What are the odds of winning soccer pools?

Winning football pools on a regular basis seems like a dream (or pure fantasy) for many people. However, it can be done, if you have a system. How can you work the odds? It is a question that many people ask themselves!

Let’s look at the basic probabilities. With a coupon of 49 matches (games), we seek to identify a winning line of 8 point draws in the British triple odds groups if we want to win a 1st dividend (a point draw or SD is a result where both teams finish top with the same number of goals, not zero). If we bet only on 1 line (no one does, but let’s put that aside for now), then the odds of selecting the correct 8 matches out of 49 are roughly 450 million to 1. With the UK lottery, the odds are 14 million to 1 for a six number combination, by comparison.

If we bet 45,000 lines in one entry, that brings the odds down (on a purely random basis) to around 10,000 to 1. That’s getting a lot better. Now, there are complications. There will not always be 8 SD results on a given coupon, and sometimes there can be as many as 15 or even more. During the latter part of 2009, the number of tied games (both SD and no-score draw) ranged from 12% (1 no-score and 5 score-ties) to 38% (5 no-score and 13 SD) of the coupon. The maximum number of draws during that 12-week period was 14. Please see the attached chart.

Take for example a week where there are 13 ties. With 13 such draws, there are 1,287 possible combinations of the 8 required for a 1st Dividend. This helps our odds considerably: 10,000 to 1 becomes 7.77 to 1 (well, 8 to 1 for simplicity). That’s with a random selection of our 45,000 lines.

Now, let’s assume that football teams play fit (not always or consistently true), but let’s say we can predict tie games with 60% accuracy within our teams. This means we have a 20% higher chance (10% margin above the 50% random). So the odds of 8 to 1 now become 6.4 to 1 (or 13/2 if we were betting on horses). There are other ways to sharpen the odds in our favor, and much more to work on a system, but I hope this article gave you an idea!

Interstellar – Movie Review

What if, in the not too distant future, the Earth’s resources were about to run out? In a world like this, existence becomes a daily struggle and humanity would give up their role as explorers to become simple caretakers. More engineers are not needed, but farmers, since the food is running out. Even NASA has to exist in secret, since the costs of space travel would not be tolerated by public opinion. This time, our planet is not destined to be saved, it is destined to be abandoned. Cooper, now a farmer who was once a NASA engineer and pilot, is chosen by a group of NASA scientists to lead an interstellar expedition outside our galaxy in order to find another planet suitable for supporting human life. If the plan is successful, the people of Earth will be transferred to their new home. If any trouble arises, plan B is to repopulate the new world to allow the human species to continue to exist, leaving Earth’s population to their fate.

Director Christopher Nolan does another impressive job, taking on the sci-fi genre in a truly original way. He renews his constant commitment to ambitious projects, and even this time, we are not disappointed. Like his main character Cooper, one world just doesn’t seem to be enough for Nolan, so here he goes, taking us to the stars, imagining a world where he travels through time and space and reaches Saturn or explores new planets outside of our own. Solar System is not enough. more a dream, but a possibility.

The special effects are also notable. how was it for Beginning, even here the earth bends and curves: space, like time, becomes relative. And because time runs faster on Earth than it does in space, for Cooper the mission – after some unexpected twists and turns that see the crew lose decades on Earth – soon turns into a sentence of probably never seeing Earth again. sons of him In addition, the group of scientists discovers the strong inhospitableness of the space grounds for human life. Wandering blindly in an unknown and still mysterious Space, whose laws are alien to humanity, love becomes the quantifiable bridge that leads to a solution, the God who transcends time and space and moves the stars.

Interstellar It is a film that will stay with you for days. It is a film to see for the beauty and melancholy of the Universe portrayed by Nolan, for the wonder of interstellar travel made a reality. The music also deserves an important credit, making the perfect commentary for each scene. The extraordinary and final turning point of history leaves us stunned. Nolan chooses sci-fi drama, the laws of physics, and theories about the fascinating yet unsolved mysteries of the Universe, allowing us to dream of the possibility of humanity one day understanding them, and blends it all with his unique direction. What you have is a powerful, impressive and memorable movie. Seeing is believing.

