California Motorcycle Lemon Law

Buying a motorcycle can be a really exciting feeling. But your new ride can quickly turn from a beautiful dream to a nightmare if you are immediately faced with mechanical problems, safety issues and repeated repairs. After repeated attempts to repair it, he finally gives up, concluding that he bought a defective vehicle. This is normally called a “lemon”. The next question that arises after that is “Will I get my money back?”. Don’t worry, there are special lemon laws in every state, including California. If he lives in this sunny state and has sadly come to the conclusion that he bought a lemon motorcycle, read the following paragraphs.

First of all, you should know that there are many “lemon” lawyers in California and they are more than willing to help you resolve your case.

California’s lemon law covers motorcycles. However, the law that covers motorcycles, trailers, and boats is a little different than the law that covers automobiles. Under the California Lemon Law, motorcycles are covered by Civil Code section 1793.2(d)(1) which covers “consumer goods.” The lemon law covers consumer goods with a written warranty.

To qualify as a lemon, the motorcycle must undergo a reasonable number of repair attempts. If the problems persist, then we have a lemon. Keep notes of all repair attempts and collect all repair invoices. Then provide all the documents to the manufacturer or dealer and ask for the buyback.

In addition, covered defects for consumer products need not “substantially impair the use, value, or safety” of the product. The legislation was designed with cyclist safety in mind. And even flaws that may seem minor qualify a motorcycle for repurchase. Lemon law claims involving motorcycles are stronger and easier to ride than auto claims, due to the nature of the product and strong safety concerns.

As we said before, it is essential to keep track of all documents, notes and invoices. It is also important not to waste time. You can only report a lemon within a certain period of time after you have purchased the motorcycle, and only before your odometer reaches a certain number of miles.

It is recommended to seek out a lemon law attorney when faced with these types of issues. The California Lemon Law requires the manufacturer to pay your attorney’s fees. Motorcycle Lemon Law is a very specialized area of law that requires the experience and knowledge of a specialized attorney.

Composting toilets versus urine diverting toilets

Surgery

Urine Diverting Toilets (UDTs) work by separating urine and solids at the source. The urine is collected at the front and channeled and the solids fall into a container at the rear of the toilet. It is important to note that a urine diverting toilet does not break down waste, it simply collects it so it can be removed and allowed to decompose in an outdoor compost bin. The urine is channeled into a drain. It does not present an environmental threat as pure urine (from a healthy person) is relatively sterile. Composting toilets (CT) do not separate urine from solids. Nitrogen (from urine) is needed to fuel the composting process. With a composting toilet, bacteria will break down waste and in doing so generate enough heat (up to 70 degrees C) to kill pathogens found in fecal matter – thermophilic composting. Check out this post on composting for more information. Excess fluid from a composting toilet has soaked into the compost pile and is also a mixture of urine and fecal matter. This is called filtrate.

The filtrate can be treated or collected in a container and ideally stored for 6 months before adding to the soil. As for male urination with a UDT, males have to sit down, whereas with a composting toilet they can stand normally. Waterless urinals are an optional extra for both types.

Ability

The great thing about a UDT is that there is no maximum drive capacity. As long as the owner changes the bin to a new one, the toilet can go on and on. Urine is channeled neatly to a drain. Conversely, if a composting toilet is used, there is a maximum capacity, rated in people. The composting process occurs in the unit and lasts about 6 weeks. Therefore, if the amount of material entering the toilet is greater than the amount that the toilet’s bacterial population can process, it will build up in the toilet and take some time to recover. So it’s important not to choose a composting toilet that is below its intended use because with a CT you rely on a biological process to break down the waste for you; see post. But with UDT this is not a concern as all you have to do is replace the container.

Follow-up

The best thing about a composting toilet is that when the compost is removed from the toilet, it is safe to put it under shrubbery or in a flow garden. The thermophilic composting process has eliminated pathogens and is therefore safe.

