinkedIn). I know it sounds simple, but it’s true and the statistics back it up. The fact is that social media marketing doesn’t tell you that Facebook is a social network, not a search engine, and even though the number of users on Facebook and Google is about the same, people don’t use Facebook the same way. the same way they use a search engine like Google (which has about half of the search engine market), Yahoo and Bing to search for businesses or products. They use it to stay in touch with family and friends or for news and entertainment. In a recent study by the IBM Institute for Business Value, about 55% of all social media users said they don’t engage with brands through social media, and only about 23% actually use social media to purpose to interact with brands. Now, of all the people who use social networks and who interact with brands, whether on purpose or not, the majority (66%) say that they need to feel that a company is communicating honestly before they interact.

So how do you use social media marketing? And is it worth doing?

Well first of all I would say that having a well optimized website will still bring you a lot more business than social media in most cases, especially if you are a small or medium local business because a lot more people will type in “hairdresser”. Port Macquarie” on a search engine like Google, Yahoo and Bing than ever on any social networking site and if you don’t have a website you are missing out on all that potential business. Yet despite all the statistics (not so good), I still think it’s still a good idea for companies to use social media, but not in the same way that many SMM professionals do today. Why? Because it’s clearly not working the way that they say it does.Basically SMM Companies and Business as a whole saw social networks like Facebook as a new market and ready to be picked and when Facebook started having users measured in the millions PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel invested US $500,000 for 7% of the company (in June 2004) and since then some venture capital firms have made investments in Facebook and in October 2007 Microsoft announced that it had bought a 1.6% stake of Facebook for 240 million dollars. However, from Facebook’s humble beginnings to now (2012), both SMMs and businesses have failed to truly capitalize on the sheer number of Facebook users online. The truth is that numbers do not equal buyers. Is it in the best interest of a Social Media Marketing company to talk about social networks? Absolutely. Is it in a Social Network like Facebook the best thing for people to believe that companies can sell en masse by advertising and marketing with them? Of course it is. In early 2012, Facebook revealed that its profits had jumped 65% to $1 billion in the previous year, as its revenue, which comes primarily from advertising, rose nearly 90% to $3.71 billion, so clearly the concept of SMM is working for them, but is exercising for you? Well…not statistically, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it never will.

I think the main difference between social media and search engines is the intent. People using Google are deliberately looking for something, so if they’re looking for hairdressers, that’s what they’re looking for at that particular moment. With something like Facebook, the main intention is usually to connect with friends and family. In October 2008, Mark Zuckerberg himself said, “I don’t think social media can be monetized in the same way that search (search engines) did… Three years from now we have to figure out what the optimal model is.” But that’s not our main focus today.” One of the biggest problems businesses face with social media and SMM is perception. According to the IBM Institute for Business Value study, there were “significant gaps between what companies believe consumers care about and what consumers say they want from their social media interactions with companies.” For example, in today’s society, people won’t just give you recommendations, Facebook likes, comments, or details without getting something in return, so the old adage “what’s in it for me?” comes into play. So the main reason most people give for interacting with brands or businesses on social media is to receive discounts, however brands and businesses themselves think that the main reason people interact with them in social networks is to learn about new products. For brands and businesses that receive discounts, it only ranks 12th on their list of reasons people engage with them. Most businesses believe that social media will increase promotion, but only 38% of consumers agree.

Companies need to find more innovative ways to connect with social networks if they want to see any kind of results. There were some good initiatives shown in the IBM study of companies that had gained some control over how they use social media to their advantage, considering that when asked what they do when they interact with companies or brands through social networks, consumers list “get discounts or coupons” and “buy products and services” as the top two activities, respectively, an American ice cream company called Cold Stone Creamery offered discounts on its products on its Facebook page. As an alternative, there’s a great program launched by Best Buys in the US called Twelpforce where employees can answer customer questions via Twitter. With both Cold Stone Creamery and Twelpforce, the profit is clearly in the prospect’s favor and the great trick to social media marketing is to sell without trying to sell (or look like you’re selling). Unfortunately, most social media marketing is targeted the wrong way. .

Building a tangible buyer-to-consumer relationship through social media isn’t easy and is probably the biggest benefit for businesses that use social media to boost their websites in Google rankings. But businesses need to understand that you can’t just set up a Facebook business page and hope for the best. SMM takes effort and potential customers need to see the value of what you have to offer through your social media efforts. Offer them something worth their social interaction and time, and then you can get better results.

Now, as a footnote, Facebook stock is down to less than $20 a share, that’s half its original price…and lawsuits are flying.