Data collection techniques for a successful thesis

Regardless of the degree of the subject and the research topic you have chosen, the basic requirement and process of all remain the same, that is, “research”. Research itself means looking at a searched content and this involves some proven fact along with some practical figures that reflect the authenticity and reliability of the study. These facts and figures that are required to prove the foundations of the study are known as “data.”

These data are collected according to the demand of the research topic and its study carried out. Also, their collection techniques vary along with the topic in detail, for example, if the topic is like “Change the Era of HR Policies”, the data requested would be subjective and therefore their technique depends on the same. While if the topic is like “Causes of performance evaluation”, then the requested data would be objective and in terms of figures showing different parameters, reasons and factors that affect the performance evaluation of different numbers of employees. So, let’s take a broader look at the different data collection techniques that provide a reliable foundation for your research:

• Primary Technique – Here, the data collected directly by the first-hand source is known as primary data. Self-analysis is a subclassification of primary data collection: as understood; here you get own answers for a set of questions or a study. For example, in-depth personal interviews and questionnaires are self-analyzed data collection techniques, but their limitation lies in the fact that self-response can sometimes be biased or even misleading. On the other hand, the advantage is in the court of the most up-to-date data, since it is collected directly from the source.

• Technical secondary – In this technique, data is collected from previously collected resources, it is called secondary data. Data is collected from articles, newsletters, annual reports, journals, published documents, government and non-government documents, and case studies. The limitation of these is that they may not be the updated ones or they may be manipulated by not being compiled by the researcher himself.

Secondary data is easy to collect as it is pre-collected and is preferred when there is a lack of time, while primary data is difficult to collect. Therefore, if the researcher wants to obtain up-to-date, reliable and factual data, he should prefer the primary source of collection. But, these data collection techniques vary according to the problem generated in the thesis. Therefore, review the demands of your thesis first before indulging in data collection.

cell phone

With a smile I have to admit that I’m starting to turn into the Old Fart I’ve spent my life despising. You know who I’m talking about; the type/person who says things like, “I just don’t understand the things people do these days.”

Well I do not.

The other day I was doing my photography and in the middle of a particularly spectacular sunset (as if that wasn’t all!), in one of the most remote parts of the world, some people walked into the frame. No sweatshirt. I like people. They tend to add to my images, like little specks of energy dancing on this great mom’s body.

And then, sitting together side by side in the perfect framing position for a shot of the sun lighting up the ocean right above their heads, they each pulled a cell phone from their respective pockets and marked down a few moments elsewhere.

One of my life quests has been to learn to be more here, more present in each moment. As if to insult a lifetime of searching, everywhere I go there are people THERE now! On the street, in their cars, in your driveway, by your side in the restaurant, coming out of the bathroom, even in the middle of a conversation! Wherever you go, whatever you do, you are surrounded by people whose bodies are in front of you, but their presence is elsewhere.

Not that this was new to me. Somehow, though, this felt like a new insult. Right in the place where you surrender your worries to the richness of the moment, one of the few places where you can share your loneliness with another human being, lives the Intruder.

When this cell phone thing started to move out of the cities and become more rural, I was living in an intentional community in Oregon. It was (a surprisingly eclectic group of) about 30 adults and 8 children who lived on 87 acres and ran permaculture design centers and conferences, as well as running a personal growth workshop and publishing a magazine. We were known as a community that really seeks to work the angle of interpersonal connection in the daily (and formidable!) tasks of life as examples of sustainability.

As you can guess, though not on the radical “tree keepers” side, even the ex-Navy intelligence officers in the community among us were clearly oriented toward a value system of relationship over action, presence over distance.

But then, in my fifth year there, more and more “guests” (people who came to a conference and spent the weekend living with us) shook their cell phones and walked (of course, within the limits of the places ” live” or whatever they’re called) the property — trails, streams, meadows — chatting with the ethers.