No further follow-up care is required. There has been little to no unit failure with the UDT. That means you’ll need to flush the UDT more often (every 2-3 weeks) than a CT (every 3-6 months). In addition, the material that comes out of the UDT needs additional composting for 18 months before burial. This composting should be done in a compost bin that is sealed at the base and does not allow rainwater to enter. Therefore, more follow-up care is required with the UDT, which is up to the owner to manage it properly. Some local authorities view this aspect of UDT as a negative, as there is a potential for human error and faecal matter coming into contact with the water table.

Price

Examples of urine diverting toilets are Separett Privy 500 and 501, Separett Villa and Biolan Separating dry toilet. Generally speaking, since UDTs do less for you, they are easier to design and manufacture, they are cheaper than CTs (Sun Mar and Biolan Eco range) which are more well designed and do more for the owner.

I hope this explains this problem a bit. Please contact us for more information.

Are you insecure about your ex and don’t know if you will get him back? Follow these tips now

When a person has fallen deeply in love, he would not consider any obstacle as difficult when he needs to get his ex back. He can move mountains and even swim in the deepest sea, hyperbolically speaking. It’s not too late to win it back, so get moving now and follow these handy tips:

Engage in small talk.

After a long time without communication, now it would be better to send refills. Example of which is leaving comments on your social media sites. Sending a “hello or hello” through the power of the short message service (SMS) is also an effective way for anyone to convey interest.

Keeping fit.

A common mistake of people when they are abandoned by their girlfriends or boyfriends is that they indulge in different types of vices. Contrary to their goal of moving on or overcoming relationship hangups, it only makes them more miserable. Working out for washboard abs and toned curves works wonders!

Invite him to dinner.

A special dinner for two at a fancy restaurant causes a couple to relive their past together. It can also be the perfect time to talk about repairing the ruins of the past. In other words, this dinner date is a foot-in-the-door technique for starting over. It is a review for a relationship that has gone bad.

Get a new hobby.

Channeling one’s energy into productive activities makes someone more interesting and a good catch. Take photography lessons, surf the waves, climb the highest mountain, and volunteer for a weekend Sunday school!

Buy new clothes.

It doesn’t hurt to spend money on a worthwhile activity to improve yourself. Adapting a new sense of style makes someone more attractive and eye-catching! Who would not agree that improving the style helps?

Learn new things about him/her.

It always helps to learn new things about one’s ex. It only shows her genuine concern and interest in him/her.

Never talk to your friends about the break up.

Talking about your relationship with your friends only aggravates the conflict and could lead to a permanent separation. Keep quiet about the issue and let it be discussed only with the people involved.

Start moving before it falls in love with other fish in the sea. Take advantage of the old days we spent together. This is a viable investment for him/her to get back to square one and start things over.

Paris

Paris is known as the “Romance Capital of the World,” and for good reason. For lovers there are so many romantic places to visit: The quays of the Seine, its tree-lined squares and elegant parks, the many small and romantic restaurants. Or better yet, you can book a cruise on the Seine River.

barbados

Barbados is an island in the eastern Caribbean that is sometimes referred to as a “lovers’ paradise.” If walking with your loved one along miles of unbroken sandy beaches appeals to you, then Barbados is your romantic destination. While you’re there, try one of the local sunset cruises on a yacht or sailboat.

gretna green

Have you never heard of Gretna Green? Ought. She is often referred to as the “Wedding Capital of the World.” Gretna Green is a small, historic town on the west coast of southern Scotland, on the Scottish/English border, where everything, it seems, is geared towards romance. While you’re there, you may want to stay at Comlongon Castle, which is located 15 minutes from Gretna, and also serves as a very popular castle wedding venue. Comlongon, a restored 14th century medieval Scottish castle, offers 14 individually decorated four-poster rooms, perfect for romance.

littleconos

The Poconos in Pennsylvania is another destination that has been called the “Romance Capital of the World,” popular as a destination for couples getting married or on their honeymoon. For the ultimate in romance, check out the Roman Tower Suite at Pocono Palace, which is designed in a Grand Roman theme. Of course, what’s grand to some is gaudy to others, but the Roman Tower Suite comes with floor-to-ceiling columns, vaulted ceilings, and a 7-foot-tall champagne flute whirlpool bath built for two.

