DVD Review: Appleseed (Geneon / 2005)

The action quickly escalates until the final apocalyptic confrontation that pits Deunan, Briareos and the rest of Olympus’ E-Swat squad against an army of mobile fortresses the size of office buildings. Over the top, maybe, but there’s no denying it’s a real white-knuckle ride. It’s quite a simple anime pathos that goes for the jugular in its attempt to touch the heartstrings. Fortunately, Aramaki knows there is no need to dwell on the subject, and the movie recovers quickly.

In truth, Appleseed is very faithful to Shirow’s manga, discarding only those elements that would get in the way of a straightforward narrative … most notably Shirow’s weird sense of humor. I am not at fault with this approach; Shirow’s sloppy jokes work well on paper, but they tend to get tiresome when brought to life (as anyone who has seen his Dominion: Tank Police anime will know). Shirow’s fetishistic attachment to high-tech weaponry, mechas, and attractive young women is still very much in evidence, and should satisfy Shirow fans who are drawn to his work by these items.

High polishing is the technique of using abrasive discs and compounds to achieve a mirror finish on metal surfaces.

By polishing metal to smooth at a microscopic level, light is reflected back to the eye rather than being refracted by microscopic incongruity on the metal’s surface. It is like the difference between looking into a pool of still water and looking into rippling water. What the high polish does is smooth out the ripples so that the light reflects back towards you and thus shows your reflection.

Pros:

It looks great too! A high polish can also produce a true mirror shine, but unlike chrome, there is no bluish tint, but a pure white sheen.

High polish is inexpensive. The 21 “wheel that can cost $ 500 to silver will only cost about $ 100 to polish.

Unlike plated parts, a scratch or bump on a polished part can be repaired in one place for minimal cost and made to look like new again.

Everything that is veneered is polished first. To achieve a perfectly even finish with a plated part, the metal must be perfectly even (no scratches or dents) prior to plating, otherwise all these imperfections will show through the plating. So, you have the option to polish your pieces and then take a look. If you like the results, then maybe the less maintenance required with polished parts will make it worth saving the hundreds or thousands you would spend for plating. Otherwise, your pieces are already polished, so they should be less expensive to iron, if you wish.

Cons:

Unlike chrome parts, highly polished parts are prone to scratching. You should be very careful when washing and polishing your highly polished parts, as a single grain of sand or dirt on your towel can leave your part covered in swirl marks. However, there is the option of applying a clear coat of powder paint, which will seal and protect the finish.

Because highly polished parts do not have a protective chrome coating, they require maintenance to keep their finish looking new. The porosity of aluminum, for example, opens it up to oxidation, so you should always wax your polished aluminum after washing it. This will help to prolong its shine. Again, applying a coat of powder to the parts after polishing them will protect them from corrosion.

As you can see, there are clear advantages and disadvantages to both chrome plating and high polish. I hope this information helps you make a more informed decision when choosing between them. How to create a custom PUA routine stack

Greetings fellow Pickup and social artists.

I’m going to answer the questions above and help you prepare for the holiday season. After all, everyone came out to celebrate and no one to play with, we can’t have that now, right!

At bootcamps, we are continually asked the same questions, one of which is, “What are the best routines?” Mystery would say “with great dedication and good vibes you can say anything” and I agree 100%. Of course, you need to get excellent delivery and have had enough experience with Flame and Ghost Vibe to pull it off. But if you’re just starting out or want to get back to basics, what should you wear?

Just looking at my mind map right now, I currently have 158 polished routines. Do I use them all? NOT! – I simply used the routines as a goal to polish my delivery and truth be told, while new to the game, to help me focus on the Gambit delivery and not the responses I was getting from the women (yes, they weren’t They were always great lol).

So let me help you weed out a lot of nonsense and bad advice so you can start to experience some rewards and start enjoying this wonderful ‘Game’ of social interaction (no, you can’t ask Santa to deliver it on December day). 25 either)!