Every week we had a business meeting. At one of those meetings, where we decided on policies and stuff, barely giving it a second thought, I tabled a consensus motion to set aside a specific area for people to use their cell phones.

Hell, there was earlier. Years ago the community did the same thing with cigarette smokers. There was a small spot on the property, near the conference center classrooms, where one could go for a smoke. Admittedly it was a depressing shed type shed with a disgusting chair and an ugly open coffee can for butts, sitting on the cement driveway. If I had come to that community smoking, I would have quit out of sheer shame. Since the area was within sight of the roads leading downtown, it always looked pretty zoo-like, the only thing missing was Dunce caps for the less than 1%.

I fervently hoped that the community would feel that such a kidnapping would help people face themselves much more directly. Hopefully, what seemed to be true for smokers, eventually enough people would feel uncomfortable enough for word to get out that of course we’re tolerant, but if you smoke or use a cell phone in this part of nature You’re going to feel like an idiot.

I figured it would be a piece of cake to get over this, but boy was I wrong! As soon as the words “I’m sick of seeing ugly little bastards glowing everywhere I look” left my mouth, I noticed three or four hands sticking out of a table of about 18 people reflexively heading somewhere. of their clothing or anatomy to make sure they had their cell phones with them.

It reminded me of when I was a paramedic and walked into a tough bar across the tracks when we (my partner and I were the only white people around) would catch little metallic flashes from knives and guns. ready out of the corner of your eye.

And these were my community partners. It was then that I knew that life as I have known it is over.

Back to the beach. My first thought was, “What the hell am I going to do with this shot?” But then I realized, “Shit, they’re all like that!”

I’ve taken so many deeply moving nature photos of Primo with people and cell phones in them that I might as well gear my entire portfolio to turning Marlboro Man images into brochures, foldouts, and cell phone promotion brochures and whatnot, and at least make some money from the damn photos I end up throwing away because this unnatural thing is going on.

And now, it’s getting exponentially worse because cell phones take pictures.

On beach photography projects, even in May 2005, I could work with the sunset and photograph people celebrating it and not once worry about the result. Today (September) and in any shot with five or more people, one of them points her phone at her or someone else’s ear. Some of my images look like a gunfight in one of (actually, many!) Quentin Tarantino movies.

But how arrogant am I!

For being all that balanced person that I pretend to be, here I am denying the experience of other humans for nothing more than my own greedy need to die in a world that is familiar to me.

Probably ten years from now, it will be as common to have cell phone-laden photos of people as it is to see handkerchiefs in the pockets (suit pockets, no less!) of men on the street in photos taken in the 1950s.

Why does it sound scary to me?

Also, if I had spent a little more time observing and less complaining while on the cliff, I might have found that each of these people was, in fact, transmitting photographs of that joyous sunset to their recipients. How sweet: sharing this glorious moment with friends in Louisiana under four feet of water!

It’s hard enough being in a bad mood and having to listen to that bubbly fool on the other end of any phone. But being able to get the full picture of that joy is torture. The moment turns into a series of screw bullets, “See how happy I am? What’s wrong with your miserable existence?”

You are so busy getting angry with the happiness of the caller that you can’t even appreciate the beauty around you, that’s the soul that mobile phones suck out of you.

What will happen to our anonymity and privacy? “Come on darling, I know you’re miserable, but turn on the camera so I can really see!”

No, I’m not going to get a cell phone. I don’t have to The last time I and my motorcycle broke down on the road, for example, I jumped in the middle of the road, spread my fingers with my little finger pointing to my mouth and my thumb to my ear and within four cars and near side bump, a guy stopped and let me use his cell phone to call for help.

Like any passionate American, of course I reserve the right to be hypocritical. But still, because I’m an American, I shouldn’t have to give up my inalienable right to hide. There are fewer and fewer places to hide, and that, in the final analysis, is my bitch with the cell phones and the spawn of her.