Niagara Falls

What the world needs is another “Romance Capital of the World.” That’s why Niagara Falls exists, located on the Niagara River on the New York-Ontario border. It is not the highest waterfall in the world, but it is certainly the most famous, for its beauty, its power and its weddings. Niagara Falls is actually a collection of three waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls (called Canadian Falls by some), American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls.

Virginia

Yes, Virginia, Virginia is for lovers, as the tourism and travel slogan goes. And, romantic it is. With over 5,000 miles of coastline on the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay, how can you not find romance in Virginia? And, for those wine lovers among you, Virginia is also home to more than 60 wineries. While you’re there, you may want to stay at one of Virginia’s most romantic B&Bs, Cedars of Williamsburg Bed & Breakfast, located just a 7-minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg.

catalina island

Catalina Island is so romantic that they had to write a song about it. The “Island of Romance,” located approximately 22 miles southwest of Los Angeles, has been host to romantics and newlywed couples for decades. Try timing your visit with a special event held at the Casino Ballroom, one of Southern California’s greatest Art Deco treasures. If you have the opportunity to dance in the Casino, you have to take it.

Tips to keep in mind when planning your romantic getaway

Consider booking the honeymoon suite, if your hotel has one. Honeymoon suites aren’t just for newlyweds. For a little more money, you can get an in-suite jacuzzi, rose petals scattered everywhere, or even a heart-shaped bed.

Consider room service. Your romantic getaway can be even more romantic if you include a candlelit dinner in your own hotel room.

Consider what is around your hotel or accommodation. Think of a romantic walk to a nearby park, a trip to a beautiful museum, or a romantic dinner. There are many things you can do to increase the romance. Find out what can be done around the hotel that is romantic. Remember, planning a romantic getaway is about more than choosing a romantic location.

Rome: city of seven hills

Rome, the capital of Italy, is historically known as the “City of the Seven Hills”. According to Roman mythology, the seven hills of early Rome were Cermalus, Cispius, Fagutal, Oppius, Palatium, Sucusa, and Velia. But now the modern ‘City of Seven Hills’ includes Myrtle, Blossom, Clock Tower, Jackson, Lumpkin and Old Shorter hills and Aventine Hill.

At first all seven hills were occupied by different small villages and were not grouped together or recognized as one city called Rome. The residents of the seven hills began to participate in a series of religious games that began to unite the groups. Thus the city of Rome was born when these separate settlements acted as a group, draining the marshy valleys between them and turning them into markets. Rome became the most beautiful city in the world that soon began to rule the entire world.

Five of the seven hills of modern Rome are populated with monuments, buildings and parks. The Capitoline Hill now houses the Municipality of Rome and the Palatine Hill is an archaeological area. The monuments of Rome still stand as a reminder of Rome as one of the greatest centers of Western civilization.

The Eternal City is home to a rich heritage and art. There are many luxurious ancient palaces and one of them is the ‘Golden House of Nero’. Built on approximately 200 acres of land, the palace has a 150-foot statue of the nude Nero at the entrance. The only ancient building that remains intact today is ‘The Pantheon’ whose spatial concept makes it an architectural marvel.

In addition, there are many more things like the Pantheon, the Roman Forum, the Vatican Museums, Piazza Navona and the Capitoline Museum that attract visitors from all corners of the world. The charming city has one of the best collections of cheap hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping arcades that promise to make your trip a pleasant one.

7 Bible reading tips for 2022

The purpose of this article is to provide tips that can enhance your scripture reading in 2022. Oh, what a treasure chest of spiritual riches God has placed within our reach! Now more than ever, may the Word be sweeter than honey and more precious than gold.

Here are seven tips to help you read the Bible this year.

TIP #1: Read the Bible like any other bookMy first suggestion is to embrace what I call “A Better Way to Read the Bible.” Simply put, a better way to read the Bible is to read it like any other book, which means we read everything. Think about the last time you read a book that you really enjoyed and benefited greatly from. Did you read it all or just a part? Did you read only a few sections, or did you start from the beginning and work your way to the end? I state the obvious, but to truly understand a book, isn’t it better to read it through?

