How to get a good page rank on Google?

All companies and service providers, with an online presence, want to have a high Page Rank in Google, for obvious reasons.

But is getting high results on the search engine ranking page (SERP) a piece of cake?

Not!

If that had been the case, all of the company’s websites and web pages would have been on the first page of Google and other search engines. And, the various search engine optimization (SEO) agencies would not have been working overtime to improve the ranking of their clients’ pages, through different innovative and creative methods.

Why is this so?

Google follows a specific set of algorithms. Keep updating to improve the way search results are provided.

Over the years, the biggie search engine has morphed into a knowledge search engine from an information search engine.

Now if you want your pages and sites to rank high, think outside the box and provide relevant, valuable and well-written information, in a way that your readers will easily notice.

This is not to suggest that common SEO practices, including optimized meta titles and descriptions, structured URLs, user-friendly navigation, image optimization, Google authorship certification, etc., are not more relevant.

They still are. Without working on these aspects, you cannot expect to get a high Page Rank on Google.

What else?

Content is king.

Despite other factors at play, content is still the leader.

If your content is new, good, relevant and informative, and of course not buttoned up or full of verbiage, your sites and pages will attract decent business and traffic.

However, having quality content alone may not be enough.

You must promote and share it aggressively, via blog links and website URLs, and via:

1. Discussion forums, also known as open knowledge forums

2. Question and answer sites (Quora)

3. Pinterest (for sharing images)

4. Social bookmark sites (digg, delicious, reddit)

5. Good article sites (E-zine)

6. Social networking sites (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter)

7. Blog directories (Blog Lines, Bloggapedia)

8. Video sites (YouTube, TikTok)

Also, use relevant, famous and respected sites to post your posts in the Guest Posts section. To do this, write very well and provide high-quality, relevant content.

Also, use the Infographic option as well. SlideShare is an excellent tool for creating infographics.

Shared content with quality, supporting images, in a sequence, would do wonders to improve your Google page rankings.

Inorganic or payment methods

For instant results, use inorganic or payment methods, such as Pay-Per-Click (PPC).

PPC gives advertisers the opportunity to put their brand, product or service, in a very important position, in the form of an ad that targets a particular keyword or phrase.

PPC will get results very fast, although only for a short time. For long-term high Page Rank on Google, organic methods will be suitable.