Now, the privileged drive SUV’s with those systems that put them in contact with the Central Command immediately in case of an emergency. Like if one of the kids in the backseat says “I have to pee,” next thing you know a voice is out of the sky saying, “Just turn left, go two blocks, and turn toward McDonald’s… Oh, and while you’re there, don’t forget to enlarge the fries, the extra salt will help kids hold their bladders longer, and Mr. Mandel, please don’t run the red light like you did three blocks ago. “

While I personally have nothing against him, when Gary Coleman tells me (in commercials scattered across TV, the Internet, AND movies!) “Someone should” know where I am every minute of my life, I can’t help but shudder and brace myself for Armageddon. . .

I know it starts when people like Gary show up to me to prepare me for what life will be like. I know that the same technology that will allow you to see and talk to me will allow “them” to see and hear me, and frankly, I don’t want any of that.

Unless, of course, I get stranded.

Top 5 IT Security Trends in 2017

Complexity of IoT to drive towards security vulnerability

According to Cisco’s Visual Networking Index (VNI), it is predicted that there will be about 26 billion IP devices connected to the network by 2020. With the Internet of Things (IoT) reaching the levels of enterprise networks, government systems and the general user phones to such a large-scale security vulnerability will continue to affect these connected devices. Due to the complexity of protocols and standards, lack of skilled resources to manage the IoT environment, low-quality products with vulnerable security measures, and complex architectures, IoT devices have already been attacked by hackers, which is projected to get worse in 2017. In fact, organizations are not yet equipped enough to check even their popular apps for malware, which is leading to DDoS attacks and even providing an entry point into networks of companies for APT and ransomware.

The way forward: The battle will be won by those who can secure their IoT devices with custom solutions.

Cloud security gains prominence

Cloud security breaches have prevented many organizations from adopting cloud computing for a long time. However, this year a reverse pattern may be seen with cloud security expected to gain prominence in the IT ecosystem. Cloud security certifications such as Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), and Certified Cloud Security Practitioner (CCSP) provide a sense of refuge to organizations planning to join the cloud computing bandwagon. . In addition, the industry at large is seen sharing best practices and tips on how to safely start integrating the cloud. With organizations gaining confidence in deploying the cloud, as well as their on-premises solutions, cloud adoption is expected to increase in the coming year. However, the rate of acceleration would depend entirely on strengthening cloud security practices and reducing cloud security breaches.

The way forward: Investing in Cloud Security-as-a-Service would make sense for businesses, as it will help minimize security breaches, while lowering the costs of purchasing and maintaining firewalls.

Ransomware and malware everywhere

Malware attacks have become sophisticated over the years as they continue to transform, going beyond the defenses offered by most antivirus products and security vendors. As companies are seen embracing remote work, introducing wearable devices, and connecting the dispersed workforce through IoT-enabled devices, attackers are also expected to use technology to gain access to enterprise networks through the devices. of employees and hack the system. Mobile malware could be one of the biggest issues in 2017 that businesses need to proactively address. In fact, a mobile data breach can cost a business around $26 million, according to a study by Lookout, a mobile security company, and the Ponemon Institute, an independent research firm focused on privacy, data protection and information security. Additionally, with the proliferation of 4G and 5G services and the increase in Internet bandwidth, mobile devices may experience increased vulnerability to DDoS attacks.

Along with malware, ransomware will also continue to evolve in the coming year. Ransomware attacks on the cloud and critical servers may see an increase, as hackers would keep organizations on their toes to part with the extortion amount or face the risk of shutting down an entire operation. However, such payments may not even guarantee companies the future security of their data or even the recovery of their current data.

The way forward: stop being kidnapped. Protect your devices and servers with custom security solutions.

Automation to bridge the skills gap

Finding skilled IT resources will continue to be a major issue for the industry, and with it, newer methods to bridge this gap are also expected to emerge. One of the main trends anticipated for this year would be the use of automation to perform certain tasks, especially those that are repetitive or redundant. This would help IT professionals focus on the important tasks at hand and businesses make the most of their workforce.