TIP #2: Read the Bible like no other bookMy second suggestion is to pray… before, during and after reading the Bible. This is one of my favorite prayers to read the Bible: “Open my eyes that I may see the wonders of your law” (Psalm 119:18). The word “law” can mean “instruction” or “teaching.” The Word of God, like no other book, contains God’s instruction and teaching. While the Bible should be read like any other book, it should also be read like no other book, because there is no other book like the Bible. It is the only book written by God, and we need his supernatural help to understand it.

TIP #3: Get the big pictureWhen reading the Bible, always keep in mind what Jen Wilkin states so succinctly: “The Bible is a book about God.” I take this to mean that the Bible is first of all Prayed principally about God It is His autobiography. Until just a few years ago, this was a new idea for me and a hard pill to swallow, so I know it may surprise some. But like life itself, the Bible is not primarily about us. Sure, we’re there too, and the Bible has a lot to say about you and me. But we are not the focus. Gods. Therefore, each time you read the Bible, ask yourself, “What does this passage teach about God (Father, Son, and Spirit)?” And then ask, “What is my response to this teaching about God?”

TIP #4: Write down your thoughtsWrite your answers to those two questions in Tip #3. Keep a Bible reading journal. This doesn’t have to be fancy. Record your thoughts in a word processing document or spiral notebook. I always learn and retain more when I interact with the material I’m reading. Don’t just read and pray. Whenever possible: Read, pray and write. Even better: pray, read, pray, write and pray.

TIP #5: Commit to reading the entire Bible (or at least the New Testament)Yes, I go back to Tip #1: to understand any book, it is best to read it through. Resources abound to help you do this. Bible reading plans are a good place to start, so search online and find one you like. So… Go ahead! By the grace of God and to the glory of God, it can be done.

This is how I have been approaching the task of reading the entire Bible. For several years I have been reading the entire New Testament in one year. This can be done by reading one chapter a day, five days a week. Then every two or three years I read both the Old and New Testaments in one year. This is how I have been doing it for the last 15 years, and it has worked well for me.

If you’re new to the Bible, or if reading the entire Book seems too intimidating right now, why not start with the New Testament? Eventually, however, you will want to read both Testaments; Your understanding of the New Testament will skyrocket to a new level when you read and understand the Old Testament. And when was the last time you read only the last 25% of a book?

TIP #6: Get help understanding what you readHowever you read it, take advantage of the many wonderful resources that can help you understand the Bible. God has given the Church many gifts. One of those gifts is knowledgeable Bible teachers who have spent years studying the Bible so they can help God’s people understand it.

The Bible is both a Book and a Book of Books. As you read the Bible, take time to get the big picture of each individual book. A good study Bible should have an introduction and an outline for each book, which you would do well to read and use to navigate that particular book. Another important aspect of the Bible is the variety of literary genres found in the Scriptures. Again, find a study Bible to help you learn what these genres are and how they differ.

TIP #7: Search your heart for the answer to this great questionFinally, let’s not forget the “Why” question. You are reading this article because you want to read the Bible. That’s such a good thing, or so it seems. But why? What is your motive? That is such an important question. It is a matter of life and death. I think about this a lot because I know that my reasons for reading the Bible have not always been pure.

And you? How do you answer the question, “Why do I want to read the Bible?” The true believer reads the Word of God primarily to know and glorify the God of the Word. There is a big difference between reading for the purpose of knowing God and reading to know God. Let the latter be your motive, not the former.

Let’s toast to a grace-filled and God-blessed New Year, and to knowing God better in 2022 through reading His Word.

A loaf of bread – what more could you need in Orange County, California?

I used to make a lot of bread. I loved taking out my frustrations by kneading it. I loved the aroma in my house while it was baking. There was nothing better to accompany one of my homemade stews or soups for dinner. My family loved every loaf. They not only loved savouries, they also enjoyed sweets. Toasting a thick slice with some preserves for breakfast was drooling on many cold mornings.

Then they grew up and left. Making a loaf of bread for just my husband and me is pretty ridiculous. I rarely eat a sandwich and prefer cereal for breakfast. My husband is one of those people who won’t eat his bread unless it’s fresh out of the oven. After that, he considers it stale and does not touch it.

