Barcelona and Real Madrid ready for the 2014-15 season

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are two of the most exciting teams in the world. The best players on the planet ply their trade in the Spanish Primera División and mainly in these two powers.

Last year, Atlético de Madrid beat both Barça and Real in La Liga. Although he failed to win the Champions League final against Carlo Ancelotti’s team, overall he had a great season.

The ten times European champion, Real, has one more goal this season and that is to win the Champions League again. No club has ever won two consecutive Champions League trophies. To compete for all the important trophies, the Spanish giants have added some notable signings. Toni Kroos is one of them and he has justified his value to be summoned by one of the most successful clubs in the world. Kroos was phenomenal for German champions Bayern Munich and was among the best players in Brazil’s 2014 World Cup, which his national team ultimately won.

La Real not only nabbed the World Cup winner, but also convinced the best player of the tournament to sign with them. James Rodríguez was the star in Brazil and took his team quite far in the tournament. His tally of 6 goals helped him win the Golden Boot. It will be quite interesting to see how he would fare at the Santiago Bernabéu under Ancelotti, who describes James as the player who would be the future of Real Madrid. For their part, the outgoing players are Nuri Sahin and Morata.

It is very possible that Real will win more trophies than the previous season as the Galacticos look more powerful than ever.

Barcelona have not done badly in this summer market either. The Catalan giants took the opportunity to sign probably the best striker in the world at the moment. Luis Suárez is a flawed genius and definitely attracts controversy. He would be out until October 25 and could participate in the first Clásico of this season. In addition to the former Liverpool man, Barça have signed Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Ivan Rakitic and Jeremy Mathieu. Alexis Sánchez and Bojan Krkic are the players that the new Camp Nou coach did not need.

Barcelona looked pale last season and would be looking to regain their dominance in world football. Leo Messi would once again be key for the blaugrana and would be assisted by Suárez, Neymar and Iniesta. We cannot predict which team would do better than the other due to the great quality of both sides.