The way forward: Implementing the right automation solution will help IT professionals gain instant access to any malicious threats instead of manually searching for breaches.

Secure SDLC, the way forward

Although testing is considered an important part of application security, it is often relegated to a later stage in code development. In the absence of regulations or industry standards, companies are often seen adopting their own methods when it comes to coding, focusing on developing code quickly rather than doing it securely.

The current process for the software development life cycle (SDLC) with its five main phases: Design, Development (coding), Test, Deployment, and Maintenance, has the major shortcoming that testing is done at a later stage. Security vulnerabilities are usually verified using methods such as penetration tests at a time when the solution is almost ready to be released to the market. This could lead to the system being susceptible to attack by any code that remains unverified. In the coming year, it is hoped that the industry may go a step further by adopting Secure-SDLC (sSDLC) to circumvent such problems. With sSDLC, code changes will be automatically analyzed and developers will be notified immediately in the event of a vulnerability. This will help educate developers about the bugs and make them security aware. Furthermore, vendors will also be able to prevent vulnerabilities and minimize hacking incidents.

The way forward: Moving toward secure SDLC will help companies get the code right the first time, saving time and costs in the long run.

MSP will continue to be the need of the hour

Managed Service Provider (MSP) was adopted to help businesses manage their hosted applications and infrastructure, with many predicting that with the implementation of the cloud, it could become redundant. However, over time, MSP has been seen to remain at the core of many business services. While most businesses have moved to the cloud, many businesses with mission-critical applications are unable to bring their infrastructure into the cloud ecosystem due to regulatory or compliance issues. These still need to be managed and maintained.

Additionally, deploying and managing mixed cloud and on-premises environments requires mature skill sets. MSP not only helps provide the right guidance, but even helps companies choose the right hosting, taking into account the company’s budget and prevailing industry security and compliance policies.

The way forward: MSP is expected to go beyond managing the IT environment. Such providers can become a business extension for companies to advise them on policy and process management.

Threat intelligence to become strategic and collaborative

According to the EY Global Information Security Survey, while organizations are seen to be making progress in how they detect and resist today’s cyber attacks and threats, considerable improvement is still needed to deal with sophisticated attacks. For example, 86% of respondents said their cybersecurity function did not fully meet the needs of their organization. Growing threats, rising cybercrime, geopolitical crises, and terrorist attacks are expected to continue to drive organizations to evolve their approach to resisting cyberattacks.

Incorporating cybersecurity strategy into the business process can also become an important component. Microsoft, for example, recently unveiled its $1 billion investment plans to implement a new integrated security strategy across its entire portfolio of products and services.

The way forward: Cyber security can no longer be approached in silos by one company. Companies must address the problem by working collaboratively by sharing best practices and creating war room programs.

Tips to pay your debts effectively

Outstanding debt can take a serious toll on even the best retirement plans that have been carefully crafted over a lifetime. Incurring debt is seemingly unavoidable in the modern age, as a result of both the higher cost of living and consumerism.

With each passing year, more and more Singaporeans sink into the debt fund as they struggle to cover their daily expenses and make ends meet. As of December 2016, the average Singapore household incurs an estimated $55,000 in debt, which is an increase of 3% from 2015. Easily 75% of this household debt comes from unpaid home loans. Some of this outstanding debt may even force retirees to expand their assets to cover their debt instead of passing it on to their beneficiaries.

However, there are several ways to effectively settle outstanding debt to ensure you don’t jeopardize some of the best retirement plans you’ve ever devised.

1. Set a budget and track

Creating a proper budget is a great way to analyze and plan finances. By allocating a fixed amount of money to a specific expense per month, the amount of expenses can be more strictly monitored and precautionary measures can be taken quickly if expenses exceed the stipulated budget. Only through proper budgeting can individuals or households create the surpluses needed to pay off existing debts.

Certain financial tools, like Excel spreadsheets or even Mint.com, are particularly helpful for keeping track of a personal or household budget.