Now when soup season rolls around I buy a loaf of artisan bread and use what we need and freeze the rest. Here are some of the best I’ve found in Orange County:

Believe it or not, Costco! Especially if our “kids” join us. A shipment of the most wonderful artisan breads from La Brea Bakery is delivered every day. Our favourite, either the rosemary and olive oil or the kalamata olive. The only drawback, besides having to buy two large loaves, is that you have to be an expert in slicing!

Von’s or Pavilion’s also have wonderful artisan breads with many flavors and textures to choose from. My favorite thing about this new “loaf of bread” is that they will cut the loaves to your specifications! Thin, thick, it doesn’t matter, they will accommodate and accommodate. They also have an area to make your own nut butters. So you can really create the pretty old-fashioned PB&J (peanut butter and jelly)!

Panera’s is one with gourmet breads. Tucked away near Mother’s Market in Costa Mesa, this little place offers great produce. The aroma of wonderful baking is truly intoxicating. It’s worth the trip and the wait, which both times I went in was about 15 minutes.

Pacific Whey Baking Company at various locations throughout the county. In addition to the wonderful breads, the breakfasts here are fantastic. Personally my favorite is the chocolate pinwheel. Great bakery items no matter what you think here. Trust me, when you see the display, you will NOT stop at a loaf of bread.

Now I personally didn’t enjoy Boudin Bakery very much, but there are many who think this place has the best sourdough. They boast of using a 150 year old starter motor. Maybe I prefer better the sourdough I tried at Vie en France just because the staff treated me better. It’s up to you.

If you’re more inclined toward challah, Jewish rye, and whole wheat rye bread, look no further than Solomon’s Bakery in Laguna Hills or Katella Bakery in Los Alamitos. Both are made on the premises and all types are very good.

Remember, bread is the sustenance of life; all the places mentioned above know this and make it worth your while to take one of their breads home and have a big bite.

7 Secrets to Getting Baby to Sleep at Night

Babies are adorable and you just can’t get enough of them, can you? Let’s face it, one way or another, babies are a handful. I’m sure you’ll agree with that, especially if you’re a new parent. Probably the main problem for most new parents (and even for those who have had more than one child) is putting the baby to sleep at night. Having a Sealy Baby Ultra Rest mattress or Sealy Perfect Rest crib mattress just isn’t enough.

Little ones have irregular sleep patterns. As such, it can be quite a challenge to develop that habit of sleeping through the night. On the other hand, you can try a number of things to help them develop a regular bedtime schedule at night. Of the many ways to send your little one off to dreamland, here are seven that so far seem to be the most effective:

1. Schedule naps

One of the best techniques is to schedule your child’s naps and stick to the schedule. It’s usually ideal to have 3-4 quick naps throughout the day, and if possible try to keep the child awake during the late afternoon so he can sleep early at night.

2. Rituals at bedtime

Habits develop due to regular rituals. Have a bedtime ritual: give your child a warm bath, change him into her pajamas, give him milk, read him a book, or rock him to sleep.

3. Lullabies

Lullabies are a classic, their soothing melodies can surely send anyone to dreamland (literally anyone because sometimes parents even fall asleep before their children when listening to lullabies). It’s ideal to get one of those CDs that you can play over and over until the baby falls asleep.

4. Serene environment

Serene = calm. Naturally, you will want to put the baby in a quiet place where it cannot be disturbed. Most of the time, babies are light sleepers, so you need to make sure that nothing bothers them. Also, you may want to make sure the area is dimly lit because bright lights make it difficult for the child to fall asleep.

5. Go to bed early, get up early

Everyone has a biological clock that tells them when to rest or when to get up. To “adjust” the child’s biological clock, you need to train him to wake up early in the morning, take only short naps during the day, and sleep early at night.

6. Bed = Sleep

Even at a very early age, parents must educate the baby to associate the bed with sleep. To do this, you should avoid doing other things in bed besides sleeping.

7. Mobile

Cell phones have an inexplicable way of making anyone fall asleep; anyone because even adults get sleepy looking at them too!

These are just seven of the many other ways you can try to get baby to sleep at night. Of course, it will surely help if your child has a very comfortable bed.