The main problem of a person who does not keep track of his monthly expenses is that he does not know if he ends the month with a net reduction in savings, that is, if the expenses exceed the income and eat up the savings. Knowing the amount of balance left is crucial as a continued negative balance could lead to the creation of new debt. This type of debt is the most dangerous, as it accumulates at seemingly manageable interest rates month after month. Before the individual knows it, he/she will have made substantial interest-only payments.

Therefore, tracking tools are crucial to identify areas of weakness in monthly spending habits, but a person must take affirmative action to reverse the negative balance situation. This can be done by listing monthly expenses and making necessary cutbacks on certain expenses. Discipline is the key.

2. Staggered debts by interest rate

Debt laddering is another technique used to settle outstanding debts. It involves listing all current debt by interest rate, starting from the highest interest rate to the lowest interest rate. Debt with the highest interest rate costs more money, so this debt must be paid off first.

By paying off the most expensive debt first, your total debt will go down significantly faster. Some people who incur multiple debts per month and employ escalation in their finances generally pay off the minimum payment required for each debt and use the cash balance of their payments to pay off more of the debt with the higher interest rate.

For example, let’s compare two debt instruments: one, a credit card with an outstanding balance of $4,000 at an interest rate of 24% and another, a line of credit with an outstanding balance of $8,000 at an interest rate of 16%. . Ideally, the minimum monthly payment required to pay off each debt would be made first, and any leftover finances would be channeled to pay off more of the credit card debt, even if the amount owed is less.

Escalation is especially useful for dealing with multiple debts and avoiding the accidental creation of yet another new debt. Escalation also instills a sense of financial discipline that’s good for dealing with unresolved debt and preventing those debts from doing too much damage to the retirement plans you’ve considered.

3. Balance transfers

Balance transfers are another tool used to reduce interest expense while trying to pay down debt over several months.

For example, given the competitive nature of the unsecured credit market, banks often offer very low interest rates for customers who transfer their existing unsecured debt from other banks. Effective interest rates could be as low as 4% per annum versus a country’s normal 24% per annum on credit card balances. However, the problem is that such promotional rates last only for a certain period, for example, 6 months. However, balance transfers can lower interest costs on existing debt.

Balance transfers carry their own risks. People who transfer balances should remember to pay off the debt after the transfer or look for another similar opportunity before the lower interest on the account the balance is transferred to expires, otherwise you risk paying a higher rate of interest. even higher.

People who use balance transfers may also not address the ongoing accumulation of debt, thus eliminating any benefits of such a strategy. In the end, despite this cost-saving strategy, people end up with even more debt that hits savings, not to mention future retirement plans.

4. Contact Consumer Credit Counseling Services

If a person is having enormous problems paying off their debts or even making the minimum monthly payments, they should consider hiring a consumer credit counseling service. In Singapore, this service is aptly named Credit Counseling Singapore (“CCS”) and offers solution-based credit counseling for people beset by financial debt.

CCS’s debt management services are only $130 and match people burdened with debt with a credit counselor. The credit counselor will assess the indebtedness of an individual’s situation and assist them in making a financial estimate of the debts owed, identify the available resources that can be used to cover the debts and even plan a monthly budget that incorporates all living expenses. Solutions will be sought to address the problem of debt and negative monthly balances to ease the burden of debt.

If you are concerned about how your debt will affect your retirement plans, contacting CCS would be the right way to go. If the retirement plan has already taken into account the old debt, an adequate financial restructuring could reduce the interest and installment payments to be made.

Even the best retirement plans can be compromised by unresolved debt. By adopting better financial habits, such as setting a budget, escalating debt, and transferring balances, an unresolved debt situation can become easier to manage. If the debt problem persists, CCS can be contracted to find a solution to avoid unresolved debt. Financial advisors can also be consulted to optimize finances and manage monthly expenses, thus ensuring a better and more secure retirement in the future.

What to do when your husband no longer loves you

Hearing that your husband no longer loves you is probably on the list of the three phrases that you most fear hearing. Unfortunately, many of the wives I hear from have recently heard their husbands say these words. Sometimes the husband will make this admission in the middle of an argument or fight. And he sometimes he sits her wife down and tries to break the news to her as nicely as he can. I’m not quite sure which is worse.

The bottom line is that no matter how he says the words, hearing that he no longer loves you is not only devastating, it raises more questions than it answers. Wives who contact me about this are often unsure how to proceed. Many think that if their husband no longer loves them, then there is really nothing they can do other than try to end the marriage as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Although this situation is very difficult, I have seen it change countless times. Just because her husband said something in the heat of the moment doesn’t always make it true. And, even if it is, I’ve seen the right strategy make even reluctant husbands “fall in love all over again.” I will discuss this more in the next article.

You should know that although he may well think or say that he no longer loves you, his statement is not necessarily the reality: Your husband may mean every word you say and may not even be trying to cheat on you. But sometimes, she projects the problems she has in other areas of her life onto what’s convenient and there, like her marriage. This is called projection and is very common. This does not mean that she is happy with your marriage or that it is perfect. In fact, her saying that she doesn’t love you often reflects her dissatisfaction with the way the marriage is going (at least lately).

But there’s a big difference between being frustrated and wanting to get a reaction and not really loving yourself anymore. Many women will go to great lengths to get to “the truth” about this or to define how it “really feels.” They will harass her husband to define how much he doesn’t love them or constantly ask him if he is changing his mind. The truth is, it’s usually better to use this as a wake-up call and take action than to worry so much about specific definitions or clarifications.

Don’t assume his statement “I don’t love you anymore” means the marriage is over: Many of the wives who write to me give up their marriage shortly after hearing these words. They think that if her husband doesn’t love them, the next logical step is to let him go or get a divorce. The thing is the wife still loves him and we’re still not sure how she really feels as things are still explosive and fresh. There is no reason to give up until it is clear that you have to. Frankly, you’re probably still in the early stages and things could really go either way.

I have seen countless marriages recover from this and I have seen many men “fall back in love” with their wives as soon as those same wives began to handle this correctly. A hurtful statement (that was probably meant to provoke a reaction) doesn’t have to spell the end of your marriage. You can change this, but change cannot happen if you give up or get so discouraged that you do nothing.

Getting a husband to “fall in love all over again” with his wife: Even if we assume the husband was 100% accurate in what he said, that doesn’t mean he can’t bring “being in love” back into his marriage. People seem to constantly want to ponder if they are in love with their spouse. I probably hear from wives whose husbands have told them they love them but aren’t “in love” with them almost daily.

And, most people assume that when one spouse falls out of love, there really is nothing either spouse can do about it. An assumption like this is not only false, it can spell the end of your marriage when it doesn’t have to.

To understand how people can fall in love again, you need to understand why they fell in love in the first place. People assume it’s some kind of chemical reaction or fate, and while these things may factor into the equation, there are plenty of other things that go into “falling in love” as well. What attracts one person to another is quite individual, but it’s when the relationship is new and both people are on their best behavior and putting their time and efforts into the relationship that the “infatuation” occurs.

And once it does, people assume it’s never going to end, and after getting married, it’s easy to become complacent and take these things for granted. After getting married and having to manage all your commitments and obligations, it makes sense that you can no longer spend the time and effort you used to spend on your spouse.

This is completely normal and happens in most marriages I see. But it is also very detrimental to that same marriage and is the most common reason people assume they no longer love their spouse. The good news is that once you change your priorities and time allocations, feelings will often change too. As soon as you change your priorities to become the spouse you yourself would want, that’s when you see people “falling in love” again. Understand that most men want to feel understood, appreciated, and wanted. If you can meet these needs in a genuine way, you may see those loving feelings return.

The chemistry hasn’t necessarily changed. No one has sprinkled magic or pixie dust on the relationship. But what you put into it is directly proportional to what you take out of it. And the feelings it provokes are typically directly proportional to the efforts you put into it. Understanding this is the first step in bringing the love back into your marriage.
